The resort of Sarigerme was basically a shanty town with nothing happening except for a weekly market. Be prepared to travel but our hotel complex was fantastic.

The resort was nice but there was not loads to do. The small village of sarigerme has a variety of shops and bars and a market every week. The market was nice if you can handle the constant hustling to each of the stalls to buy. The only way to avoid this was to be blunt and say NO!

The beach was not great, it was covered with stoney sand and not smooth soft sand as most people like when they visit the beach. However the sea was warm and there was always things to do at the beach.

The turkish people are friendly but have a strong attraction to young british women so i would suggest that if you travel with a partner you keep him nearby at all times or face flirty, charming young men asking for your hand in marriage.

cannot really comment on sarigerme as we only went on market days, although the bars etc seemed clean enough with friendly people. Go and see Mustafa and crew... his trips are brill!!!

It is guite a small resort but the people are really friendly and it is well worth the 7 lira taxi fare from palace hotel. Drinks and food are really cheap and really good.Great market on Sunday.

Sangermie (something like that) was small but large developments are on the way to the area (Golf + more hotels)

Didn’t use the local bars/restraints as it was all in the Hotel Complex (PP) which is clean/good food and fun if you go with the flow.

The beach was natural and unspoilt (sand and shingle) and not suitable for a beach type of holiday - but great for walking up and getting away from the crowds!

Recommendations:
Get out of the hotel and see some of Turkey - it's beautiful! Talk to the Turks - they are very warm welcoming people who like a good joke and love kids. Don't book trips with First Choice - use a local agent - recommend Sarigerme Tours in town next to taxi rank. Mustafa and Eyup will take you on some amazing tours in small groups and charge half FC does. Suggest Dalyan/Mud baths/Turtle beach, Gocek islands boat trip and Jeep Safari.

All in all, we are delighted we went, so don't hesitate to go.

The only reason that I would visit this resort again would be to go back to this hotel. There wasnt much else to do here and it wasnt very well developed. I got the impression that this resort is just an up and coming resort. The beach was nothing to write home about and the sea was very rough. I went in once but it was quite difficult to get back out again as there was quite a steep drop after about 2 meters.

Only went to Sarigerme twice, but would have gone more if have found out about the 1 lira dolmus from the palace gates earlier.

market held on a sunday, but very in your face, but i suppose thats the whole of turkey

Shop keepers very friendly and will barter for better value than the market and also supply you with turkish apple tea (very tasty)

quite a quaint little village, give it a few years you wont know it

There is a tractor with a trailer that will take you to the beach from the village,

One downside the ATM that is there is a mobile one and is not working at the moment.nearest town that has one is Ortaca but there is a regular dolmus service there from the palce gates or the village.

I would visit again

A very small town, with friendly bar and shop owners. Food lovely and very reasonable. Sunday Market worth a visit - just to hear the banter, "Genuine fake", "Cheaper than Asda" etc.

We did not go into the resort really, only passed through. Though my husband and son hired bikes and whet through (looking for banks) and they said it was really nice. Locals very friendly and some nice pub/restaurants.

The beach was ok, not brilliant. Quite a bit of broken bits and bobs on it, which is a shame as if it was cleaned up a bit a lot more people would use it.
