Oh my god those fish are massive!!!
The lodge looks really nice, I've been told that it's quite nice for us girls to spend a couple of days up there at the lodge while the men are off fishing...........would you agree?, maybe I can get Mr Flipflop to learn how to hold a rod??

Hi GFF,Thats right its a great place to just relax there if your not fishing,
its a very small village with nothing there apart from a few local shops.
No one speaks any english at all,but there is a 800year old fort there
built on the side of the sea, which you can walk around, takes about
2hours to get right round it,and 10 mins to walk too from the lodge.
the lodge looks over the small fishing harbour. They will also drop the wives off at one of the many small deserted beaches there and collect you in the boat at a fixed time.Be warned though there are no beach shacks ,shade or sunbeds there. They have there own cook at the lodge who will either cook the fish you catch or somthing else if you prefer.couple of pics here
all in all a great trip.Split

Thanks for the pics. I've heard about the fort up there but didn't realise that it's so close to the lodge.....think I'll give it a try when I get back!!

I really like your pics, the fishing seems great. My wife would have something to say about getting dropped off on the beach however, she always wants to catch the biggest fish! What is the cost per day for the fishing and lodge?
Sandyboy,Dont know about this season coming,but feb 06 prices,were
For 2 days £80 ,inclusive of food, collection and return to goa,and usually
1 Trip on first day in evening and 1 Trip next morning early before a
lunch and drive home to Goa. includes rods and reels [PROPER GEAR}Depends on the tides. We have also been on 3 and 4 day trips. Its ok if you there for 4 or 5 months but 2 or 3 weeks you have to get it booked, and it can get busy Nov till march.

Think your right there,i dont know anyone whose caught one. Did you take it of the hook though
No way Split the driver of the boat took a water lily out of the river and held it to the fish and you wana see the bite it took out of the leaf...the day I caught the fish the man said make lots of noise with your rod (stick and string)and raw meat .
...I also got a big cat/fish that day and may I say 5 pirahina and 8 cat/fish were caught that day and only one by a man haha...
Thanks Split I will surprise my wife with a couple of days there.
