We arrived at the hotel and thought it looked nice, we put our bags away and went down to the pool, which was very dangerous for our two young children aged 5 and 2, there were steps everywhere and the bars around the pool side were missing so the kids could just fall through them. so i knew it wasn't going to be a relaxing holiday.
The food was absolutely awful, there was 8 of us and none of us were impressed with the food, there was little choice, the bread was always stale and the fruit was always brown, i was ill for 2 days after eating pink chicken, we were told it was supposed to be pink inside, yeah right! i had to buy our children food all week cause they wouldn't eat anything it was that bad.
the location was the only thing that kept us sane, it was right next to all the lovely shops and near to the beach front which was lovely to walk around of a night, as the entertainment in the hotel was terrible, it was in German and as we are English we couldn't understand a word.
The hotel staff were very unhelpful, most of the time there were no plastic cups for my kids and they had to drink out of glasses, no spoons no plates. When you asked for anything they shrugged their shoulders and walked away, they spoke very little English and we were the only English in the hotel, so we found it very frustrating.
The snack bar was something to laugh at, it had a freezer with ice cream in,about 4 different flavors and next to each one was a bowl of water and a spoon which you had to use to scoop your ice cream and put the spoon back into the water for the next person, the water was the same water all day washing the same spoon it was dirty to say the least, again we bought our kids them from outside the hotel instead.
The weather was by far the best thing about the Holiday, it was so hot.
I would Not recommend this Holiday to anyone, especially families with children as it was just so dangerous around the pool area and you couldn't get anywhere with a pram, i was lucky i had family to help me up and down the many many steps.

Also for an all inclusive hotel, the all inclusive didn't start till 11am which is nearly lunch time and it finished at 11pm. Not what i would call All inclusive.

As an independent traveller we booked our flights and accomodation seperate.

Hotel Mimosa has its own website and was described as luxury 4* spa hotel in a quiet area, perfect we thought.

We arrived at 1.30am to be greeted with loud music, but hotel looked ok. We put our bags in the room and went for a short walk just to stretch our legs. 20 meters from the hotel we were greeted by 'Party Street', yes that is a true name and believe me it was party street.

The area consisted of maybe 10 bars and night clubs with its young drunken revelers spilling out onto the street, with numerous people being sick in the street. The music went on until 5/6am. At 9am we were greeted with the hotels musical version, turned up to top notch. We checked out of the hotel that morning to be charged double the agreed rate, after a long conversation with the reservations manager we were basically told the hotel had to make money and it was our problem for checking out of the hotel not his.

The hotel for 4* was basic, it was supposed to be a new hotel but looked more like a modernised version of something from the cold war.

I would not recommend this hotel to anybody other than the 18-30 crowd.

This hotel is possibly the nicest we have stayed in. It is clean, modern and equiped with all the lastest mod cons. The pools were lovely (nice to have seperate area for kids), also good to have a park for them.

The location was great, right by the shops/restaurants/bars but still quiet. About 5 mins walk from the beach.

The food wasn't as nice as eating in a restaurant, but I was still pleasantly surprised. They varied the food every day and there was plenty to choose from.

The rooms were spacious and our maid was superb, cleaned the room every day and fresh towels provided daily.
