Coral bay is a few kilometers from the hussle and bustle of Paphos but still caters for most tastes.
Try Phidias Taverna, literally the first place you see as you turn off to Coral Bay.

20 course Meze for £6-50 and it was superb! Also pop into Fegarri while you are there - their Barbeque on a Saturday is well worth a visit.

Paphos is a short bus journey away and 70 cents. Don't just visit the tourist areas. If you can, go into the old town and visit the market and surounding shopping area. It's well worth it.

It's also worth hiring a car for a few days if only to drive over to Latchi and Polis - Y&P's Fish taverna is probably the best on the island and well worth a visit for a relaxing and first class lunch. You can also visit Agios Giorgios, a few miles along from Coral Bay, and have a look at the Akamas peninsula.

I will certainly be back!!

Coral Bay is a lovely place, the beach is just right, plenty of sun beds and parasols, with water activities and a restaurant and plenty of parking spaces and the parking is free. The town is alive at night with all sorts to please people. An excellent resort centre

Our hotel was about 5 mins walk from Coral Bay restaurants and shops. There are loads of cheapy shops and loads of restaurants which makes it hard to choose.

We ate out at the Seagull in Paphos harbour on the water side of the road. It was really lovely and very Greek. Just what you expect to see.

Next to the Seagull was a nice little place that did amazing swordfish. Well worth it.

In Coral Bay we ate at El Faro. The manager was really friendly and helpful. The T bone steak was great and the swordfish was massive and very tasty.

Watch out for the time share idiots. They will try anything to get you to their office. We had to get rude to get away once.

Have a great time we did in all and would definitley go back at some point.

The area was quite clean with lots of tavernas and bars. Also an assortment of shops.

Location was good, 15 minutes walk to a nice sandy beach, with good access into the sea, but down a steepish incline from the main raod. Taxis are plentiful.

I think the hill up to the resort was very big, but if you do this once a day its OK. The resort was clean and locals helpful. Allthough it was expensive to eat out in coral bay. We caught the local bus for 70p to paphos..only took 10 minutes!!

The beach was fab..a little over crowded but fab. The entertainmnet in the hotel by the reps better then in the resort.

Although Coral Bay very small it does have a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Paphos is within easy reach by regular bus or taxi.

The beach in Coral Bay is appalling, small, crowded and not very clean. We got the bus to Corralia beach which was much nicer (get on the bus from Paphos and stay on til the end as the last stop is Corralia Beach).

Paphos quite nice especially round the harbour area with numerous shops, bars and restaurants.

Coral Bay resort consists of 1 main street with a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is not that big and cannot accomodate everyone in peak season. However it is clean and has all the ammenities that one would expect. It is however a good 15-20 minutes walk from the Ascos.

We stayed in the hotel most of the time but the sandy beach at Coral Bay seemed ideal for children as it selved very gently.

Went in Feb 2005 as we got a cheap deal on the internet.

The weather was warm during the day but really cold on a night. I would say about half the restaurants/bars were closed but there were enough to keep us occupied for a week--to be honest it was probably better for us as we have 2 kids under 5 years old so there was plenty of room for them to run around without upsetting too many people.

A lot of the bars that were closed were being refurbished so this did make the resort look a little untidy due to all the building work taking place. The meals average CYP 40 for 2 adults and 2 kids with a starter and main and a couple of drinks each--so wasnt too bad really.

Any visitor to Coral Bay must go to Phideas's Tavern(at the top of the hill from Aqua Sol where it meets the main road into Coral Bay)--this guy is a legend. Basically it is a local taverna that serves meze--no menu--just meze. CYP 6.5 for an array of traditional dishes--too many to mention. If you have an healthy appetite Phideas will just keep bringing the dishes--you need to tell him to stop. The meal was finished off with a couple of brandies and liquers on the house.

Kikkos cocktail bar is ideal for families as there is a small playground outside(slide/swings etc) to keep the kids occupied whilst mum soaks up the sun and dad watches the football on sky in the bar!! Coral Sunset cocktail bar has the biggest TV screen you have ever seen and shows all the main sporting events--cocktails CYP 2.8--very strong too.

Taxi into Paphos CYP 8(takes 15 mins) or catch a bus for 75 cents(approx 35 mins). The bars on the beach were closed and the beach itself could have done with a good tidy up but I'm sure this was down to the time of year we went.

All in all a great resort, just suffered slightly due to the time of year we went but I'm sure this will be fantastic place to visit in the summer.
