We visited Thalassaki Village this year (June 05) and can't fault anything about it.

The hotel staff are excellent, especially the bar staff.

We never ate in the hotel but it always looked very good, clean and well laid out in the restaurant area.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and they are huge. The air-con remote is a definite must. The towels were changed regularly, the beds made and basically the whole hotel/rooms etc were very clean.

It's ideally situated just on the outskirts of town but not too far away from things that it's too quiet.

The entertainment staff are the best people we've met in a long, long time. Leon and Meeshia were brilliant with the kids (and the big ones, too!), they made sure everyone they could get involved in the activities did so without being pushy. The activity pool is brilliant. We regularly took part in the water volleyball and water polo and it certainly made our holiday.

I'd give 10/10 to the Thalassaki. If I could I'd take the hotel and staff with me on every holiday I went on, wherever I went!

The only thing I didn't like about the hotel or would recommend the tour operators changed is that they accept groups. I have to say that on our second week (the last week in June) the hotel did have quite a few groups of noisy obnoxious residents...say no more!

When we arrived at the Thalsaki we were really pleased with the room and excellent sea and pool views. It was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, the situation is lovely too, it is lovely and quiet, but a short walk into Ayia Napa, you have all the bars and restaurants.

I would say that my stay at the Thalsaki was brilliant, and I am definitely going back again, the only thing that I would say is that allowing loads of drunken groups to stay there will tarnish the great reputation and the condition of this lovely complex, that is wonderful for couples and families with small children. Please Airtours don't let this wonderful place go downhill by turning it into an 18-30's budget holiday complex!

The hotel is a modern complex, with good facilities all areas are kept spotless including the rooms which were cleaned everyday.

It is in a good location, far enough away from the bars and clubs to not get disturbed only 10 mins walk away.
Located near a beach but there are better ones 10-20 mins away.

We would say the hotel is aimed towards families and couples.

We found the hotel staff very plesant.

The entertainment was good. Pool side activities (Water volleyball & Waterpolo) are organised everyday as well as pool, darts and football. They try to get everybody involved but are not too pushy, we found this a good way to meet the staff and other guests, making new friends.

The nightime entertainment was quite good, but we did seem to get picked on being a group of lads! We didn't mind though.

Overall an excellent self catering accomodation, which we would definitely visit again.

Although we stopped at this hotel/complex self catering we took up the offer of dinners for a week which I must say were excellent.

The cleanliness of the complex was excellent and they even folded all the loungers away at the end of the day.

The maid had a little moan because we got a little bit of soil upon the patio but apart from that she was ok.

As we were a family and it was our honeymoon the location was brilliant for us out of the way of the party goers, although I must say on our first night the couple next door who won a competition off the radio woke us up in the early hours shouting, swearing and fighting, then the night after we heard them arrive home too.

The entertainment we thought was useless, it was the same thing night after night and no one seemed to stay around the hotel. In the day it was also the same thing around the pool killer pool, water polo, and kid

The family and myself have stayed at this hotel in 2003 and 2004! I can honestly say they are two of the best holidays we have had!

The rooms, the pool, the staff etc!etc! All superb! We went with friends and met some great friends too the Thomas's from Stalybridge also the Gills from Sheffield!

We have all booked to return there next August! but after reading this summers reviews Im amazed how downhill the complex has gone! it seems the tour operators without mentioning there names(not to cause more embarrasment) have welcomed large groups of animals,I mean lads that cause mayhem and have little respect for the families around them!

I cannot understand why the tour companies who use the Thalassaki have resorted to this? Maybe its a mistake? or they want to turn the Thalassaki into a lunatic asylum?
please dont ruin this delightful complex!!

Its a peace of heaven in a mad but loveable Ayia Napa!!

I have just travelled back from this hotel after a 1 week holiday booked via MyTravel. After travelling to Ayia Napa a couple of years ago and remembering seeing this hotel, we were very happy to receive this hotel at Larnaca airport as we were allocated on arrival.

The complex was large, tidy, colourful and very lush with plants and trees. The pool was split across two levels which were clean and ideal for kids. There were ample sunbeds if you choose to stay in the hotel through the day.

The rooms were very spacious, clean with fantastic air conditioning. I would recommend this hotel as it is in an ideal location for the centre of Ayia Napa and the beach without it being noisy and roudy at nightimes.

However, there were some dislikes :-

- If you are on a downstairs terrace, do leave clothes out to dry, as they disappear ?

- The entertainment staff treat 20+ year olds like 3 yr old kids and it was embarrasing to watch. No adult entertainment and if you stay in the complex long enough it will certainly drive you mad. Very Butlins type entertainment.

- The staff were friendly until checking out and we had to have a massive argument with the receptionist to get out

There isn't a bad word i can say about the Thalasakki Village hotel, the cleanliness of the place and the pool was exceptional, all things ranging from drinks to entertainment were exceptional, the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the items in the on site shop were quite cheap. If i were to recommend somewhere to stay in Ayia Napa to someone my reply would be the Thalasakki its just awsome!!!!!!!

We were really impressed with the Thalassaki due to it's location and accommodation. It has lots of bars and restaurants close by and is only approximately 10 minutes from the centre of Ayia Napa. The accommodation itself was very clean and reasonably well furnished. The remote control air-conditioning was a godsend after a day out. It cost only 10.00 (Cypriot)pounds to hire the remote control for a week which was refunded on leaving. The drinks in the hotel bar were expensive so it was cheaper to visit some of the bars close by. The entertainment was mainly aimed at the children/teenagers which they really enjoyed. The supermarket on-site was quite cheap and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Have booked again for this August!!

This apartment was only cleaned about 5 times in 14 nights. My daughter cut her foot in the pool because of a loose tile. We had to change rooms because everything we put out to dry got nicked . I found my towels in the bin. When we were sunbathing we got wet because of the zoo animals in the pool. The entertainment was really bad but the drinks were fine. The pool was not as clean as it should have been.

I would not recamend this place to anyone .

love caggz
