Last minute holiday needed a bit of sun, well we got that and a really good holiday the staff especially the grill bar made you feel special they treated you like a king & queen nothing was too much trouble.

The food was good the entertainment was geared up more for Italians & Russians, but on the whole really good holiday and will definitely go back.

Please remember you need a coat for night its not cold it's freezing it was in January any way.

We went in December and the weather was great, really warm during the day although a couple of afternoons it was a bit hazy but not enough to worry about. Hotel not very busy apparently its the best week to go 10th-17th as its busy before and busy afterwards

The rooms themselves were fantastic we paid an extra

Excellent Hotel in every way could`nt fault a thing, maybe entertainment could of been a little more English orientated instead of geared towards the Italians but it did`nt spoil a thing.

Very relaxing the staff could`nt do enough for you.

Food there was always a good variety considering the amount of people and nationalities there was to cater for.We did however come across some english people tipping the chef in the snack bar then asked him to fry some onions and put cheese on their burgers as if there wasnt enough to choose from BUT there`s always one.

We have booked to go back next year which is`nt something that we`ve done before as it was that goood.

Food repetitive after two weeks, but nevertheless, beautifully presented, tasty and enough variety for even the fussiest eater. Breakfast buffet fantastic.

All inclusive does not include bottled water for in your room - it has to be paid for, although I was given as much fresh milk for the baby as I wanted (despite the fact she was an non-paying infant).

The cleanliness of the rooms, hotel reception, pools, bars cannot be disputed - simply immaculate.

99.9% of the staff were fantastic. A five pound note goes an awfully long way. The waiters were fab with my kids (6, 5 and 18months)

The entertainment is very much geared towards the Italians, of which there are many. I have learned that they are a very rude and loud nation of people.

The piazza bar does kids dancing and adult group dancing later on in the evening, which is great fun. Dayime activities for the children aren't great, but the pools and 'free drinks' keep them amused.

I would visit the hotel again, because of the staff.

Brilliant hotel and offered everything needed.

The staff were amazing and always ready to help and very friendly. The hotels location is perfect and everything is in the resort - no need to leave!

There was all sorts of food on offer at every restraunt and it was to a very high standard. The entertainment was great with the animation team at the piazza bar and the relaxing music and comfortable chairs at the Babylon bar.

Hopefully be visiting again next year - it was an amazing holiday that I'll never forget.

This is the second visit to this hotel and we will be going again, all the staff are brilliant just treat them like you would like to be treated yourself.

I saw people getting angry with the staff because they we not getting first attention but they try to get to everyone ASAP but there

Just got back from this fabulous hotel with amazing pools and great beach, The hotel is gorgeous with no complaint really only the food a bit repetative towards the end and was sick of it... The other thing is the hotel is all for the italians, and definately need to be more english as kids club and entertainment is all for them!!!!! But apparently they pay a hell of a lot more and the travel company puts all this on for them... but it was still great and my 11 year old loved it, weather was really hot and if your a couple going there is a good club on site as well, the rooms are not 5*** but are clean and have sky tv in them, but for the amount of time you spend in them its good. This is definately not a hotel for people who dont like walking or have difficulties as it is so big and you have to walk every where, best resurant is one overlooking the sea

Would definately go again, and staff are helpful as well. Hopefully by next year it will be aimed a bit more at the english i.e entertainment ect

The Reef Oasis is a huge resort (600+ rooms). When we arrived no-one would tell us what was where. We were given a bad xerox copy with an unclear ground plan. Therefore we only discovered the 7th pool on the 5th day of our stay!

It's an older resort that is very well located at Ras Um Cid, the very best snorkeling/dive spot in the Sharm area (IMO), with a magnificent house reef. Unfortunately well known by divers from other hotels (we have seen up to 12 boats with divers at the same time on the reef). The resort has a lovely garden with lots of pools and a nice, though very crowded, beach.

On our arrival we were given a very small, dark and old room - with a really worn out bathroom - at the far end of the resort, right on the street with building activity almost next door. With a little power of persuasion from my side we were lucky to get a better room (thank you, Ahmed!) that was not only much larger and brighter but had a renovated bathroom and was well located, in the garden, close to the Coral pool - room no. 446.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The system of pool towels is not very practical. Towels for the pool are supposed to be in the room (of course, they weren't in our room but I got them on first request). When I asked our room boy how we could change the towels he told me I should come and change them either at 8 in the morning or at 5 in the afternoon. He did not want to leave clean towels in the room and pick up the used ones the next morning.

As to gastronomy, we were really disappointed. The choice of food was very limited and it was the same every day. The food was never really warm. Most of the time we had dinner at the Italian restaurant but here also there was very little variety. I've had enough caprese salad for the rest of this year! Breakfast was the best meal of the day with a huge buffet.

The pools are nice but unfortunately you have to get up very early to reserve a sunbed, especially at the Colombo and the Coral pools. The beach was far too noisy and too packed for our taste.

Water in bottles was not available for free. We bought a bottle once and filled it up at the bars whenever it was empty.

NOTE - MARCH 2006: There are major construction works going on at the resort. In fact they are building 400 extra rooms. The works take place on a lot between the road and the main area (reception). People in rooms 800-900 may suffer nuisance as the builders work from 8 am till (sometimes) 9 pm.
