Well what can I say, we stayed here as a family in Janu 2006 and can not say enough about the quality of the hotel overall. The brilliant experience starts from the moment you walk through the hotel reception with its marble floors and total cleanliness, which spans the whole of the resort.

The food was fantastic, we travelled with two eight year olds and they can be fussy but there was so much choice here from the buffet restaurant to the four resaurants that you could book into (Italian, Seafood, Chinese and Mediterranean).

The bedroom was excellent with a separate room for the children and a balcony overlooking the whole area. The pools are great although we did not manage to get into the ones that were not heated (there were some brave people).

The hotel staff smile from morning through to night and are always going that extra to make your holiday more enjoyable (there was one waiter who kept are drinks following all night long without us having to ask)!

The beach is great and from the jetty you can see so many fish that you really do not need to snorkel (this was good for the children as they were too young to snorkel) although it did not stop us and the coral is amazing. Make sure that you get the coral shoes

Arrived at hotel in late afternoon, we were taken to our room which was a good size but only had 2 beds (we were 3 adults all paying full price)2 towels, 2 glasses, 2 cups etc. We went to reception to complain and were told not to worry and they would sort it out straight away.

We went to the buffet dinner and were not impressed! Very poor choice of food, not 5* standard. So we got a taxi to town and went to The Hard Rock Cafe, food excellent.

When we arrived back to the hotel about 11pm an extra bed had been put in our room, well it was a camp bed that had a dip the size of the grand canyon! Back to reception to be told 'don't worry, 5 minutes and it would be sorted' what a joke! Another bed turned up this time a folding one, we sent this away then another camp bed. By this time we had 5 people in our room looking under the covers of our 2 beds, what they were looking for we never found out! We asked for a room change but were told it was not possible, all we wanted was 3 proper beds! Eventually we got a 'proper' bed at 1.45am, their 5 minutes turned into 2hours 45mins! The night manager Yasser did his best to resolve a problem left to him and even sent us a basket of fruit, also made sure we had no other problems (he is a good guy).

We only ate in the hotel 3 times for lunch, long waits and horrible! Bar staff in the lobby bar were the only saving grace, especially Walid, he worked 12.30am (night shift) always smiling and topping up our drinks. On our last day we got a phone call to say the hotel had only been paid for 2 adults and 1 child (he is 15) although we had paid for 3 adults. I provided them with my receipt stating we had paid for 3 adults but were told we must pay 350 euros or we could not leave the resort! I had to phone my travel agent in the UK to get it sorted, the reception staff were very rude and unhelpful.

Quite a few people we talked to had suffered from dodgy tummy's, we were ok as ate outside.

What can I say? What a fantastic holiday, what a superb hotel. We stayed here for a week just before Christmas and the ONLY negative thing about this hotel was the damn carols being belted out at the pool.

The food was superb and there was lots of variety. Just for the record - in the main buffet restaurant there were at least 6 hot main courses (fish, lamb/beef/chicken as a minimum plus several vegetarian main courses), more salads than you could shake a stick at, over 10 varieties of bread, three types of soup, three choices of pasta, cold meats, over 20 deserts(cakes, jellies, etc), four or five fruits, cheeses, yoghurts, and on and on.

For evening meals there are additional four restaurants that you can book, Chinese, Egyptian, Italian, and fish. Beach bars, snack bars and barbeque restaurant make up the others during the day - how anyone can complain about lack of variety defeats me!!

No upset tummies!

Waiter service was superb and really friendly (it really helps if you treat them with courtesy and everyday politeness). The management was superb and at pains to make sure that any minor issues were quickly dealt with. E.G. If you ate late the food in the buffet might be cold (ish). A quick word with the manager and it's all sorted out and brought to your table piping hot.

Rooms - really, really clean and very attentive and friendly service. Ibrahim - you star!!

Bar staff in the main reception area were also superb - Mahmoud and Abdul - well done guys. Drinks were normally fast to be served and of very good quality.

We did not go for the green band - all this allowed you to do was drink international brands of alcohol and gain access to a VIP Lounge. From what I could see the VIP lounge was mainly empty apart from a very lonely looking two or three people. I don't think there's any reason to be jealous or disgusted. Besides you can upgrade if you want to.

Rooms were of an adaquate size and the main bed was very comfy. Additional beds for kids or the third person in a room were not adaquate - too old and dipping ( they need to sort that one out ). Aircon all worked and the rooms had Kettle, coffee, plenty of hot water, Sat TV(inc two english news chanels and some english language programmes with Arabic Subtitles).

Werner Lau diving centre was very good and well organised. My son and I did a nitrox course here and the arrangements for transfer to the boat etc worked seamlessly. Good instruction, superb diving and most important - SAFETY WAS UPPERMOST!!! No cutting corners unlike some other diving schools in Egypt I've been to.

All in all I find it dificult to really fault this hotel. Some very minor issues that were easily dealt with. Maybe others were just unlucky but we had a great time. Treating the staff with the same politeness that you would wish be treated to will work wonders. They get a lot of ill mannered people here (Russians especially do not seem to have picked up on this aspect) and the Egyptians will do anything to help you if they can - just be nice!!
If you are going here - relax, be sensible with the drinking and the heat ( over 80 degrees in the week before Xmas but could also be chilly if cloudy and at night)take a fleece for the evenings, smile at the staff and you will be looked after in grand style.

Enjoy

LTI Grand Azure - Nabq Bay

Stayed here over Christmas and New Year. Lobby is lovely and well apointed, the whole complex is spotless. The cleaners work tirelessly and the gardens are well tended and stocked. Our rooms (3) were of a good size, and both cleaners were excellent, one of the rooms needed a 3rd bed for the child in our party and this was efficeinently dealt with.

We ate in the Chinese, Oriental and Itialian restaurants and it was all very nice. The staff rotate through all of the restaurants and the only complaint about them from us is that the beach and tropicana restaurant staff could be a little surly. In the main buffet restaurant we decided the food does become repetitive and doesn't cater for childrens tastes, and they do need to find a way to keep food throughout the meal times hot.

The New Years Eve buffet was stunning over 200 food items, although some people couldn't find anything they liked. Our room was near the fountain pool and Shawkey and his colleagues are lovely people. The pool guys are very helpful and friendly too. We did find the Russian guests very rude to the staff and consider themselves to be far more important than anyone else, not sure why they feel thay have to be that way.

Wouldn't go back , far too quiet, nothing within a reasonable walking distance and Naama Bay not our cup tea, but the snorkelling is fantastic.

The departure was an absolute farce,I have never spent so much time in so many queues, so be prepared for that if you leave on a Thursday it is apparently the worst day.

Second time in Sharm, hotel spotless, food was repetative but edible.

The Italian was very good, hotel a little out of the way but the bus into Namma Bay was a godsend, the service from this hotel was the worst I have every encountered.

We arrived, decided to go down for a drink and unwind, I summoned the waiter ordered 2 drinks and tipped him well(

When we arrived at this hotel we were blown away by the reception area, it is absolutely gorgeous - one of the nicest we have ever seen.

The complex is enormous and when we finally reached our room we asked to be moved as our room faced onto a brick room (cluster 2) - we have been used to being taken to the room in a golf cart in other large hotels. Around an hour later we were moved to cluster 6 (in between the ampitheatre and the outside entertainment area outside of the buffet restaurant) - wrong move - our room literally rocked every night in between the two sets of entertainment, we were then moved back down to the first block next to the beach, next to the "brit pool" This room was absolutely fine noise wise but was not 5*, no where near 3*.

The food and attention given to you in the Italian and Chinese restaurants was first class, it was rather lacking in the beffet restaurant where all of the food was stone cold and the staff literally ignored you.

This meant everyday standing at the reservations desk trying to book up for the a la carte restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and spotless and could not be faulted.

There are plenty of pools to cater for different tastes. Be warned there is a two band all inclusive system going on in this hotel - red bands you receive non international drinks and green bands receive some international brand drinks and have a V.I.P. lounge which i was disgusted at.

We spent a lot of money going on this holiday and we were made to feel like second class citizens - I thought this system was unfair.

We went through to Naama Bay and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe one night with friends which was a change of scenery - the taxi ride was an adventure. The day trip to Cairo is fantastic although compare prices. Our company Thomas Cook was charging

We travelled in a group of 35 (yes 35) and the hotel went out of their way to make it the most enjoyable holiday we have had. We were all upgraded to junior suites (they love the English not the Russians)I have never been to a hotel that looks so cared for. The hotel staff are so helpful even if you do have to tip (they only earn about

Having travelled extensively and stayed in many different hotels I can categorically state that this is one of the best we have stayed in. We now enjoy all inclusive so much we doubt if we would try anything else and this was certainly excellent value for money.

The hotel was spotless and the cleaners worked so hard, one inparticular cleaned the buffet hall (upper floor) so well and took to bringing me a flower every time he saw me (sweet), I gave him a

We have just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable stay at probably the cleanest hotel we have been to.

We found the staff to be friendly, albiet a bit on the slow side, if you want good service fron the bars then we found tipping the waiter early insured good service, but it really is just as quick to walk to the bar and get it yourself.

The food was excellent and was closely scrutinised by someone walking around with a thermometer checking its temperature, although it did cool quickly under the air con, when served.

The location we think is worthy of a 5 star because its situated where there is never a cloud to cover the sunshine. The animation team did lack in enthusiasm just a bit, probably because nobody wanted to join in, it was too hot, but there were some entertaining evenings, some quite good.

I would advise taking some

We have never known a Hotel so clean, the staff even polish the path by the Waterfalls pool!

The food in the Main restaurant is pretty good but due to the air conditioning can cool down quite quickly. You must try the Italian A la Carte restaurant- the steak is delicious. We spent most lunch-times at the tropicana restaurant by the beach where they did Pizza's, wraps and kebabs.

We didnt experience any tummy upsets untill the very last day which even then was only mild.

The staff were very friendly and so eager to help, they soon got to recognise you and remembered what you liked to drink which was handy!

The entertainment staff worked hard throughout our stay and most were quite happy to come and have a chat if you didnt feel like joining in- Kosta was very friendly always coming to say hello and to try and improve his English ( which is very good!)

We will visit this hotel in the future as we had a wonderful Honeymoon there.
