We have just come back from our holiday at Matoula and we had a really great time the hotel was very clean the maids came and cleaned the appartment everyday. The food was great we all loved the breakfasts.
The hotel staff were mint especially Spiros the bar man, he was always working at the bar I am sure he never sleeps, but that never stopped him from being funny and giving us free games of pool.
Every night the entertainment was really fun we played bingo, pool championships, quizes and on friday nights there is a greek night which Spiros organizes.
Thank you Spiros for giving us such a great time and we would definately visit the hotel again in the near future.

We arrived early hours of the morning and were gaging for a drink.
Nothing was open not even a vending machine|
Bring a bottle of water if you are ariving early,
the pool was great spiros the bar manager was great.
The place was very clean althouth we had to pay for airconditioning which should be free, lots of mosquetos at night but got away with no bites.
Overall very good and would go back.

We arrived at the matoula and was pleasently suprised with the accomodation - the rooms are spacious clean and nicely decorated it was exactly what we needed.
We were alloaction on arrival - however would def choose to travel and stay here again. The hotel is only about ten years old. The pool is great and the jacuzzi cost a reasonable 1 euro for about 45 mins! The service provided by all staff was wonderful. You need to go and meet Spiros - bar manager and sole grafter! always has a story and is so polite and funny - we loved going into the bar at all times for a chat and a mythos!

We booked a cheap last minute holiday and hoped that the Matoula would live up to it's reviews. It did and more! It is the cleanest most friendly apartment complex we have stayed in. I think much of it is down to Spiros the Bar Manager, he makes people want to spend time in his bar, and that is where people and children all got to know each other.
We had a huge 2 bedroom apartment, with a big balcony, kept spotlessly clean, as was the whole complex. The breakfasts served in the pool bar were the cheapest in the resort, and were gorgeous. I would love to return to these apartments.

We had a fantastic time at Matoula and would definitely return, hopefully in 2005.
The accommodation was really clean and was tidied daily by friendly maids.
The pool area was also clean and well maintained. There were always sunbeds available throughout our stay and the pool never seemed overcrowded. The pool bar was great - lovely food all day! Spiros, the barman, was so nice. He worked really hard and was always smiling. We had such a laugh with him and hope to see him again next year!
All the staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble! There was bingo and a Greek night while we were there, the Greek night was good fun, but Spiros provides entertainment daily with his great sense of humour!

The Matula apartments were extremely clean and the maids came to our rooms every day.
The hotel food was very cheap and extremely delicious. The hotel was 2 minutes from the beach and there was a little shop where you can get coke and cheap water from.
There was also a man that came along the beach in a yellow buggy selling really nice ice-cream and large donuts from 90 cent.
There was a guy called Spiros who worked behind the pool side bar and was a right laugh.
The entertainment was really rubbish as there was nothing to do except play pool, and it wasn't my cup of tea.

We visited the resort July 2004, we throughly enjoyed our stay. The accomadation was very good we had a daily maid service which was excellent. The bar was very good with a very helpful guy called Spiros, and he was quite a character. They could have done with a bit more entertainment as it was very limited, especially as there were so many children staying there. The location was very good close enough to the shops and the beach. We met some nice people, especially a honeymoon couple Rick & Leanne. We would definately recommend this holiday to anyone. Hope fully we will be visiting in the future.

We stayed in the Matoula apartments, the rooms and the complex were of the highest standard, food was excellent, although the entertainment was basic we still enjoyed it.
This was due to the bar manager Spiros, he threw a birthday party for my niece who turned one whilst we were on holiday. My sons and neice and nephew were given free games of pool, he was very friendly to both adults and children.
I would recommend this accommodation to anybody, but especially families.
We are hoping to return sometime in 2006.

visted this resort 3 years running and in my estatmation nothing has come up to this standard for the type of holiday we booked. eveyone so friendly on site spirous a great guy we even left him a bottle of his favourite tipple. we found plenty of good resturants, but value for money we mostly ate at faros the couple who run this snack bar were so friendly and always made us welcome. we are planning to go back june 2005. anyone looking for a relaxing holiday look no further, take my advice and dont delay.

The hotel is situated midway between the beach and the 'High St'with its many restaurants, try the Pumphouse, Archaravi Park, Orpheous and the Adagio very near the hotel. All were great therefore making it a very convienient place to stay.
Most of the residents seemed to be English
Spiros at the bar? Don't ever ask him how he feels!!
It's like ringing NHS Direct!
He's a great guy really and he does a great breakfast.
