I went to the Commadore Hotel just two weeks ago and I found it amazing, it was great for me and my cousin, we are both 15-16 we found that there wer lots to do and places to go. my mum and nan found that it was a relaxing
holiday and the sun is amazing, the beach is'nt huge but it has some watersports which me and my cousin wer included in. The entertainment wasn't outstandin although it was quite good to sit and watch once you had been into the resort. the hotel was very clean and it is pretty close to the resort although the commodore is situated on a hill which may be a problem for people with disabilitys. all in all it was a great holiday an i'd recomend it to everyone who enjoys a bit of activity along with the relaxing sun. hope you enjoy your holiday.

hotel very clean, food adequate but cheap to eat out, location great, staff good, entertainment good if wanted it.
dont be put off by other people comments i am a little fussy about hotels but i would recommend this one.

We went to the Captains Hotel in June 04 and it was excellent nice and clean and nice staff.
There is a pool side snack bar very good food and a reasonable price.
Good hotel recommend it.

I have been visiting Zante for 4 years now and always stayed at the Commodore apart from last year when I stayed in Laganas. I would not stay anywhere but the Commodore hotel when visiting Argassi and have always highly recommended it.
The rooms are excellent although i would say get a low floor(keeps you a lot cooler!!)and the maids are in all the time and are very friendly and approachable. All the staff are fantastic and will do what they can to make you holiday what you want. Emilliano will surely always put a smile on your face and Cody (who runs the bar from 5pm - 2am)is an amazing person who you can talk with for hours.
Pool is nice, quite small but you can use Captains or Admirals too and the sunbathing area at the Commodore is nice.

Apartment was basic but clean. Pool was small but could use the pool at the Captains which is all part of the same complex. Had no problems with getting sunbeds.
Staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast OK.
Would visit again.

we stayed at this hotel in 1999, yes it is at the top of the hill which is not suitable for the infirm,and can be hard work for the able bodied in the heat of summer. the views fron the hotel are unrivalled.
the staff were competant and polite, the cleaning staff excellant.
the chef, george, was the best ever, the buffet style evening meals were fantastic, george would be insulted if guests did not go back to the food counter for second or third helpings!!
try the safari tours which are available from the reps or bucket shops, a good day out in a landrover exploring the unseen zante,some of the tours are operated by brits, and are the best value for entertainment/anactdotes.

I stayed at this hotel last year and would recommend it to families or couples. Very close to the beach where there was ample watersports. Staff were very friendly. Apartment was very clean and had good air conditioning facilities. The swimming pool was quite small but this was helped by the shared use of the Captains pool next door. I went with a large group of 13, and the short trip to the main clubbin area of Laganas was only a short distance by taxi. However there were plenty of bars in Argassi to keep us occupied, however not many clubs, only one which was mainly for young teenagers. Apartments were very well looked after, however didn't have any entertainment. Staff were especially friendly. Would recommend this resort to families, couples and young teenagers but not to those looking for a clubbin holiday.

We stayed B&B, which was average, no hot breakfast just continental which my daughter did not like. We tended to eat at the many bars located nearby or the restaurant by the Captains pool.
The hotel itself is situated at the top of a rather steep hill, so not ideal for the elderly or disabled.
Close to shops and amenities, you won't have any problems having a laugh in the many bars (mostly run by the English.

Hotel was up a very steep hill,which we soon found was easier if you cut through the commodore hotel.kids rep matt was a bit weak,but did his best to entertain the children every nite!entertainment in the hotel was nil,which was disapointing,to say the least,we used to head to argassi early in the evening,then go to the admirals apartments on the way home for the kids,even though the entertainment still started late.will never forget the sight of a wild turtle swimming in the sea among snorkelers on laganas beach it was amazing,we were told she was about 80 years old,disapointed that we were unable to dock at smugglers cove when we went in august.but the sea was very very rough when we docked a little later somebody broke thier leg,overall we had a very enjoyable holiday in zante and we will go back again im sure!
