Just arrived back from the Windmill after a week there to chill out and relax before a busy time of year for the pair of us. That is exactly what we got.

Transfer from airport, spot on.
Reps at airport and on coach, excellent.
Hotel reception staff, excellent and very friendly.
Hotel location, spot on. Quiet enough if you want it to be and as busy and lively as you want too.

1 thing, the beds in the apartment are not the best. Ok once you have had a couple of beers however!

Plenty of great eating places and bars for you though and every one we went into the staff were so friendly and would do anything for you.

All in all, a great place and would definitely not think twice about returning to the same hotel again next year.

Hotel was awfull,we would never return there.

The beach? there is no beach.

Staff were unhelpful except for Elena and Susie. Best thing about the holiday was Perri and Nicole at their restaurant.

Would advise people look to other areas to holiday in!

Arrived at hotel to a very warm welcome, cases were collected by the hotel owner in a van from the transfer coach as there was a small walk from the main road to hotel reception. Once checked in we had to climb three flights of stairs with cases, but staff were very eager to help carry suitcases up to our room. We found all the staff very helpful and friendly.

Room was very clean and bright with excellent sea and pool views from the joint balcony. Towels and bed linen was changed most days. Bathroom even had a bath (which we didn't use) instead of the usually greek hole in the floor. Did find though if you showered too late in the evening the water was only luke warm.

Pool area was very well maintained, gardens very nice and there was never any trouble finding a sunbed, it was well worth the 1.5 euro charge for the cushions if you planned on staying by the pool all day.

We didn't eat much at the poolside bar, but what we had was very good, we went to the greek night on the Friday which was great fun and the food good.

Plenty of good eating places to be found within the resort which were only about a 5 minute walk away.

Arrived at the Windmill Apartments to a lovely welcome from Susie the Greek/Canadian receptionist. We were given the keys to our apartment and shown the way. We couldn't have asked for a better apartment, ground floor with our balcony next door to the pool bar and infront of the pool.....bliss.

Our Apartment was clean and as is always in Greece fairly basic. Two ring hob, electric kettle, toaster and utensils for basic catering (Of which i did none). Bathroom a nice size, no shower cubicle or curtain but this is also normal for Greece but no big deal. Aircon was available for 30 euros per week and well worth every cent. Safety deposit boxes were in reception and cost 25 euros for two weeks.

The Pool area was well kept, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, mats for the beds were charge however at 1.50 euro each. The pool was large and clean. There was never a real problem getting sunbeds.

The pool bar was where everything happened, breakfast, drinks, evening meals, entertainment. We ate breakfast there most mornings. Full English breakfast was cheap at 3 euro. Evening meals were also reasonable and not bad. The lady who works the pool bar during the day must be the most miserable person i have ever seen, we were there for two weeks and never got a smile or any interaction with her at all. The guy who worked the bar in the evening was Julian and he was a delight, nothing was too much trouble, he joined in any entertainment and made you enjoy yourself....well done Julian.

Entertainment was fairly basic, but everyone seemed to enjoy it, kareoke was twice a week, games night once a week, reps quiz once a week and a Greek night and barbeque on Friday nights.

The apartments are across the road from the beach and at the top of the main drag where all the life is, so ideally situated and easy on the legs.

I must mention our First Choice rep Liam who was the best rep i have ever come across. He wasn't pushy with the trips, was available everyday, interacted with us, had fun with us, was there when we needed a doctor (hubbies back). Liam is hoping to get to Mexico next year, i hope he gets to go he deserves it.

Reception was bright and airy, both Susie and Natasha were helpful. Exchange rate was excellent. We even got a late check out room free of charge.

All in all a great holiday, I will def visit the Windmill again.
