This was our 10th visit to Candolim and over the years we have noticed many changes. There was a lot more rubbish around this year and also the beach wasn't as clean as before.
The bars and restaurants are still as good as ever and we will continue to go to Candolim.

candolim is a great resort a little scary at first but dont be afraid to get out and explore the goans are the friendliest people we have ever met, nice cheap places to eat, cheap taxis, the local market is a once in a life time experience (experience it once and youll never want to go again)"SEE GOA NOW BEFORE TOURISM SPOILS ITS CHARM FOREVER"

If you love animals then you will love this - the cows are roaming the streets and saying hello while your sat having your evening meal (thankfully I stuck to vegetarian so didn't offend the big eyed beauties) loved it can't wait to go back. I would recommend it to anyone, although not so much a party place, rather a relaxing get away from it all kind of place. You can keep Calangute I'll stick with Candolim. Fantastic, friendly people.

I have only given the resort cleanliness as 2 as noticed a lot more rubbish this year compared to previous visits.
There are many restaurants and bars in Candolim to cater for every palate. It is not as lively as Calangute or Baga but they are a short, and cheap tuk tuk ride away.
The beach is good, the sunbeds are starting to get a bit more tightly packed but nothing like Baga up the road. Great to sit in the shack in the evening and watch the sunset.
I will be back to Candolim next year.

Candolim is a bustling resort and whilst well cared for outside the shops and restaurants the roadside and paths to the beach are lined with rubbish although this appears to be typical of the area it only gets cleaner as you head away from the coast, please dont be put off by this just accept it as part of life in Goa and you will learn to appreciate a totally different culture to ours (after all if you want British you can always go to Benidorm). The beach is great lots of beach sellers but say no and mean it and then you can have a great conversation with most of them. Evening entertainment is mainly restaurant based although ther are a few late bars if you look hard enough(try Ice and Spice near Magnum hotel). Toured south goa this time to see if we might want to stay there but this decided us that Candolim is the place for us.

Candolim looked chaotic first few days, but when you got used to it everything fine. Plenty of different restaurants and bars, never had a bad meal the whole 2 weeks.
Plenty of shops for wife and daughter to keep amused in. Taxi drivers aplenty never want to let you walk anywhere.
Beach was pleasant enough, quite a few sellers about but nowhere near as bad as Baga and if you want a quiet beach get a taxi to Morjim and try Lovely Jubbly shack.

Candolim is one of a number of small towns along the main beach road. They are all easily accessible by the numerous taxi's waiting on every patch of available ground on which to park one. There are also many Tuc Tuc,s (3 wheeler motorised rickshaws)plying for your trade.
Candolim and its adjacent towns of Calangute, Baga and Arpora have an abundance of restaurants and beach shacks providing a wide variety of Indian, English, Chinese Italian, Tibetan, French and other continental cuisine. Many have live entertainment which varies in quality. There are also numerous little road side bars where you can ralax, have a cold beer and watch the world go by.
The beaches in and around Candolim vary from the very busy to the very quiet with somewhere for everybody's taste. Having been to Goa each year for the last seven years, it is becoming much more commercialised but it is still very much worth a visit.
