All restaurants are fine some better than others, but that depends on your own taste, we have met people who don't like Indian food, sorry why go to India!!!

Candolim is good but getting filthy by the year,80 to 90 women for one toilet in a Hotel,Restaurants with one dirty toilet from 8 years back and one towel day and night.Sports bar with one towel in the combined gents and ladies for up to 650 people. No wonder people carry around the jars of mrsa cream for safety. They have made Bundles of money but no Hygiene to speak off.

Unfortunatly the beach at the Sinquerim end of Candolim has suffered major errosion, this would not stop me staying in this area again as transport is so cheap it allows you to visit other beaches.

On arriving at the Resort it was very different to what we had been to. We had never been to a place where there we no pavements but like everything else you got use to it. Horns going all the time but as we were told it was to let you know that the vehicle was coming. Cows walking along the beach and the road, but again did not bother us (very exceptional) as no harm was done.

The resort was clean, beach clean and yes we are visiting Candolim again cheap to eat out if wanted and very friendly.

I love Candolim. It is buzzy and fun. The restaurants are mainly excellent with a cuisine to suit someone. The local Goans are great and nothing is ever too much trouble. Prices are starting to rise but that is the case the World over.

Candolim was a little busier than I was execting, the beaches are nice and relatively clean. Plenty of choice of beach shacks and some water sports are avaiable. The beach traders do become tiresome. Plenty of choice on places to eat, any cuisine and they're usually open all day. Plenty of the usual type of shops and stalls, plenty of jewellery shops too. Loved the cows and dogs wandering around everywhere, especially the cows on the beach, made me smile ever time!!

Candolim was a busy resort and quite commercialised.
Nice beaches and nice places to eat.

We used the arabian shack on the beach and had excellent food and service.

We found a good restaurant called sea shell on the last day. the food was excellent.

Candolim beach OK apart from the wreck of a tanker which has resided off the beach for many years.
Not good for any famuilies with young children, would be difficult to allow kids in sea without problems

Its India, Its 3rd world, it is a mess but look beyond that. Very busy, lots of noise and hussle and bussle loads to see and buy, barter hard, whatever the asking price offer a 3rd then work up to a price.

Sit in the many bars restaurants and watch the world go by, some of the best fun is watching the wacky races on the roads and what can be carried on a moped.

The beach is lovely, but the sea can get rough so young kids need supervising in the big breakers.

The beach shacks are good clean and cheap two can live on £16 a day all food and drink its awesome, jungle book trip is a must!!!!!!!!!!!

The captains cabin shack on baga beach is brilliant best in the area joe the boss is sound and so are the lads although the beach at baga is very busy with sellers but the more you tan the more they leave you alone.

Remember maka naka it means I don't want.. you'll need it its great fun and a beautiful place dont change money at the airport they ripped me off but you live and learn the baggage reclaim in the aiport is mental so get your bags and hang on to them or it will cost you a couple of quid or more by the time you get you transfer coach dont tell the locals that its your first time in goa have a ride in tuk tuk in rush hour its better than alton towers and barter the prices before.

Malaria tablets are reccomended but the over the counter ones can make you ill get the dear ones from your gp they are better. enjoy your holiday and have a look round at the beaches in the north and south they are beautiful.
