This is an excellent hotel, the bar staff are friendly, the pool is excellent the little pool is excellent, usually sunbeds even in July. We heard about the building work at the rear, yes there is but we didn't see anything happen the whole 2 weeks we were there.
The location is very good, five minute walk from the strip, would recommend the Wild & Co. for food, expensive, but excellent. CPO just across the road, which have bingo etc. in the evenings, a five minute walk down the hill to the beach. The old town can be got by the bus just outside the apartments for a few euros, and you can get the puffer train back again. This is our second time here and it was very good both times. The supermarket on site is well stocked with a larger one just around the corner (5 min walk)
Definitely recommend it. The entertainment a little repetitive, but what do you expect. Towels changed everyday and linen I think twice a week. No noise at night which was good.

Good location, although in Praia de Oura rather than Albufeira as brochure had stated!
Towels changed and room cleaned daily apart from sundays. didn't eat in the restaurant here as there were so many other restaurants to try within the immediate vicinity, one being watch and co.
At the bottom end of the stip. Wow I can recommend this restaurant the food was fantastic and so was the decor!!
Hotel staff did seem a little miserable. Entertainment and bar area was poor as was the pool area which was not adequate for the size of the hotel/apartment complex, never enough sunbeds.

This hotel is not 4 star anymore it is in need of refurb and one of the receptionists is a right miserable old trout the other 2 are fine.
The cleanliness was good but loud music 3 times a week reverbates all the way up the hotel as it was open plan and as for the Elvis show 3 hours of miming plus shouting and when he did encore he had to rewind his tapes.
Also building work at back so need to be at front as it starts at 07.30 am - 20.00 every day.
Pool was ok but in July/August I would imagine problems getting sunbeds unless reserved with towels at 08.00.
I would not revisit as it is overrated maybe 3 star but certainly not 4 star resort is fine though

Forte Da Oura, we found the Hotel to be excellent.
Situated 10 mins from the strip and you could not hear any loud music in the evenings, this suited us as we were able to eat on the balcony most evenings.
The hotel staff were nice, rooms were VERY clean and were bigger than normal, Air Conditioning when ever you wanted it. Kitchen area had all that you would need, good sized fridge, toaster was a bit iffy, TV showed limited channels I would of thought they could of provide some English programmes !
Rooms cleaned 6 days a week, two small lifts.
The Restaurant within the Hotel is underated and we were put off by the lack of people eating there initally, until we gave it a go. The servive and standard were top class. Pool area was unsupervised and this was indicated by signs, you never had to rush out early to put your towels on the sun beds as there never seamed to be bed patrol culture in place.

We found the room to be very clean and well furnished. There was maid service 6 times a week. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and they spoke good English. The Hotel was situated just beside some cafes were we went for our breakfast each morning, and only 5 minutes from the 'Strip' which had loads of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment.

Hotel was exceptionally clean and the rooms were large
and well equipped. It was only 5 minutes from the main strip and ten minute downhill walk to the most wonderful beach. We were self catering but did eat in the hotel restaurant and around the pool on a few occasions!! The food was very nice but the area has a wide choice of restaurants.
