My family and I stayed 1 week in the Green Sea apartments which were excellent.
The accommodation was spotless and everything seemed to be new and were a reasonable size(they were also cleaned just about every day) with a patio area which included table chairs 2 sun loungers.
The pools were of good size with also a kiddies pool which were regularly cleaned.
The staff were excellent and the security guards would greet you with OLA!
The location was great with only a 10 min walk to beach. The area on a whole was quiet but you had the choice with playa de ingles only being 10 mins in taxi.
I had a great holiday and I would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation and resort to anyone. As for the killer hill I have seen worse after all it is Gran Canaria!

Thought the GREEN SEA APARTMENTS were good overall,the staff behind the reception desk were friendly and helpful,espically ordering taxis for you.
Outside your apartment there is a open patio area with 2 sun lounges,table and chairs,you then enter through a patio door into the downstairs of the apartment,inside you'll find a pull out sofa bed,a small kitchen area,downstairs toilet and basin,table and chairs and a television set that had Sky sports and Sky news and various other english channels,upstairs consists of 2 single beds,large wardrobe space,and a bathroom with shower,our room was cleaned and linen changed once every 2 days,our maid was friendly and always knocked or shouted HOLA to see if anyone was in.
The pool area consisted of 2 pools and 1 small child pool,although the water is cold and does takes your breath away when you first enter the water they were clean and ok to swim in,there were numerous sun lounges,even late in the day we never had trouble getting one,the pool bar I thought served good snacks,and the supermarket was great and cheap, it stocked the necessary items needed,even sold sun cream that cost me double back here.
Also inside the complex there is a internet room,the cost for 16 minutes was 1 euro,i would recommend getting a safe deposit box,our safe deposit box was inside a big room in which the door can only be opened by the staff on the front desk,added security and a peace of mind.
The only minus was the resturant,the price was ok,8 euros for a buffet meal,and the food was ok it was that there were no names above the food to tell you what there were and there could have been a bit more for selection.
We enjoyed our stay at this complex and found no faults at all,in fact we are thinking of staying there this august

Clean self catering apartment. Low rise complex unlike some concrete blocks in the area.
Main pool area with 2 pools and a kids paddling area, also a furthe full size pool, all unheated so a bit nippy at first.
Apartment well stocked woth the utensils and cutlery required, very clean 9checked matresses before slept on them). Maid service 5 days out of seven.
10 minutes walk along the board walk to playa des Ingles (glad we didnt sty there, talk about busy)
Very good value for money, facilities akin to a 2 or 3 star, you get waht you pay for.
Couldn't fault it, would say give it a go, we were not disappointed in the least.

We spend a wonderful week in Aparthotel Green Sea in Gran Canaria. (dont expect much, 2 stars is 2 stars)

Never again. The worst apartments I have ever stayed in.A group of 19 travelled 10 adults 8 children. Allocated "bungalows" . Think ours was the worst. No curtains, furniture falling apart...I ended up sleeping on a sun lounger from the garden because my "bed" fell apart.
Cockroaches, flying spiders, all sorts of insects.. Pool area nice..Staff friendly..Didn't eat at hotel..Beach in San Augustin very windy..sandstorms trying to get to the water...the children lost a couple of lilo's trying to cross the sand.....but great waves when you finally make it..Apartments were nice in their day but need a major makeover

Apart from the weather being the worst in Gran Canaria for 57 years, the Green Sea apartments only added to the misery of what can be described as the worst holiday ever!

The alarm bells should have started ringing with lastminute.com's promise of guaranteed availability.
Never has it been my misfortune to stay in such a scrutty hell hole as Green Sea. The reason no cockroaches were to be found is due to the fact that the said cockroaches have packed and moved en masse to another location.
A potential death trap with sockets hanging off the walll and a cooker which fused the lights if God forbid you actually wanted to turn it on. A television of such poor quality that I didnt even for one second think about stealing it that didn't even have a porn channel. Can you believe it in this day and age!!!!!
The bed linen was changed once in the whole week and was of such dire quality that Im surprised I didnt come down with scabies. The Maid (for want of a better word - she looked more like Godzilla) just barged in without knocking and nearly caught me... well needless to say I could well have been caught with my trousers down.
The supermarket was dreadful, the staff were surly, although there were some nice pussy cats.
All in all a complete rubbish. Don't contemplate setting foot any where near it. 4 Star or above in future duckie.

First time to Gran Canaria in 21yrs and was surprised at how clean it was. Greensea is across a busy road, 5mins from the beach. A steep hill as to be nagotiated if the "back door" is locked. This is locked at 9pm so god forbid if you're later.
Our room was clean and everything worked. Only seen this site after I went so had no reservations about what I would find.Agree pool was cold but hey it was February. Only tried food once and although it was varied it could have been warmer. Yes rooms were basic and outdated in decor but apart from needing modernisation we ejoyed it.

Very clean.

Don't be put off by what you read - nearly spoiled my holiday reading these reviews before I went - Room basic and a little tatty but clean and functional. No building site - we had a great time over new year and would recommend - we paid
