On booking the hotel the agent who booked my holiday showed me pictures of the hotel and I noticed that pictures had 2 single beds in them so I told the agent that as it is my honeymoon, the single beds is not an option, I want a hotel with a double bed, but he confirmed that that would not be a problem and that double bed will be accommodated. So I booked the holiday just to confirm everything was OK I called the agency 2 weeks later, just to check everything was OK with the room and again reiterated that it is a honeymoon and I require a double bed not 2 single beds, again, I was assured by the agent that it has been sorted and all is OK.
On arrival at the hotel I was given a room with 2 single beds when I questioned this with the hotel and told them they're must be a mistake and if they can arrange a double bed as its my honeymoon, I was told that the hotel only offers 2 twin bed rooms, no rooms have any double beds.
I was that upset at this I called the agency from my holiday only to be told that they cant do anything about it and if I want to make a complaint I can do so when I get back. So I was left with no option but to spend my honeymoon sleeping on twin beds. Disgusted at the customer service of A1 Travel.
I would not trust them or touch them with a barge pole. I will be making a complaint but from reviews I have read, I am not hopeful for an agreeable resolution.
If anyone has had a complaint raised and dealt with please can you let me know the outcome.
