Well let me start with, was dreading arriving at this hotel after reading the reports on this page. We arrived at 7.o.clock in the afternoon, the reception area was clean and bright but i remembered reading that on a report on here so i thought dont get your hopes up yet.

We were dealt with quickly and efficiently, given our cards, and told where to find our rooms, we walked out of the door and bumped into lesley (sorry cant remember your surname) what a woman she is - cannot do enough to help all problems sorted straight away - a very freindly face around the complex always willing to help, and actually came to talk to us every day to see if everything was ok, which i reacon goes a long way, anyway she showed us where to find our room, which was on the 3rd floor of block 2 straight across from the aqua bar and the resturant thats being refurbished - i thought oh no lots of noise, but was wrong there.

The room was clean, and is the 1st ever hotel room ive been in on all inclusive where we had a kettle :) what a good touch that is.
The surrounding area - pools were large and clean - while we were there the wind was blowing al most of the time, so cups etc were blown around, one thing is that there arnt enough bins around for the rubbish therefore the bins get full quick and were not emptied often enough.

Food was good, if you didnt eat enough it was your own fault, food was always hot and well prepared. One thing that needs mentioning here is the dessert table needs to be put in some sort of cooler, it was very very hot while we were in resort and the puddings were often warm.

Entertainment team were friendly and efficient. We cannot comment on the kids clubs cos we didnt have kids with us.

Summing up this hotel it was clean and tidy - i mean come on some of us i feel must have expected to get 5 star when they only payed for 3 and i have been in much much worse 3 star hotels. Food was ok. Staff were friendly enough, some more than others and some giving more than they really needed too. I would go back to this hotel if i was ever to go back to lanzarote.

One small thing is get air conditioning that would have made my holiday perfect. Ha ha i did have to find one thing. :)

We was very much looking forward to going on holiday, however i had seen the web page and was a little bit worried, we arrived at los zoccos and i thought quite nice until we got to the room filthy filthy filthy filthy and not to mention disgusting smell of urine from carpets. maid had not hoovered or cleaned apartment prior to our arrival, i dont mind creapy crawleys but our ground floor apartment block one was loaded with cockroaches. we had a letter from agent that work was in progress on the site, just our luck right next to it,kangos drills the works.

only went out on the first night with my kids as my other half was very upset and depressed at the place. im the sort of bloke that will make the best of a bad situation. we went to legends to eat and did the rounds on the resort boring boring boring ghost town at 10 oclock could see the beach looked okay.

in the morning spoke to the guy in the next apartment he said he was quite happy with room hmmm, i asked for a new room and was given keys i had a butchers same filth i mean carpets curtains hanging of same smell.whent round pool next to building works okay i suppose if you like strong wind lillows blowing every, plastic bear glasses blowing every where, pool filthy I decided that first day no way i spoke to the rep and told them that my two year old son has an alergy against fibres in carpets wich he can not be tested until he is eight a medical condition! i was transferred that day to the most beautifull apartment in puerto del carmen and i can say we had the best holiday we have ever had mind u i had to pay an admin fee and pay for both taxis, My opinion on los zocos is second best and costa teguise.

I arrived to Los Zocos Hotel at 9.30 or 9.45pm. It was quite dark outside and we had problem finding our rooms. We found our rooms after 10 minutes of searching. We were there for 2 weeks and my family had big cases which are heavy and we have to lift it up lots of stairs which was difficult because the staircase were small, but finally we did it.

The food was bit good but I was ill for 3 days with tonsillitis and I didn't eat for about 3 days.

The pools were clean but a few flies and leaves about and the winds blew cups around, but the litter bins always full so the people end up throwing them on the floor.

The room was bit smelly of urine so we opened the window. The bath water was bit of yellowy. We didn't have any cockroaches greeting us so I am shocked to hear about cockroaches in most peoples reports. I was bit upset that the television had no subtitles for my 12 yr old daughter who's profoundly deaf. We asked Lesile and she didn't help at all she just go on, on, on about Lanzarote which bores me and my daughter was very upset because she couldn't watch Nickoldeon or Disney channels. My daughter didn't go the teens club because she was deaf and unable to hear so she spent the whole holiday sunbathing and swimming. It was boring holiday for her and I paid lots of money to go on this holiday but i'ts no good I will never go to Loz Zocos again andIi think it's 2 star not 3 star.

We stayed in the new block and the stairs are very slippery all the children and some of the adults had feel down the stairs and the tiles were falling off.

There was lots of lizard and cockroaches roaming outside the appartments. One night the children woke up and were covered inants because we were above the pool side bar. At 3am in the morning the bar music is still load and kept us awake.

The pools were dirty with green moss growing around the outsides and slippery tiles again. The pool wasn't cleaned out everyday with dirt still at the bottom of the pools. THey were also extremely cold.

The shops inside and outside th e hotel weren't very good. Just up there is a good chip shop and a bar next door which we often visted at 2am in the morning. THe staff were helpful most of the time.

There is a strict rule for drinkers under the age of 18 if your all inclusive paying adults prices without getting the alcoholic drinks. There is security everywhere at the night The electronic shops are very persusding when you walk in pressuing you to buy.

los zocos is a dirty disgusting place that should be closed down and refurbished. New block of apartments clean where you could see but look under the bed and god help you. Blocks 1 and 2 infested with cockroaches.

Food dreadful, ate out for 4 days and nights even though all inclusive

location ok - not much in resort really, bit shabby
hotel staff ok - nobody stood out

evening entertainment ok for the kids - but animal shows (parrots & snakes) then involved photos with kids at 10 euros a time.

returned a home a week early - could not afford to stay any longer having to eat out every day. Pool not cleaned while we were the, neither were the grounds. filthy dirty place.

This is to date the most flithy place that we have ever stayed.
The pool was disgusting. Certainly not up to standard!
algae at the bottom and around the sides. Without all the foreign objects floating!

Beer glasses,bottles,rubbish left on site for the whole 14 days of our visit. This rubbish was also left like this in the children's play area. Smashed glass all over the pool tables located by the pool. Not cleaned away for 4 days!

We stayed in the 2nd block,ground floor. It certainly looked well used! Tatty and not clean. Still had left over items from the previous occupants. Over 20 crockroaches came into our room from the back of the wardrobes.Our children found the crockroaches inside the pockets of their clothes. Our room was fumigated with oursleves still having to stay in the room.The fumes were horrendous and when they offered to move us to a different room in block 1,this was also crawling with cockroaches as soon as we opened the door!!

24 hours later moved.As the crockroaches were still coming in and still alive!!!! after 2 cans of spray!

Block 3(New Block) is much nicer and cleaner. However bags left with dirty linen in for 4 days! On and around the block!

We were given a free meal(for food that had to be thrown away) Don't bother! food was rubbery,tasted off,no chioce for the children. Ended up with tomatoes and cucumber!

Will never go again.

The whole place needs to be throughly cleaned and updated.

when we arrived at 11 o clock at night we had to find our apartment using a map given to us from reception whitch in the dark was difficult. staff were quite helpful rooms were ok. Worst part were the stray cats about .No air condition in rooms but couldn't leave doors open incase CATS CAME IN.The entertainment at night was rubbish .The resort is also very windy.

the all inclusive offered by this hotel was of a high standard given the money paid for the holiday. Great value. Food was of a high standard and with plenty of variety offered choice and a great english breakfast!!

The hotel was very clean. pool and surrounding area cleaned daily. rooms cleaned frequently and bedding and towels changed regularly. the only thing that spoilt the clenliness was visitors to the hotel who leave plastic cups instead of using the bins provided which in turn attracts cockroaches.
The room was spacious and clean.

The location of the hotel is close to the beach and local shops, taxis and bus service.

The staff at the hotel spoke resonable english and very good spanish. Killian in the pool bar was very polite and helped to add to our enjoyment of the wednesday bbq evening in the pool bar.Reception staff were approachable and quick to sort any problems or enquiries guests had.

The entertainment team offered a variety of entertainment which was aimed mainly at children. This was still enjoyable. The neighbouring Boulevard bar which is also available to all inclusive guests was hardly used and could provide an alternative to guests without children. The majority of the entertainment team are Dutch and spoke several languages for a variety of guests. Very proffesional, especially Miguel and Mark who were good entertainers.

Overall a very good clean hotel with helpful and polite staff. Very good value for money.

On arriving at los zocos we were checked in and given our ID cards(all inclusive)very quickly.We found the rooms after a short walk in the dark and they were clean ,tidy and well furnished with very safe balconies for young kids.During our stay the bar staff were excellent,though drinks were better quality after 23.00(when you had to pay for them)Restaurant staff and food was top class plenty of variety every day.Entertainment was brilliant day and night the kids club people work their socks off 24/7.if you don't enjoy your self here you didn't try to.Only bad point, in the night the paths are poorly lit,one night a lady fell into my neice Bobbi and banged her head.
