We booked our holiday last minute and didn't look at the reviews before we booked. After we booked we'd found them. We weren't expecting too much though. But however, when we reached there, we thought the hotel was on a steep hill, going up by taxi. The apartments looked nice from outside.
We went self catering, the hotel was very clean except the food and stick tables at the restaurant, which were cleaned if your asked. We ordered a take-away from the hotel restaurant once, chicken and pizza. The pizza was thin, rock hard and broken. It was tasty though.
The location of the hotel was poor. It was about 1/2 an hour from the nearest beach, the Veronica strip was about 1/2 and hour or more by walking. It was a steep hill to get to the hotel, we caught a taxi on the way up in the evenings when it was most hot to climb up.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They had cleaners on hand, a few men carrying cockroach spray with them. They had cockroach spray in the apartments too for you to use. We did find some cockroaches in the apartments, in the bathroom and on the bedroom walls. It wasn't too disgusting because there weren't many. There were alot of cats though, they didn't harm you but they do follow. With some shoo-ing they did go away.
The entertainment was far too late. It was listed that the shows started at 9.30pm but in actual fact it didn't begin til after 10pm. There was a snake show which was meant to start at 9pm but they brought the snakes out at 11.45pm when we were too tired to sit and watch. They have the Dj's playing music and they do play bingo too.
I wouldn't revisit the hotel again because of its poor location.
Although it was a very nice complex, a huge swimming pool and great views at sunset time just waking up and the hill was too tiring. It is manageable but not good for children.

Complex kept nice and clean, maid service very good. We were half board and the food was very good, lots of choice. Entertainment was brilliant, especially beetles night and Tim Dowdall's Robbie William's tribute. Would definately go back.

After reading reviews of LP2 i wasn't expecting much. But when I arrived I relised that all the reviews I had read were no where near accurate.
Went self catering but used the bar/restuarant most nights. The food was great value for money and the bar staff were great. Especially Juan and Avi (mini-me)
Ok there are a few cats about, but they are harmless and added a friendly atmosphere to the complex. I didn't have any problems with them.
Reception staff were great, very good English, they managed to have a conversation with me when I was drunk.
Entertainment was brilliant. Tim is a great laugh and him and his Spanish amigo make a great pair.

2nd time at these apartments 1st time was ok but this time HOLIDAY FROM HELL!!! The apartment was a dive a fridge that wasn't fit to be used covered in rust inside and out the cooker looked as if it hadn't been cleaned since it was fitted the micro was the same.No entertainment no bbq or kids clubs as stated in the summer 2004 airtours book.My 5 yr old daugher fell through a sun bed and her leg bleed for a week on and of when reported to hotel staff they couldn't care less no first aid oftered or a plaster.Swimming pool the paint was peeling and lying on the surface and never was removed by cleaners.hundreds of cats and cockroaches.Kids so called play area found a piece of wood with no less than 15 nails in it hotel staff didn't even know where the childens play area was.

We went for a week and didn't want to come home, it is a fantastic place to stay so good infact that we rarely left the hotel bar. The hotel was clean and the maids service was also good. What can I say about the hotel staff they were such a laugh especially Juan, Mini Me and Tim. The entertainment that was laid on was also excellent a really good place to stay if your with friends or family I think this place would appeal to all ages. We liked it so much that we are going back out there very soon and who knows we might not come back this time.

Went to Lagubna Park II , had a night flight everything seemed to be ok till we heard the noise and music from the disco below in the bar. after the disco finished not only had we had to put up with the loud music , we had to endurre teenages thinking it was a great laugh smashing bottles down the walk way , being loud and noisy as they were drunk.
Woke up in the morning went to breakfast , food was ok not brilliant .
Went to the pool to find it was shut because of the night before. Glass bottles , pizza boxes , sunbeds and rubbish out the bin had been thrown in there the night before.
Located up two pretty steep hills wouldnt recommend for the less mobile , not to much of a distance from town.
Hotel staff were very friendly although weren't willing to help with the noise.
No entertainment at all except for the 'kids' disco.
Worst of all it was that when we were staying there, got a phone call off my Gran saying that it was on Holidays from Hell the night before !!!
I really wouldnt recommened this hotel unless you travelling 18 - 30 yrs old as this cannot be a relaxing hoilday.
Would definatly not go there again if somebody paid me!!!!
Sorry to put a damper on your holiday if your going there anytime soon !

Me and my mates all enjoyed these apartments, we thought it would be horrible as it was cheap but we were wrong. It is a big complex with a good atmosphere, the pool was clean and so were the rooms. I would recommend this hotel to young people and familys and we would definatley go again!!!!

A last minute deal and what a deal it was,
the location was of putting for me lol as i was knackered,
but then again i lost a few pounds, The apartments were
spotlessly clean maids brill reception staff
very friendly,would go back anytime.

My wife and I have stayed at the Luguna Park 2 Apartment Hotel twice and plan to go there again this year.
Although the Hotel is on a hill all the amenities are easy to get to and it helps you to get fit (we are both over 60). The food is ok, the Hotel staff are very helpful and we found the rooms were kept in a clean and tidy condition, the beds were changed every 2 to 3 days or so. There are plenty of cats around the living area but we don't mind that as we like cats and we certainly did'nt see any other insects or creepy crawlies.
My only complaint would be it can sometimes be a bit noisy with people going to bed very late or leaving the Hotel at sparrow's to go home but you accept that as its a part of the holiday routine in any Hotel.
All in all we enjoyed our holidays at the Luguna Park 2 and would recommend it to anyone.

I have to say the laguna park 2 in playa de las americas was one of the worst places I have ever stayed in, although the apartment was reasonably clean at first glance, my husband while retrieving something from under the bed found dust, and fluff an inch thick,unable to find anyone to deal with it he cleaned it up himself.Cockroches abounded in the apartment, and cats galore roamed the complex day and night. Children as young as three were up on the floor of the bar area till one in the morning. The pool was dirty so much so that you could not see the bottom .I found the place very impersonal if you did not have children with you it was almost as if you did not exist.No entertainment was provided for the adults ,and because of that we were forced to either trek up and down cardiac hill or stay in our apartment.Teenagers as young as thirteen were drinking alcohol and were unsupervised, bloody towels were found one morning by my husband lying on a seat on the way to reception. We love tenerife but will neither be staying at or recommend the laguna park 2 to anyone
