We stayed at Laguna Park 2, do not expect luxury!.
Considering this was a self catering holiday it was a cheek that you had to pay to rent a kettle and a toaster!!
The rooms were very basic. If you were on a ground floor apartment the only way into your apartment was either through the living room or bedroom floor. This meant that in the night as there was no air conditioning the only way to have some air was to leave your door open. We did this only to find a woman at the end of our bed at four in the morning asking to use the cooker???? Not impressed!!!
Only saw the entertainment in the hotel twice, what we did see was O.K.
The apartments were so far up a mountain that we had to have a taxi home each night. This meant that you spent alot more euro's.

my family of 8 went to laguna park 2 august 2000,the apartments we stayed in were really dirty,such as food left all over floor floor all over the bedding,it wasnt even fit for animals to live in.i wouldnt recomend this hotel to anyone it should be shut down.the staff were very rude,we had to be transferd to another hotel;which we had to pay for.we stayed there one night all 8 of us stayed in one room thats how bad it was.

The place was kept spotless with cleaning staff out and about every morning,Our apartment was cleaned everyday except on mondays and thursdays,Only saw 3 cockroaches and none were in our apartment,Cats are a very minor nuisance-a well aimed foot will disperse them! -we saw 4 different ones.The hill can be difficult if you aren`t very mobile or have a pushchair we were ok(with a 7 y.o and 4y.o in tow)the entertainment kicks off late and the bar closes at 3 am,Staff were friendly and helpful!The spar shop on site is expensive though.This was our first trip away from the UK and we have no complaints about the Laguna 2,except the direct holidays rep...but thats a different story.

We were slightly worried about some of the bad reviews that Laguna Park got. But we were happy with the hotel as a whole. The rooms were clean..but a bit old fashioned and in need of a make over. We didnt eat in the Laguna restaurant. Our oven in the apartment didn't appear to work..but we didnt need to use it anyway. The kitchen area was basic. So you might need to take or buy some extra things. The hill was bad, but not as dreadful as made out to be in other reviews. You do get used to it, it's just bad in the middle of the day when it's really hot. I wouldn't recommend Laguna Park 2 to people with walking difficulties. Lots of stairs and hills everywhere!!

We all thought the hotel was brill, the only thing was the food, which was the same nearly night and for the last couple of days we ate out because we didn't want to eat the same food again. The food was nice it was just the fact that it never changed.
The entertainment was really really good. It was suitable for kids and adults. We only saw one show twice, apart form that it was a different show every night.
The staff were also really nice and generous and friendly to customers at the hotel. All staff nice and not rude. We liked the 3 DJ's/entertainers Gil, Anthony and Tim.
The reason we wouldn't visit Laguna 2 again is because of the hills and it was to far away from the shops and beach.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel rooms as they were cleaned 3 or 4 times a week.
The hotel rooms were a good size and had a TV, microwave, cooker and other essentials! Our balcony looked right over the pool and you could also see the sea, beautiful sunsets everynight!
We didn't find a single cockroach in our room although we did find quite a few at other places in the resort. There were a few cats but were never any bother.

Are room was not cleaned untill 5 days into our holiday which we thought was very poor due to the age of our two daughters AGED 3 & 16 MONTHS. We were Half Board which was a descrace as no food severd on the evening meal was not suitable for any child up to the age of 8,all my eldest daugter could eat every evening was chips & an orange. To get to the resturant if you have young children in buggys was a lift which you would need to use , but unfortunatly this lift was out of order for most of our stay. They did have another lift but after just weeling my daughter in her buggy into it dropped six inches so hence i did not use that lift any nore. Hotel staff looked miserable all of our stay apart from somtimes if they were taking money from you. As for Cockroaches we came across at least a dozen including 3 in our room, after the first one we reported to staff that it was crawling all over our 3 year olds bed and was told they could do nothing about it as they had no spray left.

Laguna park 2 has to be the worst hotel i have ever stayed in . The hill!!!! cardiac hill!!the kids were knackered, as if one hill wasnt enough there was two!! The other one was to the pool and resturant, the rooms could of been better very old and basic.
The sunbeds were dirty, the cats are everywere and the cochroches too.I read some of the reviews before I went but didnt really think it was going to be that bad.The pool area wasnt that bad it was the best part of the hotel, the food did not cater for kids at all.
So if your are going to this hotel for your hols think again. In the supermarket at the hotel the staff are ignorant pigs.But if your in teneriffe go to bens bar its great!!
