The hotel provided excellent value for money. May be worth considering paying a little extra for a pool/sea view although we did not do this and the room was fine.

Although we didn't look very hard it appeared that all the pubs that did food served up what we could get in the hotel, something and chips there did appear to be a lack of nice places to eat.

Resort was brilliant although there were a few too many british pubs around for my liking, when i go abroad i like to see local sights and try local foods, not go to the rovers return for a horrible cup of tea and soggy toast.
the beach was nice, although the sand is very gritty and does get quite painful to walk on after a while. however there was a lot of space on the beach so there was always space for you to lie down and sun bathe.
plus if your looking for a rock bar or just a good night out (tequila and 1/2 litre of beer only 2.80 euros) try the zepplin bar the staff are very friendly and will put any song you want on for you!!

The area of Malgrat was a bit like Blackpool abroad nothing much exciting all very run of the mill. Plenty of english food, english music and anything else english perfect if you don't want any culture!
There is a train station were you can travel to see much nicer things we went to Barcelona one day was lovely and so is Blanes.
Would not go back here again was nothing special.

If you are after Quaint, traditional and picturesque then this is not for you, then again if your after loud bars banging music out till the early hours then this is not for you either!!The resort was one long road with bars, sovenir shops and stalls along a promenade straight into Malgrat, after walking it once you had done it, i was a bit bored at first but as the resort had a very eficcient train line running along the coast we hopped on a train to the next resort and the one after and even to Barcelona and Tossa very cheaply and efficiently.eg Barcelona direct was 6 euro each return,
the beach was grit (but at least you never got covered in sand) and did shelve steeply but my kids enjoyed the waves!, there was a flag system and life guards every few meters so you were safe.the usual chaps selling asda price designer glasses and a few orientals offering massages which i did take up on the last day after spending the holiday watching who did the best one.(quite nice really) beach bars were a tad pricey as you could get fresh baked and made baguettes for 2 euros at the spa shops!
So apart from the torrential rain, thunderstorms and chilly mornings and nights, still if it was too hot eh? (i think we had fluke weather and they did a roaring trade in sweatshirts and brollys), we had a good holiday there.

Not the most aesthetic resort I have ever stayed in but some good bars and the shopping is not bad either. The beach is very clean but certain parts can and indeed do resemble a bomb site especially the old town. Visit the old chaple which is worth a visit and the Crown and Anchor do good food so thanks to Trevor and the crew. Other than that there really is not much else to say except watch your belongings as my wife had a large amount of money stolen from her bag and they are profesional theives so beware.

The resort is very clean despite how busy it gets in the evenings. Only saw one piece of dog mess and it was soon cleaned up by a paranoid shopowner as he said it reflected on his establishment.
No hard sell in any of the shops and a wide range of things to do of an evening. The beach is shingle/rough sand and takes a bit of walking on. The beach was clean and the sea a lovely green/blue colour and the amount of small fish close in showed it was obviously fairly clean too.
The beach shelved away sharply and that could be a concern, I was out to 6 feet in depth with a few steps and there was a fairly strong current. One great thing about the resort generally, was the lack of police presence, and the lack of 'dubious characters/beggers/touts' which made you feel relaxed which cannot always be said for other resorts on this stretch of coast. Fully recommened.

Resort was very clean, all the shopkeepers cleaned the promenade in front of the shop daily.
There were many hotels with entertainment if you were to visit them, the entertainment sounded good.
Only visited the beach 3 times it seemed very clean, but had to be careful of shelving beach in sea, it went deep very quickly!
Yes we will visit this resort again!

Not much to do, same thing all the time. Would not go back but must say the Robin Hood does great food because that's where we ate for 12 days.

Resort excellent have been coming here for seven years, very friendly people plenty to do.
