We arrived on the 17th August for 1 week. and we really enjoyed this holiday, the hotel staff and were extremely friendly, the food was excellent, the last time we went to the Costa Brava the food in our hotel was horrible, we only surfaced once for breakfast, this time we set our alarm to make sure we did not miss the excellent spread laid out. The evening meal was also exellent with a lot of choice and there was an ample supply of fresh fruit and ice cream. The rooms were also very clean and spacious, we hired a fridge for 17.50 euros for the week and that was great. The bar staff always knew when you were waiting and served you quickly either at the bar or waiter service. We did not find the location to be a problem the walk to the beach allowed you to look in the shops. We ate out for lunch every day as were half board always finding exellent food available. The entertainment was good. The bar was open until 1am. The coffee served at the bar was also very nice. The served hot snacks in the evening e.g chips toasted sandwiches etc. The facilities were very good, with the indoor pool also open (previous holidays the indoor pool was closed during Auguat). We will definately return and have let other friends and family know of this exellent hotel.

Very clean & comfortable hotel that has recently been refurbished to a good standard. Food was buffet style and have large and varied choice which was generally of a high standard.
Not too much entertainment for kids which was a little disappointing having a family of three.
Entertainment in the evening was reasonably good. Fakir the snake man was particularly good!
Only slight draw back is that the hotel is a good 10 min walk from the beach.
However, all in all we would recommend the hotel which is 4 star standard.
Tossa old town is very scenic and highly recommended as a quiet holiday destination. We will definately go back.

This is a newish Hotel and is located among most of the other Hotels.
It is about 5-10min walk to the beach and there are bars very close by.
It is a compact hotel without feeling overcrowded.
I would say one of the best Hotels in Tossa.
The bedroom and bathroom were of a high standard and every morning the cheff is making bacon and eggs on a grill and in the evening there is a good choice of food from the buffet.
Drinks are not to expensive and the measures are like trebles.
On the last night there was a flemenco show it was very good and the bar staff are very eficient.

The bedrooms are too small,with very limited storage space.Cannot fault the cleaniness of the hotel and most of the general staff are very helpful,but the more senior staff are very arrogant and off hand.
The restaurant has the feel of a glorified school canteen with plenty of food but of mixed quality.The bar was cheap for a hotel bar,but it closed before advertised times without warning or apology(annoying when you return to the hotel for a drink thinking it would be open,should have stayed in the town bars!!).
The pool area was again well kept but very small,dont be fooled by the pictures in the brochures.

We had heard mixed reviews about this hotel prior to our visit, however the 4 star rating (and brochure description) gave us a certain comfort factor in our choice. The Hotel has a real classy feel and on first impression fully justifies its 4 star status.
The rooms are large enough and the view from the balcony is pleasant enough, the type of client that visits this hotel is generally well behaved and respectable giving it a safe and secure feel.
The food however was quite a let down, the restaraunt felt like a brightly lit school dining room and the food itself was generally basic, bland and uninteresting and this was the major disappointment.
In addition the location of the hotel and entertainment are a negative point.

We stayed at the hotel in Sep 2003, it was brilliant! As the school holidays were over it was very quiet. The food was excellent and we chose to stay at the hotel for our evening meal rather than go out as the couple of nights we did go out we weren't very impressed. The standard of the hotel was brilliant and our room was cleaned thoroughly daily. Although the beach wasn't that close the walk there was through the shops which was really nice. The beach itself was lovely and clean and we both would be very keen to go back.

What can I say food was rubbish, cold and awful. The hotel was dirty, none of the staff spoke English which made it extremley hard.
In the dinner hall we were given a different table every day when we were supposed to be given a table for our stay.
Entertainment was all in Spanish, music and everything.
All in all very bad.

Exellent hotel the food was first class and the hotel very clean.
Staff very helpful.
Entertainment of a very high standard (It was there if you wanted it)
The only draw back is it's a long ten minute walk from the beach.
I would definately visit again.
