We stayed half board here in June 05, the hotel staff were very friendly, food very good with a wide range to choose from, the location was very good.

A short walk to the marina, water park across the road, lots of taxi's which were very cheap! We had a fantastic holiday and would definatly return to this hotel.

Read previous reviews after booking hotel and comments left us apprehensive, so pleasantly surprised to find hotel, staff and facilities much better than we expected.

Food was good..bear in mind that they cater for guests from all over Europe so they try to provide a menu that is acceptable to all..If you want totally British fare..go to Benidorm!.

Cleanliness and maid service can't be faulted.

The evening entertainment was a little amateurish but there are other hotels nearby if you are looking for professional shows. Good value for money.

We stayed at this hotel boxing day 26th Dec till 23rd Jan 05.

I booked the month as we wanted to be there for New Year and my mother celebrated her 60th birthday and my daughter her 15th birthday whilst we were there. I also had an 8 year old boy with me.

I think a month in the winter with children is far too long as the weather is not too brill, but you could sunbathe most days. But do take a winter coat for the night times.

Which brings me on to entertainment with Joe he is brill but as he works alone with a minimum budget, can only do so much Karaoke 1 night, Belly dancer 1 night, and Bingo 1 night. There is a pool table which if you time it right is free (most of our holl) but now and again they make you put 1 dinar in it. 50p

We took our car DVD Player with us and dvd's. Joe also sells dvds and you can connect this to the tv in your room kept the kids well entertained.

The room we had never had any sunshine so we spoke to reception and Habib was more than happy to move us to another room. He is very Helpful ask him any question he will try to help.

Food I ate everything in sight, my mum was more fussy as allergic to tomatoes. The children didnt eat much at all but chips everynight. The food is very basic and repetative.

1 of the drinks waiters in there is quite rude and didnt smile or pour 1 drink for us in the whole month, but Mounir is absolutly fantastic and is now careing for my sons toitoise which we bought out there and couldnt bring back home.

The head chef made a Fantastic Birthday cake for 20 dinars 10.00 and reserved and decorated our favourite table REMEMBER this is you have any celebrations.

We found everyone at this Hotel very friendly, rooms cleaned every day. All comunial areas spotless indoor and outdoor pools spotless.
All in all a brill hotel and for what we paid 1,200 for 4 people for 1 month what more could we ask.

Although somewhat shabby, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The chambermaids were efficient and towels were changed daily. The outside of the hotel is more impressive than the interior.

Food was about average but there was always something to enjoy, although in common with many Tunisian hotels there often seemed a strange choice of vegetables/
rice/potatoes to go with the various meat/fish dishes.

A very pleasant pool area with plenty of tables and sun loungers. Matresses for loungers were only 1 TND a day. Five minutes walk from the Marina where you could pick up a tuk-tuk or the 'Noddy train' and taxis were plentiful. Just across the road from the Waterpark, which was closed, presumably for refurbishment. Metalica Disco next door was also being refurbished. Reasonable supermarket and internet cafe also on site.

Staff were very pleasant and couldn't fault them. Always willing to sort out any problems quickly.

Entertainment was abysmal. 'Animation Team' consisted of Joe, who tried to organise things like bingo or quizzes, together with kareoke, and we had a 'singer' once a week, and a belly dancer another night a week, which was more of a selling opportunity for the resident photographer!! There was little music and certainly nowhere for guests to dance. That said, as one can enjoy the entertainment of any of the other hotels it was more a lost opportunity for the hotel than a problem for guests.

I would certainly go there again because it is very convenient, comfortable and friendly.

the entertainments staff were fantastic but were working with limited resources ie one dart with no feathers for a 'by the pool' darts game. the hotel needs updated as the decor left a lot to be desired. the rooms were v basic and primitive. there was also a problem with ants. however the staff were friendly and helpful.there isnt much for families, no discos or teen entertainment.the food from the poolside bar was lovely but the food from the restaurant wasnt very nice. they should stick to tunisian food and not try to cook british menu, which they couldnt do.

Although we enjoyed our holiday to tunisia we were disappointed in the quality of the hotel. The food was terrible, repetitive, bland and boring, most nights we had to go out for dinner. The maid service was excellent our room was cleaned, towels changed everyday. I would not recommend Tunisia to anyone who wants a lively holiday.

Having just returned from a wonderful holiday in Tunisia and after deciding that we will be going back to the same hotel in 2 years time (next year being a per booked family visit to elsewhere), I was shocked to read some of the reports from the same time period that we were at this wonderful hotel.

In our opinion this was one of the best holidays we have ever had and we have been to most locationd in the Med. The staff were brilliant - particularly the maids who arrived daily to clean the room.

There was plenty to do for teenagers with it's own discotec built onto the Hotel! (Metalica), it's own pub with home brew - lovely with 3 types of beer to choose from and it's own beach with transport curtesy of the horse drawen carriage.

Waiter service each morning & evening. the same staff all day - they work hard for their Dinar!

Did not want to go back to sunny Scotland at the end of a really brilliant holiday at one of the best hotels in the area.

We found the golf residence wonderful.
Although the hotel wasn't the most mordern hotel we had ever been to, we found it was clean and comfortable.
The meals were fine - every night we felt there was plenty of choice and none of ever left feeling hungry.

The location of the golf residence was perfect. A five minute walk from the marina, directly accross the road from the water park, a night club a two minute (not even) walk away, shops very close by and pulic transport available practically right outside the hotel.

The staff were absolutly superb. They couldn't do enough to help and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everyone was so friendly and make us feel very welcome.
The entertainment staff were excellent! every night they put on a different show, and it was always very amusing and included audience participation!

My family and I had a great time here, and had already decided we'd go back again next year before we had even left!

the hotel was a bit basic but kept fairly clean by the hotel staff.
the porters and waiters were helpful and very friendly ,if any one is going to this hotel the girls do a very good massage and indoor pool and jacuzzi were fantastic.the entertainment at night in the hotel is a non starter the shows where embarrassing to watch.
the food was just about edible with hardly any choice if you didn't like eggs, the fruit however was great and always fresh that day.

Ii stayed in the Golf Residence hotel. Never again.
