We traveled quite a bit of Tunisia by train and coach..Lots of sand and camels and olive trees...Very poor country.
loads of kids playing football in barefeet.Shanty towns everywhere...Because they have no oil like Lybia or Algeria is the reason.?

The resort has everything you need for a relaxing time if you wish but there is also a wide selection of bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. There is even a small fair in the resort and it is quite safe as all the operators are licensed to operate the rides. Plenty of transport to get around Tuk-Tuks to Sousse cost 3 dinar for 2 about £1.20 for the trip one way. Taxis are plentiful and the Noddy-train runs a regular service.

The beach is pure white sand and its cleaned regularly sunbeds 2 dinar a day or 80p cheap as chips. Just watch out for beach traders they can be persistent but a firm no suffices.

Pavements were pretty dodgy, broken slabs, loose wires sticking out. The road was really busy, there is crossings to enable you to get over, not sure if the cars etc were supposed to stop to let your cross or not but 96% didnt stop so had to make a dash for it.

Beach was nice, bothered by sellers etc, gathered round trying to sell their goods, didnt go often as felt unsafe probably from being two females on our own.

Only ventured out once after dark, only to the supermarket next door, felt unsafe and decided not to go out after dark again.

the hotel kanta is in a great place, shops very close, beach only a tuc-tuc drive away. down at the harbour was chaos, people askin you into there shops lot of hassle ( i didnt like it ) but the tourist board have there own shop and nobody bothers you there plus it has a/c. the beach was nice and clean well in the hotel kanta bit anyway outside that it was dirty. hotel kanta also have a water sports bit at the beach. jetsking, paraglidin, bannana boat and a big tyre ring and snorkling, we would go back again to the same place, we enjoyed ourselfsvery much...

The resort around the hotel is a bit barren. There is a golf course but we didnt use it. We went to Port el Kantoui several times. We eat there and it was ok. We shopped in the little port shops but we did have to barter for a good price but we did have fun and did get some good bargains. Locals try to encourage you into there shops but we never felt frightened or presured. The hotel is on the beach. The lovely little man brings you your sunbeds so you just find an empty spot and wait for him. The sea did seem a bit dirty but the beach was fine, with a few bars to have lnch and drinks. We loved this hotel and the people and tried to book again to go back 6 weeks later but it was full!!

the tuk tuk to and from the private beach was very welcome and on arriving at the beach the attendant quickly put mattresses on the sun beds. the beach bar had excellent food and service. the marina was within walking distance lovely fountain with musical dancing waters and lots of shops.though most of the entertainment was in the hotel there was lots to see at the marina.once you got used to haggling it was quite enjoyable shopping and the tunisians are very friendly. taxis very reasonable and drivers friendly and helpful.definitely recommend this resort.

I would not visit this resort again purely because I have been here 3 times now. If I was asked I would recommend it to others if they have not been here before.

I will look to visit another resort when I next come to Tunisia.

This resort is clean and well maintained. THere are really nice gardens, and the port Area is nice to stroll around.

The fountain area is my favorite place and the fountain has displays at certain times of the day.

There are plenty of places to eat, we had a meal at the restuarant La Fourna and the Mediterrenea is superb.

A visit to the Medina in Sousse is an experience, and if you adventurous then take the local train to Monastir. now that is an adventure. And monastir is well worth a visit.

A very nice & clean resort, lovely to walk around, there are 2 area - the marina & the gardens which have the dancing fountains which light up to music at night. The sellers can be a bit persistentbut a polite la shukran (no thanks)usually works. Nice selection of restaurants.
