The resort was very quiet but you have to remember we went out of season. The port was beautiful though lots of luxury boats to look at, lots of bars and cafes to sit and watch the world go by, they did close though around 9pm each evening but I really think this is because it was early in the season.

Quite a pleasant walk to the marina. Some of the shop keepers at the marina were quite intimidating when we refused to look at the goods in their shops and took the mickey when we refused. Some were downright rude.

Port El Kantaoui(PEK) is a modern purpose built resort that is nicely laid out with a marina that has many nice restaurants and low key bars.
Don't expect much in the way of entertainment in PEK as this is mostly hotel based with only a few attractions including a small amusement park and zoo.
There is a small(ish) selection of shops, some of which you will have to haggle and some that are fixed price.
If you are looking for a lively or Spanish style resort PEK is not the place for you, on the other hand if you want a safe relaxing holiday with a nice beach, low key entertainment and quiet relaxed bars PEK could be just what you are looking for.

Because it was January we tended to keep to the hotel in the evening so I can't really comment on the resort entertainment, the beach had a lot of debris from the sea on it, again because of the time of the year, but I would visit this resort again.

The resort has something for all ages, The zoo,fair, bars and restuarants etc. The Tusians do hang about their shops and stalls to try and tempt you in, just say no thanks and they leave you alone all very friendly when you chat to them.

spotless,a word of warning tho for those unsteady on their feet , the pavements are uneven and not very wheelchair friendly with ramps . As for entertainment in resort there is not a lot to do of an evening the water fountains in the square are lovely , there is a little zoo with lots of birds, camel , goats , rabbits and guinea pigs , funfair , but that was closed while we were there , not sure if thats owing to the time of year. the beach was a bit dirty in parts but not the area's roped off belonging to the hotels

we like the marina with its cafe bars but feel that it is sad that the hotel entertainment is keeping people in. We noticed that it was much quieter this year than in previous years, even though we went at the same time of year. The hotel;s were busy but the resort was very quiet

resort was very clean and everyone was very friendly there was lots of entertainment and taxis were very cheap. beach was nice and clean aswell
