port el kantoui is very pretty and very clean love the plant pots going down the middle of the road also found the locals very friendly not to busy to stop and have a chat.had some good nights inthe pucca irish pub across the road from the hotel!

We were in the hotel grounds for most of the time the the resort was relatively quiet and a good choice for families!

We stayed at the Marhaba Palace which was a short walk to the Port/Marina. The area was clean and could be very nice,but was spoilt by the shop owners, you felt like you were running the gauntlet everytime you wanted to go out for a walk. I don't like all the 'look no hassle', and ' all Asda price' ' cheap as chips', i want to be able to browse at my own leisure and purchase if I want to, in the end we stayed away from the area, they need to learn that not everyone wants to be hassled and barter for faux goods. Go to the government shops, things are price marked and there is no hassle there is one just by the towers.

LOvely Marina to walk around,wasnt hassled as much as in previous years,leather goods were so cheap.Over the road is the musical fountains with more shops and restaurants,these were switched on for half an hour in the evening,they are all coloured and move to the music.Puka Irish Pub opened this year on the road in front of the Kanta Hotel,kareoke,and football,gets quite busy now,and when you order your drinks they bring you nuts crisps,and popcorn,all very salty!!.Not much else going on in the evening,you have to go to other hotels for entertainment.Taxi costs about 7 dinars into Sousse.You can book camel trips on the beach,or buggys and quad bikes close to the marina.A couple of supermarkets,cheapest just to the rightside of the entrance of the marina,also sells alchohol.theres a noddy train that does return trips to Sousse,or you can ride in a horse and cart,very smelly,and tatty,horses were in very poor state.Changing Ladies a drag act are on in a couple of Hotels,well worth seeing,very professional.

royal kenz isnt actually in the main resort area. we were told by the rep it is a 15 min walk up the beach but it is more like 25mins. it is quicker to get there by road. and on the way stop at the big hawaii shopping centre for some gift ideas (they are more expensive than the hotel shop though)
the actual reosrt of port el kantoui is small. it is pleasent enough to spend the afternoon walking round the marina, eating lunch and avoiding the boat touts but you cant spend a long length of time here as there is nothing but the shops and baots to entertain

This was my 13th visit to Port El Kantaoui and once again I had a great holiday.
Nice quiet, clean, tidy and friendly resort with lovely beaches.
Love the place if you are thinking of booking you should just go for it!

The resort was excellent as usual, and very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the resort doesn't have entertainment, but the shops etc and Marina kept us busy most nights. The beach standard was very good and the baby enjoyed playing in the sand. Unfortunately, the smokers use it as a giant ash tray, which I must admit is one of my usual gripes, especially when young children are playing in the sand! We will be visiting the resort again, but definately NOT the hotel.
