hi carrie, we were at the meridien last year and all our family had tatoos, they were fantastic! he even drew one on my friends leg freehand and it looked amazing. they didnt cover theirs up and carried on swimming etc, they were fine, no scabbing or bleeding. they even have a doctor on site to give you an injection to numb the area (which i will have if i have one done!) the meridien is by the hotel continental behind the tiara beach, if you was walking from the beach. i cant find the majestic on the virtual map to see if its in walking distance. if you can find it on the map let me know. :D

The Majestic is numbered '200' on THIS MAP & The Meridian is numbered '44' - they are virtually at opposite ends of the resort.

Thanks for the info looks like a taxi might be in order if the weather it too hot when we are there. I know the boys definately want one done and I will probably as well. A painkilling injection what a good idea does it cost more? Myself and my eldest boy have had them done without a painkiller but it would be more comfortable.

Drawing freehand, he must be good as our local tattoist (spelling) "Clunky" traces them from a sheet onto your body first but he is very good and quick.

the injection did cost more but not too sure how much, im taking the cream that you get from boots to numb my back!

I had one done 4 years ago at a tattooist near Hotel Bourgas Beach & it hasnt faded in the slightest & I still get people asking where I had it done & how much. Its alot better than the one I had done here, which was that bad I had the one done in SB to cover it.

We both got tattoos last year in the hotel pirin, poor hotel but the tattooist was top class, hygene not a problem and the tattoos he done for us both are of the highest quality, much cheaper and of better quality that the ones i have had done back home. Also we were swimming the next day and no scabbing, my tatto took roughly an hour and a half and the charge was only £22. Worth a look.

Wow looks like we will defo be having them done. Do they have a large amount to choose from?

There usually is. If you have a look round you will be able to find one you like, or you could do your own design & they will be able to do that. :tup

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I am interested in getting a tattoo while over there in August.

Can anyone recommend a good priced, clean, and above all compentant tattoist in GS?

Hi Mark I had one done last year in the tattoo studio across from the Sirena hotel by a tattooist called Nikolia. Bulgarian friends took me to this Tattooist, he's different class.

this is the tattoo I had done £52.

no scabbing looks even better now a year later this pic was taken days after it was done.

When are you going to GS Mark ?

Flying out on the 3rd August. Hoping for good weather of course. :)
Not been before, but heard that there are some good tatooists there so think I will investigate.

I had one done near the Casino on the south end of SB on Sunday. It was really quick, but then it is only about 1.5 inches square!! Didnt hurt too much. :yikes

There was a board outside & one of the photos was a lady of about 70 having a tattoo on her arm!!!

Hi All just got back this morning, this is the new tattoo I had done by Nikolia of Sin City Tattoos just across from the Dolphin restaraunt in Golden Sands

Myself and my 2 sons had one done and they do take longer than in the UK but he was very precise and stopped to have a chat and a rest etc so even though I was in the chair for 1½ hours it wasn't all for the tatoo we had a laugh as well (well everyone else did apart from me I was in pain  )

DOA:- Nice tattoo! How long did it take? And what sort of cost?

Also was wondering how big the queues are? Do you have to make appointment a day or so before-hand?
