i read on a thread in this forum that a bloke had got a tattoo whilst out in bulgaria
i'm in the market for another tattoo
and was wondering if the bulgarian tattoists are as safe over there as they are over here

There are quite a lot of tattoists in SB. I went in a few and they all seemed nice and clean. Finally got one done at a place beside Belle Vue Hotel pool and am very happy with it. My daughter's boyfriend also had one done at a place on the main promenade walk. It is on the sea side of the strip, about in the middle near The Village, and is right next to a cafe/restaurant called the Fishermans Shack or Hut (can't quite remember). This bloke said he was one of only 4 tattoists who were legally registered in SB and I must admit, if I went back I would definitely go to him - great artwork and you can also get a pint at said restaurant if you have to wait. Hope you find it o.k.

tattoo shops are all-round sunny beach I had one done at a place called shadows on skin charged around 200 leva less than £75 took him about an hour and half excellent job make sure he uses clean needles you should have no problem

just got back from sunny beach and me and my husband had them done.
i have had i large one one the bottom of my back and he has had a large one on his arm and it cost £120 for both. it was very clean and we are most pleased with ours. We booked to have them done the day before we came home so the sun was not on them to much.
We had ours done and the front just past neptune beach hotel and he is very good.

all tattoos hurt i have 8 and they all hurt not so much whilst having them but for a day or 2 after they are very sore
its similar to having a severe carpet burn

Yes it did hurt i have 3 and they all hurt!
It hurt a bit more because i had one covered up so has a lot of colouring in done.
Its a pain you can take because every 10 seconds or so they stop to wipe it and then start again and i find that helps. I had my picture took by the mans wife while he was doing it and i had a smile on my face!
The man that did it was very fast so it only took 15min.

the best tattoo place is under the hotal pirin,both me and hubby got them done there,hubbys took 2 and a half hours and he only took 80 lev and took 40 for mine and they are both excellent.
ooopps almost forgot he gave us cream and told us to buy more from chemist, it was called pantogel and we applied it up to 8 times during sunbathing and we never had much scabbing at all.. so its well worth buying.

I was thinking of letting my daughter have hers done the day before we go home,if she feels brave enough is there nothing you can put on before having a tattoo to ease the pain

I found that when I had mine done (here in the u.k.) it was more of an annoying pain rather than really hurting but I bet I get my second one done while i'm out there cos we go on Thursday.....YIPPEEEEE
