Great beach side restaurant with nice food and free sunbeds (skaltsounis restaurant)

Kavos itself is a bit dirty and not very nice, its very smelly and lots of mosquitoes.
You cant get away from the PR people outside the resturants and bars in the streets who literally drag you into the places.
The strip where everythig is really narrow and the traffic is very dangerous, drivers do not care if they knock you down and its a bit scarey when you see the drunken people falling into buses, they are that close.
However it is really geared to the 18-30s crowd so it is not advisable for those on a family holiday or looking to relax and chill because you cant. It wont let you. Having said all this had a wicked holiday as it was just what I was looking for.

Aspro Kavos was nice and clean the entertainment is in Kavos its self and is great if you are young us being in our forties didnt really fancy the foam club.
The beach was not very clean but we did find out that the beach is cleaned at the beginning of the season in May and then not cleaned again.
We did find a beautiful beach about 30minutes walked away, follow the signs for the monastery till you see the signs for the beach, this beach is spotless the sea is clear only problem there is no where to get a drink so you have to take you're own.

Kavos is a great place if you like to party...on a budget!
It doesn't smell at all..maybe it used to but it doesn't now. As I mentioned earlier got over 40 degrees in August so it can get pretty hot there.
Nightlife is brill! Loadsa the bars have offers on like 2 cocktails for 5 euros. Make sure you go to Rocky's and Rolling Stones. PRs get annoyin but tag along behind a bar crawl and say your with them or let on your meeting friends somewhere else!
Most of the restaurants do 3 courses for 7.50 euros. Some of them are really nice and well worth the money...if you fancy 3 courses!
Beach isn't great covered in seaweed. I recommend hiring a pedalo tho...lots of fun to be had there! Otherwise stay by the pool...which is open until 8 at night! If you wanna get outta the sun go down to forum bar. They show telly programs all day like friends and the simpsons, they also put brand new films on as well! Great place...go!!

Kavos and its beaches are not very well maintained at all. The roads, especially in the centre are just littered with the remains of the night before.
This town appeared to be geared towards 'young, single, British' people wanting to get wrecked and laid. If your dream holiday is a few streets full of small bars sporting neon lights and pushy PR people offering you good deals on their booze then this is the place for you. It is very cheap and tacky and 'punterish'.
The beach is not great. One part had a sewage pipe, another long stretch was just piled with sea-weed and the rest appeared to be clogged up with litter, broken bottles and sun loungers that have definitely seen better days.
Kavos appears to of had its day, with almost more building laying empty; derelict; unfinished or just gone out of business, its not a very pleasant place. There is certainly not much 'Greek' about this place either, except the dangerous roads and driving. It feels more like a seedy little Blackpool ally, with the British probably out numbering Greek and other nationalities 10 - 1.
I would most certainly NOT visit this resort again.

Lots of good kicking bars and clubs, ideal for girls/lads group holidays. For this reason I wouldn't recommend to familes and older couples. Lots of the bars are the same so alot depends on the price of drinks. Kavos is going through a quiet period at the moment so to get your business there are lots of good deals on food and drink to be had. I would recommend the Barn Complex although the Cds I purchased from the Dj there were faulty, didn't try them until I got home, doh!!! I really liked Roadblock but like most bars, it only worked when it was busy.
Beach isn't brillant but plenty of sunbeds (2 euros) and good water sports. There are lots of agents offering excursions, I recommend the boat trip to the blue lagoon and a day out to Aqualand, both worth every penny.

mary and alex the owners were both great and martha the cleaning lady was good too. we went into kavos every night for dinner the best resturants were tex mex, white dolphins and eves garden the beat bar by miles is fresh alex and ollie are very cool as they say 100 percent you know it.

If you want an 18-30's style holiday resort you'll love it. If you want a family holiday I really wouldn't recommend it.

Kavos is a brilliant clubbing holiday. Bars esp Rockys are good, and PRs are nice. The beach is poor but the apartment pools are nice so this makes up for it. Best place to eat is pennys kitchen, its cheap the foods great and there is lots of it! If you are wanting a clubbing holiday this is the place to go. Theres not much else except bars and clubs tho!

There is one road in & one road out to Kavos with bars & clubs either side if a single lane road which means it's very dangerous especially in the evening when everyones had a drink.
And becuase we were picked up at 01.30am it took us forever to get through the crowds of drunks. Resort is about 60-90 mins for airport.
Plenty of bars & clubs if you like that sort of thing.
Beach was ok but man made so you had to take a step down into the water.
