We would visit this resort again but definitely at another hotel. The trips organised by Panorama were excellent The beach had a lot of litter and some broken glass. The marina was good and there were plenty of places to eat there.The other hotels were a better standard, although some were quite a walk away from the marina.

NOT MUCH TO DO, WE HAD DONE IT ALL IN 5 DAYS, EVEN WENT ON A 2 DAY TRIP TO THE SAHARA THAT WAS WORTH IT, BUT 9 HOURS ON A BUS!!!!

Resort is well kept , the marina is beautiful.
Overall entertainment is a bit lacking.
Beach nicely kept buy narrow and lacking in sand in some parts, its probably all been taken to the sandhills that you will see around the place for export.
Would not visit again. Weather was not great at the end of March. Shoping and haggling good fun but you get a bit tired of being hounded around shops.

Plenty of shops and good eating places close by but
Entertainment was at a minimum because of the early
season but sitting around was very pleasant in the sun

Port El Kantanoui is a man-made port and has a shopping/visiting area which later in the summer when flowers and blooming will be very pretty. There didn't seem to be much effort made in keping the place clean. It looked in need of a good tidy up with someone at the helm who knows what they're doing.
Entertainment - I cannot comment on as we didn't take part.
Beach was sandy and safe.Some areas of beach were being looked after with men and horses trying to tidy up the sand. Lots of seaweed. Sea easy to walk in, no stones. Needs a good clean up!
WE will definitely not visit again. Hassle factor in shops similar to other Middle Eastern/Indian resorts

Port el Kantoui is a man made harbour that caters specifically for the tourist, particularily the English Tourist and you can ofter hear the cry "two for one, Asda price ladies". Bartering is great fun and so are the boat trip, we really like the pirate ships with the BBQ on board. If you go at the right time of year you can even see the dolphins but don't expect to see them in October or November.

We like port el kantoui very much and will continue to go back every year. It is very clean and the beach is kept free from seaweed after astorm.

Staying in the Royal Kenz Hotel means you are a twenty minute walk from the resort,quite handy for walking off the hearty breakfasts and dinners provided by the hotel.Granted you are constantly being approached by shopkeepers and others wanting you to buy their goods and services but it is a different culture and is part of the local colour.There are some lovely restaurants serving superb food and drinks as well as shops selling goods as diverse as jewellery and souvenir tee shirts.

Port El Kantaoui has a beautiful marina , lovely beaches , and plenty of bazaars around the marina area . The town is very clean and most of the hotels are of a very high standard. Resort entertainment is mainly based at the hotels , and we were advised not to walk into town on a night but to take a taxi booked via the hotel . One show that is available in Tunisia is "The Changing Ladies " these are female impersonators , with legs to die for!!! This is a must and as they are based in Tunisia they can normally be found at one of the Hotels nearby . All in all Port El Kantaoui is a lovely resort and we will definately be visiting it again soon .
