There seemed to be an awful sewage smell lingering in the air wherever we went. Flies buzzing around a lot too.
The shop owners will try their best to drag you into their shops, I understand that its their income, but they were so intimidating and forceful sometimes, they wouldnt take no for an answer, you literally had to walk quickly in the opposite direction. Making eye contact is your worst move!!

Port el Kantaoui is a beautiful quaint resort with a really nice marina. It has some shops with fixed prices and some you have to barter (don't be intimidated by this as it is all part of the fun). From our hotel to the marina was only 2 dinars by taxi(you don't need to pay any more), the rate would change after 9 pm but we would still manage a taxi back to the hotel for approx 3 dinars. We also visited Aqua Palace, the water park, which was worth a visit and also the amusement park. We went on the Spanish galleon (the smaller of the two), it was a little disappointing and quite rough at times. We were sorry we didn't go on the larger one as it had a bbq, belly dancer etc on board. We also visited the medina in Sousse with a guide from our hotel. This was really worth it as we got to experience the hustle and bustle of the souks. We would definitely visit this resort again.

we were right opposite the water park which cost 15 dinars for adults and 10 for kids.there is a fun fare little zoo.and of course the harbour with its many restuarants and shops.what was a hassle was the hundreds of taxis plying their trade.every few yards one would stop and ask you if you want taxi.we took a noddy train to sousse which was good and also a tuk tuk.
there was a horse and cart that took you to the hotels beach which had its own beds and also bar.

The Beach adjacent to my Hotel was spotless, with all the usual beach activities, Parasailing, Banana boats ect, with a beach bar, shower and toilets

Port El Kantaoui horrible not a place to go a woman on your own with 2 17 year olds.

Resort has the marina, waterpark, zoo, fountain area and a funfair to visit with plenty of eating places although the food is very repetitive and bland in most places, no bars as such apart from the Pucca in tha Kanta hotel which is great to watch footie and listen to live music. Beach is lovely plenty of watersports available.
Do do the Sahara trip its very tiring but well worth it.
Enjoyed PEK but probably wont visit again, nice to be able to say i've been but don't go back to the same place twice.

Plenty to do on beach-paragliding, jet skis, banana boats etc. Very clean.
In middle of port there is a large fountain that does shows to music. Excellent at night as lights show spectacular.
Plenty of shops and bars-all reasonably priced.
Lots of boat trips available-glass bottom, galleon ships etc.
