oh my god what a disgrace stayed at the relax. The minute we walked into our room we was totally gutted. very basic and dirty. dirty cups and glasses left in corridor all the time we were there. food diabolical. stray cats drinking out of the pool and chased round by dogs whilst you was trying to eat.
There was a dirty mop bucket and mop in the corner of the pool with horrible stench but still used to mop pool area. towels too small to even wrap round your head sheets corse and didnt fit beds needed two. rooms cleaned every three days but minimumly. telly in room never worked and shower leaked. when tried to complain we was told we couldnt, everyone in the hotel was appalled and discusted with everything.

Our second time to this Hotel and first time All inclusive, It has been refurbished since we went 2 years ago, I never ever once seen anyone working in the reception in the 7 days, Arrived early Tuesday morning, They closed the Bar at the hotel on Wednesday evening, The two lifts were broken the majority of the time in the seven days,This hotel is a feeder hotel for the main hotel where everyone eats which is called the Icmeler Deluxe I spoke to many customers in the Deluxe whom were not happy with their accomadation, We found the food was very very repetive, Drinks as said by others here are most definately watered down to the extent that when you got a Beer by the time you walked to your seat that beer was flat, We also spent the last three days eating and drinking outwith our All inclusive basis, Where I reccomend that all others thinking about doing Ai in Icmeler dont use these three hotels in the Litera chain, Go self catering and enjoy the food.

Everyone we spoke to in reception said don't stay in the Relax!! ... This is before we even got the keys to the rooms.
We were originally placed on the top floor - the balcony had a great view, but only if you were over 5' and standing, but you had to stand as there was no furniture to sit on and the door was too narrow to pass a chair through.
Gastroenteritis was going around.
The noisiest Bar in Icmeler is at the side of the Relax, but on the plus side all music stopped at midnight.
Most but not all the staff were miserable.
The reps had a difficult job as complaints were rife.
You bonded well with the other guests in a kind of wartime / faulty towers spirit.
The Relax pool was intimate but too hot. The Delux pool was packed with loud music constantly being played. The Idas pool was OK, but you needed to get your towel on the beds early to ensure a decent place or a bed at all.
There is no way that this can be classed as a 4/5*
A 2/3* at most, so no need for long trousers at dinner.
I would not stay in the Relax again, but may consider the Delux or Idas as this was a cheap holiday, but a 4 hr flight and a 2.5 hr transfer meant losing 2 days of the holiday.

On the 7th of August 2008. Me and my Boyfriend discided we wanted to go away, we got reccommended by a travel agent to go and stay in the Icmeler Litera Relax Hotel in Turkey, Icmeler. Obviously we knew it would be busy as it was school holidays and in the summer months and as the weather in England was so bad everyone would be abroad, but we really wanted to go away and this was the only place on offer. We were told it was a four sun hotel, so we didn't expect much but more then basic we thought.
Well we got there and we were more then dissapointed, we just wanted to cry, we have stayed in youths hostels in England better then this hotel.
The first room they gave to us hadn't even been cleaned from the privious occupants, so they made us change to a different room. Only this was worse, although bigger it was a attic room with no balcony and small windows, which made it very dark. The rooms were looked at by the cleaning staff every day, i say looked at because they were only looked at, the beds may have got made but the sheets weren't change once through out the whole stage of our stay and as for cleaning the bathrooms well they didn't get touched.
We had never been all inclusive before so we thought we would try it, Never again however, it was bog standard food tasteless and rotten. we ate out most of the time. Location was perfect in the centre of everything and only a ten minute walk to the seafront. The only thing was the dining room and all other facilities we're across the road in the main hotel. As we didn't like this hotel we didn't stay here much just to sleep so we don't know much about the entertainment, but going on the staff who were rude and miserable, i wouldn't think it was much good.

On arrival we thought this looks ok, but we were in the delux we were then marched over the road to the relax and thought oh my god what a hole.We got to our room which was way to small for three people the room looked like something from days gone by so old and dated.We had three single beds one was a camp style bed that moved round the room if you moved in it as you slept.The next morning we asked the rep for a move but she didn't want to know, their was a queue behind us all waiting to give her grief and rightly so.The roof top pool is so dangerous their is no shallow end it's all the same depth 6ft and you can read all previous people,s names and remarks on the pool rim where they have scraped them im the grime,we were their a week and didn,t see a pool cleaner their at all.You have to go over the road for your meals at the delux and if i were you i would eat out the food is just abysmal no word of a lie most people had the 'turkey trots'. One thing the food in the local pubs and restaurants is superb and pretty cheap ie fillet steak

We were told this hotel was a 4-5* hotel. To me wouldnt even rate it a 1* - it was a dump in every way. The decor was ancient, and the rooms were stinking with a very bad smell because we were situated in a room above 3 manholes and we asked to be moved and they wouldnt move us and also been to the rep 4 times complaining but she never acknowleged us once. When we went into the bathroom at anytime of the day, the smell would hve made you sick coming from the sink!!! the toilet did not flush or nothing!! The air con was

we stayed in the Relax part of the hotel, bit dispoainted but it seemed clean. on 5th floor lift was dodgie (me and kids got stuck once so walked up and down all week after that) bar is more of smokers hut. all food is over the road at the Delux, entertainment is almost non existant. Food was nice Im a veggie so for me salads were fab. Hotel rep seemed bogged down with complaints and when we went to see her to book a trip her first words were' you'r not going to shout at me are you?'. Two of us used Dr while there which was hiddiously expensive! beware Turkey trots are major problem! ( take medication with you)Air con

POOL AT THE RALAX IS A JOKE BUT THEN SO IS THE HOTEL. STAFF IN ALL THE HOTELS WERE MISERABLE AND NEVER SPOKE.FOOD WAS DISGUSTING CHICKEN WITH EVERTHING.HALF THE GUESTS IN ALL THE 3 HOTELS BECAME ILL. SOME WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL.MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF GOT IT. FOOD WAS BEING RECYCLED IF GUESTS HAD LEFT THEM ON PLATES E.G. BREAD THIS WAS VERY STALE.MAIDS DIDNT CHANGE BAGS IN BINS NEXT TO TOILET OURS HAD FAECES ON THE BAG FROM PREVIOUS GUESTS DISGUTING.ALL THEY WERE DOING WAS EMPTYING THE CONTENTS.THEY WERE ALWAYS MOVING PEOPLE ABOUT AS THEY WERE OVERBOOKING WE WERE MOVED 2 DAYS INTO OUR HOLIDY, WE WERNT TOLD ABOUT IT WHEN BOOKING IN. I AM A NURSE AND WORRIED ABOUT THEIR STANDARD OF HYGINE SOME ONE WHO IS VUNERABLE E.G CHILDREN AND ELDERLY WILL DIE AT THAT RESORT DONT BOOK THEIR ITS NOT WORTH IT I WONT BE I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE AND I HAD TO TRAVEL FOR 6 HOURS LIKE THAT, IM STILL REVOVERING FROM IT AT HOME. IM NOT A FUSSY PERSON EITHER I ALWAYS THINK EACH TO THEIR OWN BUT IT IS REALY BAD.

Hotel dirty and smelly.the first room we where allocated was ajoke, the bathroom sink was hanging off the wall,exsposed electric wires in bedroom wall the floors where filthy.The view from the balcony was like looking down on a rubbish tip.After complaining we where moved to avery slightly better room.The food was disgusting,the same thing most days and served cold,we had to eat out.Most of the staff where very rude and unhelpfull.Did not see any entertainment if there was any,stayed away from the place as much as possible,i would never consider going to this hotel again,i will go back to Icmeler.
