This hotel was very clean and after moving over from the sister hotel the Metropol we were pleasantly surprised.

The rooms are more than adequate with mini fridge television and air conditioning all free.

The food could have been warmer but as they say when in Turkey do as the Turkish do. Drinks were plentiful although the all inclusive bar finished at 11pm and not midnight as stated on the internet booking. But if you can't drink enough between 10am and 11pm there is something wrong.

The pool was clean and sunbeds were plentiful, with a lot of guests taking advantage of being able to use both hotels to eat drink and swim.

The entertainment was none existent apart from the usual Turkish night, but there was plenty of bars around with shows on if you could be bothered to find them. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but there did seem to be a very high and regular turnover of staff so just as you got to know them they were gone, the management did not seem to encourage them to be friendly which is a a shame as it would make such a difference.

All in all an excellent hotel and we would go back for overall value for money on an all inclusive I would say definitely not to be missed.

We were apprehensive after reading many reviews but were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is basic but clean which is what you want.

Hassan at the pool bar couldn't do enough for you. Maids were friendly and we had clean towels daily.

I would stay here again no problem.

We have just returned from the Idas hotel and are not happy ! we arrived late due to our flight being delayed and found the hotel would not give us any food or drinks if we didnt pay even though we were on an all inclusive basis. This was only 11pm.

We also were asked to pay a

We also stayed at this hotel like review below.

We have been to Icmeler many many times and had great times but this time nearly put us off for good. The hotel made a mistake like they did the other people with our deposit and were not friendly or helpful at all.

The noise at night until 4 or 5am was unbearable but management were not interested as long as they had money rolling in.

Not a pleasant experience staying here and I would say avoid at all cost.

Excellent value for money although hotel was a bit dated it was very clean. Booked all inclusive board and found the food good , however some of the all inclusive drinks ran out at 10 pm most nights ie. no vodka after 10 pm and even the lager and wine ran out some nights (all inclusive drinks ran until 11 pm).

Anybody using this hotel should be aware that the receptionist/manger asks that you pay a

This is an excellent hotel to stay in. Excellent food, very clean, nice spacious rooms with TV, fridge, bath and shower, hairdrier, air conditioning (free). Friendly and extremely helpful staff but never pushy. It is in one of the best locations with all the surrounding shops and everyday indoor market (next door), and it is near the bus route and only a short walk from the beach. We would definately stay here again. We have stayed in a few places in Icmeler but this is one of our favourites.

We stayed at the Idas Hotel for 2 weeks and I would recommend this hotel to others.

The Hotel rooms were reasonable size with self controlled air conditioning, a small fridge, hair dyer, TV etc. The hotel rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels.

One of our group's room had a fault with one of the lights, however this was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the hotel staff.

The breakfast was a Turkish breakfast with olives, cheese, bread, eggs etc laid out in a buffet style. As we were only B&B we didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as there were so many other restaurant locally, however we did all have lunch next to the pool and I it was really nice, but slightly more expensive then other restaurants.

All of the hotel staff were great and very friendly. While laying by the pool we had constant table service for drinks. The reception / evening staff were also great and on a number of occasions they opened our hotel rooms with the master keys, so not to disturb other members of our group who had already gone to bed.

The Idas Hotel is located on the main street, within easy walking distance of the main restaurants, bars and beach. It is located next to a large variety of shops, which open their shutters from 7am onwards, however, as we used the air conditioning over night and left our bedroom windows shut, so most mornings we didn

This hotel is the absolute pits!!

On arrival the staff tried to rip us off with the air conditioning stating that it was extra and a special code was needed (Untrue).

The self-service breakfast was all left out uncovered for god knows how many insects to crawl over. The so-called fresh juice was disgusting.

The bar at the pool was hardly ever attended. We woke up on our third night to find another English tourist in our room rooting through our suitcase at 01:30 in the morning and when I jumped out of bed to ask what he was doing he first tried to get past me and when he realised that there was no way I was going to let him get past me he turned and jumped over the balcony (bearing in mind that we were on the 4th floor).

Our Digital Camera and Wallet were stolen with all our money and credit cards in and were never recovered by the police. I suspect that he was in cahoots with some of the hotel staff and had already passed these items out to them. The hotel staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful.

A few other guests then informed me that they had heard their room door handles being tried on a night too. I would not wish my worst enemy to stay in this hotel and I wouldn't trust the staff as far as I could throw them!!!

Well I agree with my husband who has also left a message on this site, but also adding that it was our honeymoon and it was wrecked.

I also think the guy who burgled our room while we were sleeping was in some kind of cahoots with the hotel staff. Some of them where very dodgy looking indeed specially the reception ones very unhelpful, even charging us for a drink when we were up all night with police in the lobby because another one of their guests robbed us. I mean charging for a drink when a guest is distraught and in shock it is disgusting, they even tried to charge my husband for a phone call so he could cancel his credit cards as they to went missing, hhhmmmm.

It's all very dodgy and then they had cheek to ask us why we wanted to move from this hotel, well I will tell you now. We moved because it would never have been our choice of hotel had we seen a picture of it in the brochure or on-line (no wonder there wasn't one)

There were light bulbs hanging out of the ceiling in the lifts (very dangerous) and not sorted when I complained. Lights in corridors turned of on a night (very scary and dangerous too) dodgy looking hotel staff.

The rugs in the lobby were an accident waiting to happen I tripped on them dozens of times, oh I could carry on all day and night about this haunted looking creepy place.

I could not wait to get out of there. We were finally moved to Eden Gardens in the old village and it was wonderful.

I would go back to Eden Gardens but I will never go back to The Grand Saral(Sarba) they want to get a new owner or the owner wants to employ some decent staff and get that place sorted out. It needs a good interior decorator and it totally needs refurbishing or a bulldozer and get rid of the place.

The Hotel Idas is ideally located in the centre of Icemeler and is 10 min walk from the beach, and 5 mins from many bars & restaurants.

Our room was spacious with TV, Fridge and balcony with view of sea.

We travelled with our teenage daughters who had a smaller room but both were cleaned every day and clean towels were provided on demand, although these were for room use only.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke English.

The pool area was clean however was let down by the placement of sunbeds too close together. This coupled with the usual clamour for beds made the beach the preferred option where sunbeds were readily available for very small cost (approx
