Ayia Napa is a lovely place but pavements very dangerous and seen many people in plasters ect after falling. Plenty of places to eat out and the harbour area is very nice although it always seemed very quiet.

Nissi beach for us was a bit of a let down, quite dirty with rubbish and cigarette dumps all over it, and lots of sea weed in the water (I know this cant be helped!!!). We hired a car and you'll find lots of smaller beaches like Marcsonisis very nice and also Connor Bay. Our favourite place was Protaras and Fig Tree Bay is amazing, so clean and the sea is so clear and still, it's fantastic for the kids and you can see the fish in it it's so clear.

We were concerned booking a trip to Ayai Napa with a young baby however the hotel is a good 15-20 minute walk away from the nightlife so it was fine where we were.
The beach at the hotel was very pebbly so not good for the sea but there was a lovely sandy beach about 5-10 minute walk away.
Nissi bay is a 20 minute walk away but with sandy beaches and clear water it's worth the walk.

We had a meal in flames restaurant just 5 minutes from the hotel and it was a great meal, worth a visit definately.

The area was clean, no litter, felt very safe.

If you are travelling with a small baby you could easily buy nappies (huggies and pampers) and swimming nappies in the local shops but they were about £2 more per pack then in the uk. Also I was able to buy baby food quite easily and evian water to make up milk feeds. Did not see any formula milk about so advisable to take it with you.
This was an excellent holiday overall and we are just about to book up for next year but for 2 weeks!

The walk into Ayia Napa is about 20 mins and very close at hand for the clubbers etc. For those who want a quiet drink or meal they are also catered for without having to go into the middle of the heaving night life.
Beaches are plentiful and very clean. The one directly outside the Electra is rocky but has got plenty of watersports going on there. A short walk along the beach path takes you to Sandy Bay which is a small sheltered cove which we found ideal for children. Then there is Nissi Beach which is further along and lovely so we were told.
