The resort in general was very clean.

The entertainment in the resort was second to none. The entertainment in the hotel wasn't really our thing but the square has many bars all with a different theme and different things going on. Well worth a visit.

The beach near the hotel was very small but very clean. Nissi beach was just a short walk away and I recommend that anyone who visits Cyprus goes there. The Beach has crystal blue waters and golden sand. If you dont like the beach then visit the harbour which is just a short walk away. the little restaurants along the harbour serve great sea food.

I will definitely be visiting Cyprus again. 2 thumbs up!

Having heard varying reports of the night life in Ayia Napa I was aprehensive about going out into the town. All our fears were unfounded however, it is a lovely place, loads of shops, restaurants and nightclubs (if you want that sort of thing). Everywhere we went people were very kind and friendly.

The beaches were nice, although the best one in our opinion was Sandy Beach and not Nissi Beach like we were told.

We would definitely come back to Ayia Napa.

The resort pool is large and well maintained/cleaned, we encountered no problems in that respect. You will find however that sunbeds are "bagged" very quickly. So, if you need sunbeds with an umbrella you will have to nominate a member of your party to nip down to the pool area to lay claim to them with your towels. If you come along to the pool late morning, its very difficult to find sunbeds, so do bear that in mind. The Electra is situated on a beach front as advertised in the brochures, but the beach is very rocky, and certainly not ideal for children, and most definately not for unsupervised small children. However as mentioned in the other reviews there are lovely beaches not very far away. Ayia Napa town is a pleasant 20 minute walk away, plenty of shops to keep you interested en route, lots of bars/restaurants to choose from and of course the infamous "square" if you want to party all night !

We visited the water park on the outskirts of Ayia Napa and the kids loved it. Transport is not provided, but taxis in the Napa area should cost no more that 4cyp per journey and there is a decent and frequent bus service operating.

We loved Cyprus and would definately return, the island is beautiful, weather fabulous and we enjoyed our stay at the Electra, however would probably not return to the same resort...must try another part of the island next time !

Resort was a bit out the way,and not very well lit at night and was quite a walk to the nearest resturants.

The entertainment was shocking and like being in a british holiday camp in the sun,The bar area at night was like being in a working mans club with the allinclusive guests trying to drink as much free beer as they could.

Very exspensive for self catering guests you could cross the road to hotel opposite and get the same round of drinks half the price.

Beach was very rocky so could`nt sit on it would go to the electra again but would go back to Cyprus.

The hotel was not actually beachfront. Directly in front of the hotel is rocky. There is a sandy beach adjacent to the hotel - but rocks in the sea make it totally unsuitable for swimming. Better to walk a bit further round to Sandy Bay - a lovely family beach suitable for swimming. Nissi beach itself is a good 20 minute walk away.
According to maps given to us by the Rep - this hotel is situated outside of the Nissi Bay area - being more accurately described as Ayia Napa Bay.
We did the undersae trek in Penera which was really good.
The waterpark in Ayia Napa is more suited to thrill seekers - with most of the slides being in the dark with vertical drops at the end.

The area of the resort near to the hotel doesn't offer very much at all, but a short walk along the coastal path brings you to Ayia Napa, where you can find everything that you need.

Buses cost 70c each and we never paid more that £5cyp for a taxi anywhere. We didn't need to venture out at all during the holdiay as everything was provided in the hotel.

Visit Protaras - Fig Tree Bay, the sea there is crystal clear. The water park is a must, even though there aren't many rides for children under 1m, it was really a good day. Try and get there for 10.00am as there are no queues at this time!

Try and pick up some money off vouchers at the supermarket!

didnt get to venture out much to try the nightlife due to having two kids, did go to nissi beach, sandy bay,and fig tree bay in protaras, nissi was full of quite young teenagers not many kids, but fig tree bay had a very relaxed atmosphere and was a nice place to get from our own resort.didnt see hardly any rubbish, and it is nice to be able to walk in a street without having to dodge dog poop, chewing gum and peoples spit like back home! i would like to return without the kids and see what the nightlife is really like one day

The place was clean and tidy but as I've said the beach needs more sand.

The beach wasnt that good because it wasnt original. In the sea it was very stoney, also wasnt that clean. So your better off getting a taxi and going to nissi bay which is just down the road. Its said to be one of the best beaches on the island so if your a beach lover i think you would enjoy it.

We ate out once (as we were all) and it turned out to be very good and quite cheap and the strawberries are lovely! So if your going half board I would recommend the restaurant as you come out of the road its on the right, oppostie the taxi place.

I would go there again the kids loved it and the weather was very nice.
