The Brilliant Hotel didn't have any bad points.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The food was very good, but I don't think anyone in Cyprus can make good toast. While we were there it was my daughter's birthday and Chris, the Manager, arranged a beautiful birthday cake and candles.
The location is perfect. It's just a short walk to the beach and the main street without it having any of the noise of the bars. The maids cleaned six days out of seven and were very helpful when we asked for extra pillows. The pool area was always kept spotless, and we could go down to the pool at any time and there were plenty of sunbeds, although the odd person still found it necessary to reserve beds even when they spent the whole day at the beach and came back to the pool late afternoon.
We've already booked to return next year.

This Hotel was fabulous! We only booked it two days before we arrived and we were allocated on arrival. We were so lucky to have ended up there. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The hotel food was lovely apart from the dodgy toast! The location was spot on as you are slighty set back from the main strip so its a bit quieter. The road leading into the town IS well lit and there is a nice lit up pathway through some trees which leads you straight into the centre of the strip.This only takes about 5 mins. The location is also very good as it is not far from Ayia Napa where in a taxi it costs

i found the brilliant hotel on the internet and phoned them personally back in january to book. we arrived early hours of the morning so could not see much, just unpacked a few things and went to bed. we found the rooms clean and maids very heapful. the only problem i had one night was a cockroach decided to share my bed with me which i was not too happy about.
i liked the fact the hotel was away from the main strip, but only a short walk which is lit up despite what another writer has stated. i had room 228 so we could see the sun set it was beauiful. the only problem was they are building new buildings on that side of the hotel so that was the view we have first thing in the morning builders working bare feet no safety (quite an experience watching how they build their houses
the food at the hotel was very nice and the staff friendly and cooperative. the only thing i would complain about was i feel they did not clean the pool out very often and when they did not much effort was made by the pool attendant. hence my two daughters and my friends son all got ear infections in the last week so were unable to go in the pool.
i must recomend the clinic just along the road they doctor there his name is vassos was excellent i visited him five times with the girls and we had first class treatment.
the only other thing was you had to get up early to put you towels out other wise you did not get a sunbed

This has been our 4th visit to this accommodation and we have already booked our 5th for July 2005 and our 6th for July 2006.
In our opinion this accommodation provides all your needs for a relaxing family holiday.
It is ideally situated just off the main strip so that you can have peace and quiet for a good nights sleep.
The hotel staff from reception to the bar are all very friendly and willing to help.
The food from the bar and restaurant is highly recommended.
The hotel rooms and pool areas are kept very clean.
Try this and I assure you will not be disappointed.
In our opinion this accommodation provides all your needs for a relaxing family holiday.

Returned for 3rd visit,and enjoyed it just as much as the first time.
Rooms are basic but hey who lives in the room, hotel food is excellent. It is located off the main drag but its only a two minute walk. Hotel staff are very friendly, would not be the same without Chris (Basil Fawlty)though, we always get a good reception when we arrive each time.
You get what you pay for so all the moaners who make negative comments want to splash out some more cash and go elsewhere.

this is the third time we have stayed in this hotel and we will be going again in 2006..It is really lovely, we got married in cyprus (paralimini) 1996 and stayed at this hotel and had our evening party here...all staff great location great food great what more can i say but just great once you have been i can assure you that you will return...honest!!!

The location of the hotel in our opinion was ideal - it wasn't right on the strip (so you wouldn't be kept awake with noise), yet it was well within walking distance of the strip and beach.
The bath was a little dirty and upon asking the cleaning lady to clean it we were told it was scratches. We went to shop and bought some cif and sure enough the dirt came off. But apart from that it was clean.
We only really used the apartments as a base so can't comment on food or entertainment.
Pool looked clean.
Building works had started on left of the hotel (facing towards sea) but didn't keep us awake as we had air con concealing any noise.
We are actually planning to go back there next year.

Stayed at the Brilliant apartments for 2 weeks. Requested a room with pool view, no problem at all.
Food at the bar was spot on and staff brilliant.
Clean room and excellent maid service.
Location of apartments are good as you can get away from the noise of the strip and yet only 5mins walk to all entertainment.
The staff could not be friendlier they don't just do their job, they actually entertain you any time of the day.
Will be returning to these apartments in July 2006 and I'm sure we'll have another great holiday.

Stayed in the brilliant apts outstanding, very clean. Rooms cleaned every day, bedding also changed take my hat off to the cleaners very good.
The bar manager chris was great no complaints at all so helpful, mike the waiter was out of this world funny he would bend over backwards for you get you drinks whilst you sunbath.
We have already booked for next may 05,weather fantastic 14 days of pure sunshine. Beaches good! Fig tree bay very good. If you go mention michell and the mermaid tell them what you have read on this page also read the comment book 03-04 very funny hope you book your holiday you will not be dissapointed have a nice day
