The Rising Star is in a fabulous location. The view from our balcony was amazing. We looked over the pool and right down the beach to Fig Tree bay.

The hotel is very clean. The cleaners don't miss anything! they even clean the balcony railings.

The staff are very friendly and make you feel really relaxed.

There is a good choice of food on offer. something for everyone. The hotel restaurant is just over the road, so if you want something a bit more Cypriot, that's available as well.

The entertainment was good for the kids. They had a mini disco in the pool every day. They also did water polo, pool, scavenger hunts, and many other things to keep the kids (and adults) entertained. There is also entertainment on a night time which include a BBQ night and a carvery night.

Stayed in Rising Star and found the hotel really clean as cleaners even cleaned railing on balcony.

The food was all very good as was the hotels resurant which was just over the road. The hotel is in a great location on the beach. Only downside is the beach is rocky by the hotel so you might prefer to walk along a little further for it to be free of rocks.

The hotel is of the main strip so it's in a quiet location with only a 5 minute walk to get on main strip.Activities are excellent for the kids with entertainers Ben, Andrea and kids favorite Jeanee Jellybean.

Went to Vangellis last year but this is a better complex overall in all departments.

After basing the decision to visit the Rising Star apartments upon many of the individual contributor

This was our first visit to Cyprus, and from the onset and all through the duration of our stay we were totally impressed with everything about this hotel.

The rooms were big, spotlessly clean, with all the necessary items for self catering, we were situated on the third floor the views were gorgeous; we could see the med, the town and the quaint old church up on the hill.

The hotel staff inc reception, bar, and maids are as friendly as you could wish for and extremely hard working to ensure your holiday is of the highest standards, they are all a credit to this great hotel. Also a big mention to Ben apple, jellybean and Andrea for the poolside entertainment which gave great value both day and night to kids and adults alike, and the escape team for all the activities and getting the kids out and about.

The hotel is situated right on the beach, with a fantastic pool, and grass terrace with ample sun beds to relax in. the pool bar was great for a daytime drink although I cant comment on the meals as we ate out in the many excellent restaurants in the resort. The upper terrace bar was great for an evening appetiser before a meal or a night cap.

The beach in front and to the left of the hotel is sandy with huge rock pools the sea here quickly shelves into a deep rocky bay which is the best snorkelling environment I have ever seen, crystal clear and full of small and colourful fish. Good for fishing also. The beach to the right and just along from the gorgeous fig tree bay is a bathers paradise warm, clean crystal clear water and soft sand, the hotel also has a supermarket close by which has everything you need and well priced too, the Rising Star pub which is well worth a visit or two and the Vianna Marie restaurant, with its assortment of both cosmopolitan and local cuisine, although we preferred the Niossitis tavernas on the beach, great food, great service, great view. Everyone we met and spoke to were friendly and having a great time, both my wife and I, and both our kids made good friends, and it was a pleasure to be part of such a fantastic environment.

First visit to Cyprus and loved every minute of it. Fantastic hotel, location superb 10 minutes from town centre but away from noise, rooms excellent really clean only let down by lack of storage for clothes.

we have been back to cyprus and this and it's sister hotel for 11 years in a row we love the hotels and are going back in 08 in august (really hot at this time)
love the staff in the yannier maria leo is a legand the best manager ever and enjoy it every time we go and will go out to cyprus every year.

I came to the Rising star hotel last year and it was so good that we recommended it to family and friends this year so this time there was 16 of us and we all stayed in the rising star apartements!

The bar staff were absoloutely amazing and I love them...if your going here keep an eye out for them...Michael, Kamil, Michael, Marek, Gabriel, Nadia and Petra! they are very nice and all speak excellent english except for Gabriel and Marek, but they are very nice still! our room was kept nice and tidy, the maids did an excellent job of cleaning them!:)

We had a pool view which made our holiday because it was such a nice view...you can see everything...the pool, the sea, shops, night life and lots more!

The shops and restaurants around the area and super and they are very quick and easy to get to! It is quite expensive buying drinks and ice cream from the pool bar but if you do go down the road to the Yianna Marie super market, you will find things a lot cheaper!

Just back from the Rising Star. We stayed in the older sister hotel the Golden Star four years ago and thought we'd try the newer one. It is brilliant.
Right on the beach, not far from the main drag and dead handy for everything.
It was spotless, with cleaners, clean sheets and towels on a regular basis. Not a bug or beetle anywhere inside the place the whole of our visit.
The staff were brilliant throughout our stay and nothing was a bother to any of them.
We will definately return to this place, because we have had a cracking holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday in Protaras, the room was very clean but not a lot of room to store clothes for the four of us.

We weren't over looking the pool and the bin men woke us up on the first morning and we asked to be moved to the other side but they couldn't after a few days though we were happy to be in the room it was quieter than the pool side which was good for kids afternoon naps as they couldn't hear what was going on.

The balconys were quite close together and not very big so you don't get much privacy.

The pool area was very clean and there was always plenty of beds we used the grass area mostly which was lovely to be able to overlook the sea.

We ate in the hotel bar and found all we ate fine and the staff were lovely.

The entertainment for the kids was good we got quite into the pool disco!!

The childrens reps weren't in your face (like some) they left parents well alone and didn't make you join in. The provided us with nice little quizes if we fancied doing them.

We would go back to the same place again we had a lovely time enough for everyone to do and have a happy holiday.
