We arrived at the Hotel after a 4 hour delay from Gatwick and were very pleased with the reception we received from the Staff. We were checked in quickly and headed for the bar which is open until 2am. After a few drinks to wind down we headed for our room which was a Junior Suite in Block 16. Upon entering our room we could not believe the size of it, it was massive, (2) double beds, sofa, TV, mini fridge, hugh bathroom with bath, toilet, seperate shower and sink. We have a lovely patio with 2 chairs and a table overlooking the fountain pool.

Breakfast is served in the Main Buffet Restaurant and is very good, they had a wide choice for breakfast, I have never seen so many cakes. Lunch and Dinner was good as well, there was always something to eat. If anybody say's the food was bad then I think they need there head tested. Dinner time was best, so much choice from soup, pies, fish and meat, to fresh pasta being cooked along with meat being freshly cooked and pizza's as well. The staff in the restuarant were brilliant, every day our table was set and waiting for us, and all that for a tip of 50 Egypian Pounds (

Having visited Egypt 5 times previously and stayed at Hyatt Regency, Radisson and Sheraton we were a little apprehensive about this hotel.

The reception is stunning, our room, a suite was spacious and clean, we even had a separate shower cubicle as opposed to the usual over bath fitting.

There are 5 speciality restaurant's as well as the usual buffet and the food and service was of a good standard. The hotel facilities are excellent with 4 pools and a water park on site all at no additional cost.

All the children appeared to be loving the kids entertainment and there always seemed to be cabaret and shows on every night for the adults.

We really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely visit again. The only down side is that it is 15kms to Naama Bay (but a taxi is only

We had originally booked to go to Holiday Village, but the opening was delayed so we got offered LTI.Big mistake!! I wish I had listened to reviews.WE got a family room, after arguing with manager as we had been allocated 2 double rooms, not near each other. Then our cases went missing in hotel and didn't get them back till 3 hours later. The reception area is really grand and pool area nice, but thats it.
Our room wasn't cleaned properly on arrival, camp bed mattress was soiled, sink plug broke, bin dropping to bits and we had a lovely collection of ants, woodlice and cockroach to keep us company!! There was a really strong sewerage smell in bathroom and the tap water was brown.
The food was awful. The main buffet restaurant was filthy, no clean tables, glasses, cutlery. The serving counters were dirty and raw meat was placed next to cooked. The waiters (well most of them were useless and didn't want to do anything)I ended up having to wipe cups tables and cutlery with antibacterial wipes and still 2 of our friends were ill. There was always a queue for doctors everymorning!!
The alacarte restaurants were nice but you had to queue at desk from 9am to book for following day, we only managed to get 1 booking.
The rep was a total waste of time, and did nothing to help when we went to see him .
Some of the hotel staff were nice but most were miserable and rude. As there are no women work in this hotel, the men can tend to be a bit slimey.
The entertainment(well what there was ) was rubbish, just shows you what Russian sense of humour is like!!
We booked Holiday village for a perpose ie:
Great kids clubs, entertainment, british staff, so to get transfered to somewhere that was total opposite to that was horrendous!!
Please take note of this honest review, and chose a different hotel as the area is lovely.

Having had an eventful time in Egypt as most of u will know this is how our hol started off at LTI, and we are quite easily pleased people who have holidayed all over the world and is the first time ever had to complain!!!!

Arrived at LTI at 11pm, checked in to find our 2 rooms were not together as pre arranged, as we had booked interconnecting rooms for holiday village. Told them there was no way we were having this has we had 3 children with us!! After having to ring FC emergency number and alot of messing around we finally got a family room.

There were wires hanging out of the ceilng where smoke alarms should be, had a look at other rooms and found out that all block wasn't up and running yet. Light switches would work one min and not next. The bin in bathroom was broken and placed over drainage hole, which had a strong sewerage smell. Plug in sink wouldn't let water out and tap water was brown. Camp bed matteress was badly soiled. Air con kept going off. We had a lovely selection of visitors ie, Ants, Woodlice, Cockroach in our room. Light bulbs in bathroom were out.

Room hadn't been cleaned properly on arrival. When we finally got to our room all our cases went missing in hotel, it took nearly 3 hours to get them back, which was 2.45 am by then, so we had no toileteries etc for bed and kids were very tired.

Breakfast - Went to buffet restaurant, it as filfthy!! Tables were not emptied, no clean glasses cutelry. Waiter service was rubbish, all they wanted to do was leer at you. Had to wait for tables to be emptied before sittin down as waiters wouldn't allow you to sit at empty tables. Eh?? Tables never got wiped, work surfaces disgusting. Cooked meat was placed next to raw. Friut bowl was full of rotten fruit. Areas behind serving counters dirty.
The only part of this hotel that was 5 star was reception and pool area , everything else not even 3.

Went to welcome meeting and met the lovely FC rep what a guy. He was a complete and utter waste of time, I could have done a better job myself. Met a HV rep only to find our names had not been added to transfer list on 14th. Great!! Told her ther was no way we were staying here for 2 weeks.

We got wrist bands for Coral Sea after 5 days as we were moving there 2 days later and there was no way we could eat at LTI any longer. We had basically ate chips and bread for 5 days and still 2 of our party were ill. There was a large queue for doctors evry morning and night, as everyone getting ill. The snack bar roun pool area that served chips and sandwiches was disgusting. The baskets were never washed, just banged on side of wheeley bin and then reused. Work surfaces dirty and staff rude. After snack bar shut( which was only open 2 hours a day) all remaning food was wrapped in foil and placed under counter in blazin sun, with a wheeley bin placed in front of it. After seeing this we could no longer eat there. All these issues were raised with rep, who said that food was OK and he ate there everyday!, but when we went to CS for our tea who should be sat munching away but our rep!

I asked for a complaints form and he never asked why. I told him about health and safety issue with smoke alarms and all he said was" Yes they should be there". He did nothing. My husband waited an hour an half one day to see rep, but he never turned up.

Everytime we went back to our room there was workmen there doing jobs, surely these should have been done prior to us arriving.
So basically had 7 days of hell at LTI. There was no entertainment for kids, especially British. The place was full of Russians, which I had asked about in Uk and got told that wouldn't be the case as there were alot of people from Holl Village who would be there. That wasn't true, found out there were only 6 parties of us. If we had been given truthful information we would never have accepted to be put in LTI.
The only activity for kids to spend time out of sun were 3 pool tables in Billiards bar. The kids aged 9 and 10 went to play one afternoon only to be told they weren't allowed! Also 1 evening they went and asked for bat and balls for table tennis to be told they didn't have any. 2 mins later a foreign boy went to same bar man and he produced 2 bats and a ball???

The evening entertainment was worst I have ever seen. Pool and bar attendents weren't interested until you offered them cash. Some were also very slimey towards the women.

I am not exagerating this account at all, we were a bit worried before we went as there were a lot of bad reviews, which we now know were true. Sorry if I have caused anyone any distress, but thought you all should know what LTI was like

Like a lot of people we where concerned about booking this hotel after reading some of the comments. However after having been to the hotel we are struggling to understand what people where complaining about.

Reception & pool areas are really impressive, main dinning area was busy especially just when it opens, you just had to time it right.

Food was of a good choice, plentiful & always hot, most meat dishes where cooked to order, (would strongly recommend the soups). Everything was clean & well maintained, I had a minor stomach bug for about 12 hours nothing serious, my wife who is the one who usually gets the stomach bugs had no problems at all. No problems booking the Chinese & Italian restaurants again the food was great.

Recommend the snorkeling trip, introductory scuba diving & the Bedouin trip again the food was great on the Bedouin night.

Regarding buying a visa when you arrive at the airport to clarify you only need this visa if you are travelling out of the area to Cairo etc or if you particularly want to go on the snorkeling trip to the national park. We did not get visa's, we took the snorkeling trip around local reef's & actually the people from our bus who went on the national park snorkeling trip joined up with us again at the third dive site & didn't see any more than us, so you might want to save yourself the costs of the visa's.

Lot of Russians but no different from Germans in Spain.

Always plenty of sun beds at the beach, a slow 10min walk to the end of the peer which looks like all the wood has just been replaced. Beach restaurants were a quite place for lunch not as much selection as the main restaurant.

All in all a great holiday & I would recommend the hotel to anyone, met some guest from other hotels who often came to our hotel as their's where so bad & they all wished they had booked ours?

Upon arrival we were very impressed by the lobby area which is magnificent.

The rooms were spotless and we were very well looked after by the housekeeper who could not do enough for us.

Food in main restaurant was a bit hit and miss but on the whole there was something for everyone. The themed restaurant's were excellent.

Entertainment was a bit boring just a couple singing the same songs every night but the drunken Russians dancing made up for it - they were hilarious. They can be a bit rude at mealtimes though but if you bite your tongue and ignore them they don't spoil your holiday.

For anyone who says that the waiter service is a bit slow all I can say is get off your backside and go to the bar yourself and you will never be short of a drink. Only one criticism - they never seemed to have any ice at the end of the night.

Pools were always clean but you did have to get there pretty early for a sunbed but these were usually available all day on the beach.

We all had a bit of tummy trouble at some time or another but temperatures were in the 40's a lot so this is only to be expected. Didn't ruin the holiday at all.

Would recommend this hotel for couples and families and would definitely go again.

This hotel is not as bad as reports would have it. We had a very enjoyable time. The hotel and rooms are kept very clean, the staff are very attentive although service can be on the slow side.

There is one major drawback with this hotel however. There is a huge complex being built next door by First Choice. The building work starts at 7 a.m. and can go on till very late. One night it was 2 a.m. before they finished.

Another difficulty depending when you go are the Russians. They are very rude get drunk often and are a total pain .

We have just got from the LTI Grand Azur. After being told this was a 5* and one of the best in Sharm and we booked it after looking at the photos of the rooms, pools, restaurants and lobby and though WOW.

We arrived in the magnificient lobby and was escorted to our room in the evening, lovely gardens, pools, restaurants... perfect!! UNTIL we entered our room.... opened the doors to our terrace to see a wooden structure getting built, nails, wood everywhere our lovely sea view gone now just of wood and rubbish. We tried to get moved but told we have been 'upgraded' and to move would mean paying

We visited this hotel for Christmas 2006 with our 3 children aged 13, 16 & 18, having looked at Tropicana website which has lots of information about LTI Grand Azure and taken some advice from an independent travel consultant.

We travel regularly and i consider that i research my holidays thoroughly beforehand so that we have no real surprises and we were very disappointed.

LTI Grand Azure is classed as a 5* resort, but in our opinion, overall is it only worthy of a good 3*.

The food is bland and repetitive and regularly there wasnt anything I fancied. We would have liked to eat at the speciality restaurants but they were always fully booked, the booking system is fraught and like waiting for your school meal ticket when you have to queue with Russians who do not think they have to wait their turn.

The hotel has a lot of Russian guests and they were every bit as rude as i had read about, but you have to see them in action to really believe it.

Drinks are not branded which surprises me for 5*. Lots of people got upset stomachs. Beware if go to the Pharmacy, they will try to sell you Viagra for everything. My husband wanted Gaviscon for indigestion....wrong end guys!

The hotel pools and grounds are stunning and over a vast site, something to bear in mind if you like things within 5 minutes you are not going to get them.

We booked this because we enjoy snorkeling and our kids like the pools. The hotel has a water park on site (main reason to go for us with kids who love the water) but none of the pools except one very small one are heated including the little kids pools or the ones where the water shutes go into. Nobody was in them needless to say.

The sea is pitched as warm enough to swim in, however we felt it was freezing cold. The beach had a red flag up for 6 or the 7 days we were there. The winds are biting but the beach has windbreaks by the sunbeds and then the sun was nice. The jetty is also about 1/2 a mile long!

We found the staff to be very good until the day we were leaving and our taxi was late, my husband asked reception to call and check they were on there way, but they refused, said it was against their policy go and phone them yourself!

The entertainment was well.... Butlins style is about all I can say.

We did a quad bike trip through the desert to the mountains which we can highly recommend and was excellent value. We did not book through the hotel but from a man along the beach at the Oriental Hotel nearby.

I not recommend this hotel or go again.

Just returned from this hotel , 2 adults 14 and 16 year old .

I had read the reports on this hotel before leaving and decided to go away as some people will moan in the best hotels anyway .

But I wished I had listened to the reviews!

5 Star never in a million years more like a 3 ,4 at the most . Hotel itself is very nice the pool area is amazing nice beds ( if you get up early) . We were put in a room right at the end of the complex the first night but upgraded to suites which was nice and roomy and use of the vip lounge for breakfast.

Food, The main resturant is absolutely disgusting the food is cold and horrible and we got to the reception every morning from then on to book for the speciality resturants , Italian ,Oriental and Arabian food was not bad in here , but the queing system was a joke as the other nationalities liked to walk to the front.

Entertainment. Nothing to say here as there was none.

Hotel Taxi, If you wish to go to Naama Bay dont use the service as you will be taken to a shop and the agressive hard sell starts . Stand your ground and walk out. I never paid for the taxi as the driver said pay on return and Inever used the taxi on return , I complained to the manager who looked shocked and could not applogise enough. However, after speaking to other people who had been through the same thing I realised the hotel knew this was going on . A quick tip have plenty of change when getting taxis as for some reason they never seem to have change and they end up taking the lot off you.

Rooms,
Male staff clean the rooms so any females in the room in the mornings lock your doors if getting dressed or showering as they will just walk in Be prepared to wait 3 hours for toilet roll if needed as they can be very slow at times .

If you are not happy about the room complain straight away and demand a move you may be upgraded free of charge or moved dont stay and dont accept excuses from the staff on reception again stand your ground.
