Hotel was fab! Cant say more than that. Rooms arent the best but they are clean & only somewhere to sleep. There are 3 pools all of which are lovely & have plenty loungers. The main bar is clean & very reasonably priced for drinks & for food.
Ilyas that works in the bar in the evening is a really nice man, always over to chat & have a laugh with you.
Koutouloufari is a gorgeous place, too many restaurant & bars to mention. Food was excellent in every restaurant we ate!
Just a pity about the traffic :(
No entertainment on in the evenings when we were there but a Greek night on the Mondays is a good laugh.
Plenty to do outwith the apartments, Koutouloufari to chill out or down the hill to Hersonissos to party.
Cant wait to go back!

we booked marni village quite late, and had a 1 bed apartment so paid under occupancy. we got what we paid for, and the room was clean and spacious but old. the air-conditioning in the bedroom was very noisy, the balcony tiny and overlooked from the neighbouring sides. the mattress was very lumpy and hard, when I mentioned it to the receptionist he just said the beds are all the same. they did turn the mattress over which helped.
we arrived at 6am after a hot and tiring night without sleep. it would have been nice to find, or be able to purchase, a bottle of water before trying to sleep, but the answer from reception was that the shop opened at 7am. shame.
the loungers and umbrellas around the pools are indeed old, dirty and unmatching, the place could look so much better if they got a new set of furniture.
we won't be returning to marni.

We booked our accomodation direct with Marni Village and have no regrets about doing so following a wonderful holiday. The staff were helpful & friendly; the accomodation was tidy and spacious, especially the more recent units. The location was convenient for a vast range of generally good quality restaurants, although car hire for at least some of your stay is recommended and would both open up the adjacent villages and the wider island which is beautiful and wel worth exploring.
We would definitely stay here again.

The complex is in an ideal position in that area with good views over the bay and the mountains. Behind the village the hills are not built on, and from the swimming pool it feels secluded. Hersonissos is hot and airless in May, and up in the hills there was a breeze all day.
The infinity pool is rarely used in May when we went but later in the season there will be more families staying I expect.
There were three of us, Mum and my sister and I. We had a lot of excursions to choose from, and the reception staff were very helpful.
When we arrived, the staff were aware that the key was sticking, and arranged for a carpenter to attend to it within one hour. I think that is an indication of how attentive the staff are there - thanks again Thalia (I think thats how you spell it).
We stayed in a Maisonette, which has a double and two singles. The singles are in fact full mattresses on a daybed type of frame. Its very attractive, the houses throughout have been well designed and maintained. The flowers and palms give shade and even though we did not have a great seaview from the maisonette, we were very happy with the peaceful location on the complex.
We had many funny relaxed meals there outside our home for the week.
The Marni village has a weekly greek night, and the one hosted by the Marni was quiet; however the Sunrise apartments next door had a very loud music system and kept it going late that night.
The nearest supermarket sells great bread, and we found the restaurants of good quality - follow the Rough Guide recommendations as we did.
The cleaners didn't visit for 3 days and after that came every day, washing floors and shower-room and replacing towels. The terms state that towels are replaced once in the week.
I agree with the last reviewer that the shower floods everything when you first use it - but we found that by immediately mopping up with a cloth you can avoid messing about. The showertray is not deep enough.
We didn't want to leave, and having seen the highend hotel where we had our spa treatments Aldemar Royal - we think we had better privacy and facilities in Marni Village.

We had to have a holiday in August as our youngest daughter started secondary school in September and didn't want to miss the start.
We decided on these apartments as we had a good reports from friends. It lived up to all we expected, the staff were friendly and helpful.
The village was very pretty, and there was enough to do within the local area. Our apartments was spacious enough for the 3 of us but, I think would have been a push for 4.
There was always plenty of hot water and the bathroom was more of a wet room. It is very hilly, the new apartments are right at the top with an infinity pool, what a climb!
Several couples did a d-i-y job but what with the strange night flights had to sleep round the pool area til reception opened at 6.
Worth thinking about!
