Hi
We enjoyed our stay we had 2 weeks the room was large we had a side facing room with a balcony overlooking the lagoon but we could also see the sea it was also very clean.I put on a stone whilst there the food was very good in the buffet we didn't eat in the italian so can't comment on that but the mediteranian?spelling?? the food ok but the service was poor compared to the buffet we went in the snack bar after coco bongos & had a burger cooked while we waited it was very good. The bars were noisy but it was spring break time so a lot of partying going on. Drinks were very good The pool bar service was a little slow for the first few days but improved when a tip was given....worth a couple of $ a day for the better service I usually tip at the end of a holiday but found the service improved with the daily tips. the beach was lovely white sand not many rocks just the odd one in the sea it was warmer swimming in the sea but rough undercurrents the pool is unheated & took my breath away but the swim up bar made it all better....
We went to coco bongo's on our own via the bus service it is the best way to travel there we only did the one trip to chichen itza It was about

This was our first time to Mexico and we loved it. The hotetur Beach Paradise was really nice. There are three restaurants you can eat in. there is the buffet, which is really good because they don't just have a self service you can go up to the chef on the hot plate and he will cook you whatever he has on the day usually, fish, beef, chicken etc. On Mexican night he makes you fajitas! They will also make you an omelette or fried eggs in the morning. The is the Italian - this is ok we only ate there once - very quiet. The Mediterranean is very nice - it's like a silver service restaurant. It is only open on Wed and Sat night, you can only go here once a week and you have to make a reservation. But it is well worth it!
The pool bar snacks are ok - nachos and cheese!! But we tended to eat in the buffet restaurant as ther e was more choice. The staff are very friendly and you can have towels to use around the pool and beach every day. The pool is a good size and the entertainment staff play water polo and volley ball everyday. The beach is great and has sun beds with umbrella, which is good because it is very very hot - the sun is really strong from about 11.30 through to 15.30. The sea is gorgeous although we only had red flags out when we were there but it wasn't too rough, the waves can be a bit high. It's very shallow.
The hotel is very clean - maid service everyday and they always seems to be cleaning something.
I could go on but all in all we had a brilliant time and I would defiantly recommend Hotetur Beach Paradise and Cancun!
