I left a review for xmas for this hotel which I thought was brill. I actually gave 5 stars for cleanliness which has been changed to 1. A bit strange. I cannot believe that somebody has left such a bad review 3 months later.

The staff that worked in the bar were marvellous. When we didn't want to go for breakfast we were able to get one to take away at any time full English with all the trimmings. This suited us as we are not early risers.

I would definitely visit this hotel again. It was clean it was very friendly,the meals in the snack bar, which was spotless were very varied and very well prepared.

The rep came every day and was very friendly and helpful. Don't be put off by bad reviews. Some people are never
satisfied.

We arrived at about 2pm and the reception was shut.

Our keys were in a brown envolope stuck on window with our names on. It wasn't a good start!!

The room was very basic. As the week went on we realised the room wasn't being cleaned properly. The sheets weren't changed over the 2 weeks we were there, sockets were hanging off walls and only 2 of them worked. The cleaning service was just a quick brush of the floor, change of the towels and emptying of the bins. Sometimes they made the beds if you were lucky!

We reported cochroaches in our apartment bathroom and we were told just to 'spray' so we had to go out and spend our own money on cochroach spray. We sprayed the door step and balcony door but we were still finding them in the bath every night. We realised there was a hole under the bath and they were crawling back and forwards through the pipes to next doors bathroom.

WHEN the reception was open, the staff couldn't speak a word of English. The bar downstairs had signs advertising happy hour 11-12pm so on our first night we came back early for a quick drink at 1030 to find it was shut. Some happy hour!!

The bar staff were a bit miserable. We went in one afternoon for a drink and 1 of the girls behind the bar had her hands in the tub of grated cheese and was eating it. She was supposed to be making sandwiches. We never went back there for food not that we missed out it was awful.

There were two barbecues and one game of bingo over two weeks, WOW!!

Location was a bit out of the way but taxi's were only about 3euro to both main centre's.

We would definitely consider going back to Puerto Rico but we would never stay in the Aquasol, not even if you paid us!!

Malibu Apartments were basic but what I paid for it was just right.

All Scottish People, no langauge barrier, great for kids, but a bit Butlins if your getting older. Kids had a ball at pool with all 30 other kids (school Easter Break)

Basic junk food, eat down at the Square, (commercial center) Good bars, clubs, shops, etc went down there a few times. As we were up on top hill, we stayed up or down in Puerto stayed there for the day.

Visit Ammadores Beach, clean good facilities, bars etc, Mogan good for a boat trip, very hot glad we took brolly for pool & beach. See photos of Malibu Apts on Gallery Photos.

Apts clean, good big balconies, hire of fan, toaster kettle. We took our own.

Taxis 3 euros to center cheap enough, takes 5 people, book from reception.

Have just returned from a week

A lads holiday never to forget!

The rooms were always clean with the cleaners coming every other day so no complaints could be made!

Many of the reviews I have read have slated the Aquasol but not this group we are all visiting the Aquasol again on the 12th march 2007 and none of us can wait!

The pool bar staff are great and very friendly. Also the food that is served is of top quality especially the club sarny! can't wait till March 2007! See you then!

Just returned from these apartments on 27 November 2004.

The apartment was very basic, but very clean. 3 of us stayed in 1 bedroom apartment, which contained all that we needed (beds reasonably comfortable), kettle, toaster, 2 hob cooker, no rental charges! do get charged for fans, but we didn't need one). Maid service seemed to be every second day, always were kept clean.

Outside of the apartments were also cleaned regularly.

Only spotted 2 cockroaches outside the apartment, and 1 spider inside (cover the plug holes and shouldn't be a problem!)

Only one day of the week that all the sun beds were gone, although could do with repairing/replacing a few of the loungers.

Pool bar was reasonable, with a varied selection of food and drink. Food prices reasonable, drink prices a bit dearer, but they do happy hours which helps!

As with the other comments the apartments are up the top of a steep hill, easy enough to walk down, but never attempted to walk up it, think from the commercial centre taxi prices were about 2.40e, and from the Europa centre about 3.50e (word of warning, some of the taxi drivers are absolutely mad, coming round the bends!!)

Supermarket directly across from the apartments, which are also reasonably priced, compared to the supermarkets at the comercial centre.

Struggle for the staff to smile though, to which I took great delight in using my very small change on!!

I thought the Auqua Sol was great, we have a fab time there. The pool bar was fun as were the staff, drink was a wee bit expensive, thought the happy hour at 4pm was good.

The food we thought was of a good standard. The pool could have been cleaned a bit more but it was suitable for swimming.

The rooms were your normal basic rooms, but were clean and the bedding and towels were clean and changed regular. The location is a bit far from the centre which in a way is good because it is peacful, though a 20 minute walk which is really nice has you in the centre, and we always gave the taxi drivers 3 euros for the taxi back.

We never attempted the walk back up the hill. We will be visiting the Aqua Sol again we think it's great!!!!!

Accomodation basic but very clean, pool & terrace area clean & ok. 2 Single beds & a bed settee I think for most rooms (sleep 3 max), decent bathroom, fridge, kettle, hob & toaster provided. Bar staff very friendly & accomodating, plenty of food & drink available & not too pricey. View is excellent but don't walk down the hill if you can avoid it, a hard walk even if fit & taxis cheap. Daytime entertainment (poolside) good, can't comment on evenings as we went out every night.

i stayed in this hotel in january 04 and thought it was ok the hill trek to it was a bit steep the shop across the road was handy though.

The staff were friendly enough and food at pool bar was ok we liked the center better especally for night life only about 20 mins walk but taxi home only a couple of euros.
worth it when you had a drink.

We all going again January 05 17th can't wait loved every minute of it and staying in aquasol again rooms very basic but clean.

We visited this hotel in January 2004. When we looked at the brochure we thought it looked really nice, clean and inviting, much to our disappointment most of the above were the opposite.

On arrival we were a bit concerned about being on a ground floor room so close to the pool with having our two year old son with us. On entering the room we thought it was 'very' basic and looked like it was screaming out for a make over. There was toilet roll stuffed into air vents to keep the creepy crawlies out (or so we thought) until one night we returned from a night out, we put the bathroom light on to find loads of cockroaches run into a hole under the rim of the bath that was rusting away.

To our horror one of the cockroaches that looked like it had lived there for years judging by the size of it was settling down for the night on our two year olds toothbrush. We immediately made a complaint and demanded another room which we were given no problem. Rep really helpful and sympathetic moved us immediately even though we ended up wasting a day of our holiday moving all our belongings. We spotted one other cockroach in the new room one night and that was it for us, we could not sleep a wink for fear of cockroaches crawling over our son or us while we slept.

This is the first holiday we have been counting the days to come back home, it was awful. The cockroach experience totally spoilt it for us.

The rooms really were disgusting.

However the pool bar staff were really friendly and the food was not too bad either.

The location of the hotel was pathetic also stuck up in the middle of nowhere with a hike down a massive winding hill to get into the main town. On site supermarket helped.

Entertainment was not bad I suppose can't moan about everything but they had a ridiculous small stage for the acts to dance etc on you could not have swung a cat.

Overall we will never be visiting this hotel again we would rather stay at home in the cockroach free zone!
