we have stayed at the monterrey on a few occasions on holidaying in puerto rico enjoying the company os fellow scots at the pool bar. unfortunately with the demise of seguro the apartments are very quite to say the least. arrived and had company at either side and a few days later we were the only people in the full block of 18 apartments. Great to have the pool to ourselves. The maid still visited daily except sunday with fresh towels. beds changed twice weekly. great location only 50 stairs on to thge level and a short 10min walk into the centre. the resort was apparentley encountering the quitest period for a long time. there were a lot of bars and restuarants closed it seemed very strange. had an enjoyable holiday eating in san miguels, don quiote, oscars and visiting mogan for the first time. hope to return in october depending on the exchange rate currently 110euros to the pound.

john have been brilliant and not forgeting mally my daughters 16th birthday was in june we went over for 1wk and rosemary made it extra special she ordered a birthday cake decorated the pool bar for her we went to the monterrey for the 1st time in april 07 and have bn back since as rosemary is so friendly she makes every1 so welcome and we love her to bits tht were booked up to go over for xmas&new yr cant wait

we first met rosemary in the monterrey apts easter 07
she made our stay so good that we booked back up for october week then my kids booked us flights for new year week but no accomodation my kids got in contact with rosemary and she gave up her flat for a week for us shes so friendly to do that for a family that shes only met twice but thats the type off person she is we went back to monterrey at easter,1week in june for my daughters 16th birthday which rosemary ordered a birthday cake champagne for her it was the bbq night so it was extra special for my daughter a sixteen birthday to remember and got everyone that was at pool bar that night to sing happy birthday to her then we booked our summer holiday for2weeks in august which we made good friends there had a brill time that were booked up to go back for xmas&new year cant wait

cath is a very capable employee and good cook and nothing is a trouble to her. good atmosphere around bar area and food great value in particular tatties and mince and chicken curry.some strong language from some guests at times in particular in front of children.rosemary welcomes everyone. good basic rooms and very clean. will return.

The pool bar for me, made the apartments, Rosemary (owner)is scottish, so it was like home from home. the food was great made by Cath and Gordon, and the banter from Mally behind the bar was spot on made everyone very welcome...Because Seguro own the apartments and they only fly from Prestwick meant it was all scottish guests..another plus... rooms very basic but kept very clean.. no complaints from me ... will def be back in April...

cath and the other staff were wonderful and very friendly. they helped make the holiday as good as it could be. they helped with advice and where to go for a good meal, night out etc. also the cleaner was brilliant, and the company around the pool bar was par excellant.

Rooms basic but vey clean,
Maids in everyday except for a Sunday. Pool small but clean. Pool bar people very friendly. Food excellent.
10 mins walk from commercial centr. The walk is down a hill not suitable for people who have difficultiy in walking saying that they can get a taxi very cheap and plenty of them.
We will be visiting the Monterrey apartments again.
