The hotel provided excellent value for money. May be worth considering paying a little extra for a pool/sea view although we did not do this and the room was fine.

We enjoyed staying at this resort. Plenty of shops, bars, eateries etc and everyone friendly. Although we were all inclusive for variation we ate out a couple of times at some typical Spanish restaurants rather than looking for British places which we enjoyed. Plenty to choose from. The train station is within walking distance with Barcelona just an hours ride. The local taxi rank at the station also displays taxi fares to other resorts so you know how much you will be paying.

There was nothing to do apart from visit a very good Manchester pub for a decent meal.
The market was good in Blanes!! I recommend that. Also we visited the Nucam stadium in Barcelona which cost 11 euros return on train for 2 from Malgrat(takes 1hr) Tour round stadium cost 10 euros for 2!! You get to hold the champions league cup and get a photo for 8 euros. That made my husbands holiday as we saw a famous player as we were leaving the grounds.

I could imagine seeing this resort to be very lively in July/August time. This time of year was just too quiet

I was extremely impressed with the resorts of Malgrat and Santa Sussanah. They were clean and well maintained. We were surpirised at how lively the resorts were as it was nearly the end of the season. There was plenty to do especially for families with children. We will certainly be going back to this resort.

As this was in October, most things were closed. Once you've walked down the shopping streets and the street sellers have skinned you,there's not a lot to do.
There were a few bargains to be had in the leather goods shops and sports shops.
Motorbike leathers and fake football strips can be picked up for buttons compared to the U.K.

The resort area is generally unpleasant with not many walks and you really need a vehicle to get around. The beach was the exeption to the rule and if you are a beach person then you will enjoy this aspect. The place seems to provide the impression as grimy and dirty.

As a cultured couple we were worried that our holiday would be dominated by lager louts and loud brits, and though some of the guests were stereotypical, we noticed that as long as you are prepared to explore further into the town or your own day trips, you will have a fantastic time in Malgrat de Mar.

Great resort lots of resturants, soveneir shops and bars. Beach clean with a few activities on the it.

Stayed in the resort for 1 week with a friend. The resort appears very run down with not alot to do. Most hotels AI and there is therefore only a small choice of eating places. A few bars which are fine. A few empty clubs around too. Resort only 1 hour from Barcleona which is very handy. Would not go back.

Typical spanish resort with plenty to offer.Long shingle beach lots of space.Lots of bars and a few clubs.The local trains and buses were very good and reliable.We went to barcelona on the train for 6euro it took an hour and was very easy.There are boats which you can take to tossa de mar and lloret de mar,but the bus was quicker and cheaper.Very much a friendly family resort with night life but not too lively.
