Move
If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Lots of steps to the beach but managable. Potters nice cafe down there and reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the 24 hour square especially if you are man hunting!.. the marina is lovely and nice to stroll around but drinks are more expensive here. Buzbys and Bonanza bar are a couple of good bars to go to. On the whole I would go to this resort again, as met some nice people and had a great time.

Beneladena was a very built up difficult to nagivate resort. The road can be difficult to cross onto the sea front at rush hour and the cars don't always stop at the crossings.

The resort at Easter was still tired from the winter and in need so some work. The people are generally friendly.

There is a nice park in the centre and slightly up the hill away from the sea front. It is very peaceful here and there are goats, rabbits and other small animals which the kids loved. Also there are lots of birds on the lake to feed. We spent some time sunbathing here without hassel.

Not sure I would go again - too built up for me.

benalmadena is a very nice resort , lots of bars, resturants and shops to choose from, popular with british and spanish holidaymakers, marina is well worth a look for a quiet sangria ,very cheap meals etc, . p.s when you buy your souveniers buy them from the shops away from the marina as the same goods are available at half the price.

The resort itself is very clean not the usual broken paving flags everywhere.
Lots of entertainment in pubs/karioke.Plenty of bars having the usual impression singers.
The harbour is well worth a visit just to see how the other half live. Lots of cafe/bars and shops,The most beautiful yachts.
Because we had iffy weather we didnt venture onto the beach but they are kept very clean.

Banalmadena Playa is very clean and apart from one or two beggars (Brits) we were left alone. The beach was being cleaned by JCBs while we were there and there was no sign of litter. What was of interest to us were the number of feral cats along the palm tress on the playa, which were obviously well looked after. I understand that a local Charity neuters them to stop a population explosion.

A very clean resort with plenty of bars, shops and entertainment for all age ranges. There is a long beach in front of the promenade which was very clean. The walks along Benalmadena and Torremolinos were wonderful and there are plenty of bars to stop and have a drink or something to eat at. The area is very flat so would suit the less mobile.

Benalmadena is a lovely up and coming resort (its a shame it's not publicised as much as it's neighbouring resorts). I think it has the best beach out of Torremolinos and Fuengirola definately. It's immaculately well looked after and has a lovely prominade full of amazing restaurants and bars. The beach is great - long, clean... I literally stayed there all day! Best to go between July and beginning of September i'd say as its a bit more busier then, i went end of September, and whilst the beaches were still busy, of a night time you could tell it was out of peak season- but hey, if you want it a bit more peaceful, go end of Sept.

They have watersports on the beach (we paid 60 euros for an hours worth of jetski-ing - but worth it!!!). I loved this resort and i would definaetly go back, it's less commercialised than Torremolinos and Fuengirola (as i think them resorts are a bit tacky, too much of a british touch to them both whereas in Benalmadena, it's got a true spanish feel to it). I also recommend the boat trip to Fuengirola (ok, wasnt really that much of a fan of that resport, but the actual trip from Benalmadena to Fuengirola across the Med is LOVELY!). If you want to top up your tan and feel great, then go on this boat trip!. It's located next to the Marina...

Very pretty harbour, fish will swim up and take bread from your hand! Wouldn't say it was cheap to eat or drink in harbour area but across the road from the hotels are lots of English and other cheaper bars to eat and drink.

Catch the buses to all other resorts along the coast, buses are cheap and run frequently. Don't forget to go to Gibralta for the day to bag your duty free and much much cheaper prices than Spain!

The resort is very clean and pretty, and there was hardly any litter.
The entertainment in the resort was good, every place that we went greeted us nicely.
It was an extremely steep hill down to the beach, i would not recommend it to people with disabilities or heartconditions.
I would visit this resort again.
