If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Problem with room temp in some rooms so pay more for poolside.x take a mozzie spray and spray your room..those wee bleeders can ruin a holiday.Good wee bar called Lilly Langrtys across rd if your hungry at lunchtime.good food and cheap beer!

I would imagine in the main hotel top tip just have B and B as there are plenty good restaurants around the hotel another good tip book a different hotel.

resort has lots going on although needs a facelift as looks a bit dated now. marina is nice, lots of places to eat/drink. crazy golf good and selwo marina worth a visit. nice prom to walk up. lots of traffic even in october.

We love Benalmadena - we have been a number of times and plan on going back many more. The promanade is fantastic to walk along at any time of the day. Paloma Park - which has all sorts of animals strutting around is a must see. The 'hills' may not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems but renting a mobility scooter would be money well spent. The trip on the Cable Cars is well worth IT not only the view when you reach the top but also the Spanish Horse's (12pm) and the Falcon Show (1.00pm) - be prepared to 'smile for the camera'. On a clear day you can see Africa!!!
There are a large number of cabret lounges in Bonaza Square area and in 24 Hour Square for the younger visitors. A lot of pubs serve food at a reasonable price. The train station can take to most places and the local bus service is great and cheap - but they really pack passengers on!! There is also a market on a Wednesday & Friday.
There are organised tours to a number of other city's and other 'Show's'

What an awful place, very dirty. We arrived on sat to skips overflowing onto pavement so we had to walk into road, dog crap all over the pavement, felt awful for the bar owners and their customers who had to eat their meals etc smelling and looking at it. Bins were emptied on tues or wed and when we left on fri rubbish all over again. Some decent restaurants and bars off the main street but mostly awful, greasy overpriced food and for some reason they all have cheap plastic patio chairs with damp cushions. Really i ate at McDonalds twice because i couldnt face more food covered in grease, not all brits live on grease and cheap lager. Marina was approx 45 mins away and worth the walk, more overpriced food and drink but it was cleaner and had better quality and choice of food. Overall it is blackpool with good weather, because the sunshine was the only thing that made it a holiday.

resort was dirty off the front as soon as you went onto the side streets dog dirt rubbish etc not nice had grandson with us in a pushchair so wheeling on and off pavements to avoid dog dirt wrecked cars left in street with no wheels on or glass been smashed buildings boarded up and grafitti all over to go to the beach you had a load of steps to go down and then back up unless you walked to the ends either side which was quite a treck there was a subway but had metal runners to put the pushchair on and i didnt feel confident about it all i can say is never again and believe me i am normally quite easy to please but it was the worst holiday i have ever had

Stayed for a week in Benalmadena, at the jupiter complex. Which is at the back end of the resort.
The area i stayed in was dirty and the streets were paved with a log of dog mess. There were skips on the streets full of rubbish and never moved or emptied in the time that we was there.
It is a run down area which looks dirty and is very untidy. A lot of the bars are also looking tired and dated.
The beach is nice and the promenade is lovely to walk along.
The marina at day or night is very nice. And there are some lovely shops bars and restaurants in this area.

Benalmadena has changed dramatically over the last 5-10 years. The Park is just fabulous for both children and adults. To see the small animals running free is lovely. Selwo is a great day out and well worth a visit. The Marina is also lovely - on the whole I think the entire area is lovely and the promenade and marina is spotlessly clean

I love Benalmadina. its freindly with lots of places to see, eat and drink. its really reasonable and the weather is always nice. Cant wait for next year.

This was one of the worst resorts I have ever been to, the beach was a joke the sand was dirty black and thats only what you could see of it because it was covered in washed up bamboo sticks. The sea is the dirtiest I have ever seen dead fish, rubbish allsorts floating in it I would rather swim in the sea in England any day.
No entertainment for young children, place is full of old rude people.
Marina was spectacular only decent thing about the whole place.
