This hotel is usually known in the brochures and by Travel Agents as the Residence de Charme dar Hayet. I looked in the reviews for residence de charme but couldn't find it, it's only after vsiting the hotel I realised it's known locally as Dar Hayet.

The breakfast in the hotel is exactly what we'd expect for the area, extensive cold buffet, lots of fresh fruit, cheese, ham, yoghurt, eggs, tea, coffee, o.j., bread, pastries, jams etc. Eat as much as you wanted, very flexible in regard to times. Pretty good.

The location was gorgeous, this old house is surrounded by gardens, has a small pool but is on the beach which was advertised as being private, however there appears to be some kind of arrangement with the locals and the staff who look after the beach. This was the only negative aspect as far as I was concerned as the staff were only really interested in their friends and played Loud trance music all day, which would be appropriate in a club to dance all night long but not if you just wanted to chill on the beach, particularly one track which was 15 minutes of "you are f******* sexy you are a sexy f****" which (broad minded as I am,) I wouldn't be too happy if my little daughters had been with me.

Lovely shallow warm waters ideal for swimming on a sandy pleasant beach I do have concerns about how close the jet skis were coming to the swimmers later in the week as I think as the resort becomes busier this will increase.

Excellent view of the Medina it's beautiful in the evening too as the sun sets, the Galleon day trips come into this bay it is so lovely, don't bother you at all though as they are far out into the bay. This is only a five minute walk into the Medina, shops, restaurants, even in the heat of the midday sun!

Not just English, many French, Germans Slovaks and locals nice mix & atmosphere

Arrived in near darkness minimal lighting. Asked by member of staff to pay to upgrade room CASH ONLY. Food no choice option just one set menu, if you didnt like what was on offer you went without.

Menu is definatly not al a carte as advertised, have to eat in near darkness. Cold food or same meals most nights. Chicken,Pasta and Ice cream.

Wine list non existent only most expensive wines available.Breakfast same everyday no choice not even an ommelette, just bread cheese and cold meat.Service from staff absolutely diabolical unless you waved money around. No change given had to keep chasing.

No entertainment whatsoever not even a piano. No Room service, nothing allowed to be taken back to room. This is definately not a 5* Delux hotel hotel more like a 3*.
