What a palace. all thats missing is the crystal chandeliers.
We all had the good old stomach bug BUT that wasnt
due to poor food. Food choice and quality was exellent and even our kids found food to eat.

Say hello to "keyboard Dave " real name Meher who plays every other night in the square and english and singing is very good. ( give him a clap and cheer )

If I'd have read the reviews before booking my holiday I certainly wouldn't have come here and I am so glad I did. I don't know what people expaect when they go abroad especially to a poorer country such as Tunisia.

I couldn't fault the staff from the maids and the porters to the waiters and the barmen. They were all very friendly and made sure our stay was enjoyable especially the animation team who seemed to do anything to make people enjoy themselves!

The hotel was very clean but it annoyed me to see people leaving plates outside of their rooms for the cleaner to move even though there was signs saying to return them to allocated places. Some people can be so lazy.

The food was fantastic. There was so much choice for all nationalities from pasta to fish to pizza & chips to stew, even the pickiest of eaters would find something they liked. Past reviewers have said the food was awful but I don't actually think they could provide many more different dishes and the quality was top class too.

The entertainment was great and please give them a cheer because everyone puts so much effort into it and people did't seem to appriciate it. Please say "Hi" to Merher (affectionatley nicknamed 'Keyboard Dave' who sang every other night)

Having read all the reviews, and despite the last one from Mr. Stacey, my family and I went on holiday with great expectations from The Houda. We were not disappointed!!! It surpassed our wildest dreams! To say it was the best holiday we've ever had is an understatement!

On arrival we were bowled over by the palatial hotel facade and foyer. The porter couldn't have been more helpful. We had a room with a sea view which necessitated him lugging our four heavy cases across the garden and up four flights of stairs, with no word of complaint!

There a no lifts here, which helps in keeping off the extra pounds you pile on from all the delicious food! We had no dinar, having only just arrived, but the porter was happy with a couple of

This holiday was the one my family enjoyed the most. The staff were very friendly and made us most welcome, the kids club entertainer Fou Fou was excellent with the children. The animation team were also fab they got everyone involved in the activities. The location is beautiful with a beautiful beach attached. We will definately be returning to this hotel hopefully this year.

We thought this hotel was great, if only it was situated somewhere else. Nothing much to do once you leave the hotel and wander into the surrounding area.

Hotel staff were lovely, helpful and very pleasant.

The food was fine, this was our first all inclusive holiday, so we were a bit worried incase the food was terrible, but we had no complaints. My husband can be a fussy eater but he always found something that he liked.

Thank god for the indoor pool as the weather when we were there meant we couldn't swim outdoors. Outdoor pool and surrounding areas were clean and well kept, as was the rest of the hotel and grounds.

Our room was good, overlooking the pool and with a seaview. It was clean, spacious and comfortable.
The shower was quite powerful and there was plenty of hot water

(Quick note: We visited this hotel in 2007, not 2004. The dropdown box did not give us this option.)

Cleanliness: The rooms, themselves, could not be faulted in any way. They were basic but extremely clean and the towels were changed daily. My only concern was with the balcony hand rails - there was a little movement - although I will point out that there was some renovation work going on at the time (although this did not spoil the holiday).

The hotel, as a whole, was extremely well kept! The cleaning staff were very thorough and regular.

Food: The food was wonderful! There was quite a lot to choose from and it was all well presented with a description. We are the type of people that like to try new foods, so this was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Some of the dishes were like nothing I'd ever tasted before - in an "extra yummy" sense! You just help yourself and if you felt peckish in between meals, there were snacking sessions - including late at night.

The only thing, although I would not exactly call it a fault, is that it would be nice for the menus to be changed more often. We did tend to see a lot of the same thing every day. It would probably get a tad boring if you were there for more than a week - just my 2 pence.

Location: The location was nothing at all special. There wasn't a lot to see outside of the hotel apart from the beach at the rear although the beach was quite nice. There were excursions available if you like to venture out and see the sites (we did one), but to travel on foot, locally, I would say was a bit of a pain as the locals do pester.

Putting the above aside, there was not much need to leave the hotel. My husband and I would not usually spend most of our time on the hotel grounds as we like to get out and see the sites but, I can honestly say that we were content with doing the opposite this time around. We found plenty to do.

Staff: The staff were great! It started off well with a warm welcome including a welcome drink, and they were very helpful. This continued throughout the holiday. The animatioin team, especially, were fantastic - giving you a lot of attention and keeping you laughing and smiling. However, the reason I did not give this a 5 rating is only because I found, occasionally, that the animation team tried a bit too hard in regard to the personal attention - in the sense that they could be hard to get rid of. But I do mean this in the nicest way possible.

Entertainment: The entertainment was not that great. They danced very well and that was worth watching, but we did not really understand their sense of humour when it came to the "comedy", and believe me, there was a lot of it! All of the group that I travelled with have a good/great sense of humour, but we were all very lost. However, the "leaving show" was fun as there was a lot more variety. Overall, I would say that they tried quite hard though.

I would definitely visit this hotel again. We are even considering next year as a group.

my boyfriend and i went here for our first holiday and it was one to remember. Never before have i stayed in such a gorgeous hotel. The cleaners were very precise and the air conditioning was a godsend.
Although there was a great nightclub we found ourselves watching the nightly entertainment every night, it was extremely amusing espcially the dancing at the end. The staff were all friendly and genuinely loved the english (always nice to hear).
The location was beautiful and such a short commute to sousse and port el kantoui which both had heaps to offer. I loved this holiday even though i returned with a tunisia belly (something i've heard you cant escape) this hasn't put me off as i'm already saving to return.
