the resort of albena is ok its cheaper at gloden sands and you can get a taxi there really cheap you arrange a time and the pick you back up. Bulgaria is a very poor country so dont expect much. It rained the whole of two weeks we were there but as we say a holiday is what you make it.

A fantastic resort, very clean with plenty to do if you want it. The beach is flat with white sand and the sea is very clean. In a morning you can see the ladies hoseing down the streets which are spotless after this has been done.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous and clean, plus there was plenty of space.
Would reccommend going on excursions as they are a great way of seeing more than just the beach. Be warned ,
Bulgarian drivers are scary although the coach drivers were pretty good
There was a great mix of quiet and busy bars and restaurants, some with cheesy entertainment if thats you thing! Plenty of choice even though we went out of the main season.
Everything is sooo cheap so you can afford to indulge in things like lobster and cocktails.

Just returned from Albena, excellent resort. As the sea is warm and the beach is clean we were happy to spend the day at the beach, although there was a fee to pay for the use of loungers, mattresses and parasols.
Food is excellent at the various restaurants in the resort and we would highly recommend you only go B&B to take full advantage of the variety of food available at the very reasonable prices.

Thought the resort was a nice place, we tended to stay by the hotel pool for the week we were here so never had a proper look round the resort.

Fantastic beaches and facilities all clean and tidy maybe more expensive than towns outside but still only about £7 a head for a good meal and drinks

The resort is immaculate, the place is constantly being cleaned, the locals are friendly but some struggle to understand as it seems lots of tourists are german. plenty of restaurants offering from pizza to kebab to sit down bulgarian dinner_ brains and frogs legs have been spotted beware!

Albena is the cleanest resort I have ever been to and it is a shame that a holiday companies treatment to there customers will stop them returning to a lovely resort again.
The beach was very clean,the people were so nice and there was always plenty to do in the town at night and like anywhere you go these days you watch what you are doing and dont do anything daft.

Everything the same, portraits, retro photographs, bungis and waiters pestering you to eat in their restaraunt.
