In general the resort wasn't too bad but the problems with the Hotel has put us off going again.

The resort was spotless. The beach was cleaned every night.
The resort entertainment was very satifactory.
The beach was packed every day with a wide range of water sports which were a very reasonable priced.

Beach was absolutely outstanding really beautiful. Sea was quite shallow and you could go out a long way. Cost of ice cream of beach front 0.50 lev (18p). Didn't get people pestering. Were told that Albena was more up market resort than Sunny Beach and Golden Sands so prices were slightly higher although still very cheap.

The resort is clean, very clean, could do with a bit more lighting on som eof the street though.
Can say on resort entertainment, did not use any so have given a 3 as not to give a good or bad impression.
The beach was swept everynight, and even us smoker get an ashtry with the sun bed! Pleanty of bins for rubbish etc, beach showers, clear blue water.

The resort was quite clean, but there was not alot of entertainment for young children, the beach was O.K but on some days the sea was to rough to go in.

The beach was fantastic and kept immaculate, the scenery was also excellent. The downside, there is one long street at the front that is where the market stalls are. Once you have done this street that is it.
Beware the ladies of the night, my daughters had to fend off three young ladies trying to drag my inebriated brother in law off.
There are some fantastic talented artists in Albena, well worth taking a good family snap down if you want a portrait doing.
I had not realised that Albena was a complete hotel resort (meaning that no locals lived there. Only hotels and the market to see. No local churches or weekly markets very secluded) You passed guards to get in and out.
The only way to actually see any of Bulgaria was to go on trips (at a cost) The Jeep trip was apparently excellent.
Peters place does a mean steak at a reasonable price and Poco Loco was also excellent with own entertainment.
All in all two weeks drag unless you are happy to glue yourself to the beach or pool. Not a place for the adventurist to go.

The resort was very clean and pleasant and very green. Gardeners and cleaners were seen working hard during the day.
The atmosphere is good along the road where the bars are.
The beach was clean and sandy with plenty of space.
Excursions are well organised.

We travelled away from the main resort and went to albena town and visited the pubs and bars around that area.we found a great interest in the tropical cafe bar(I even donated my Sunderland Afc championship shirt-Signed!!!) Overall it is an amazing place to visit

Albena is a lovely resort which is very clean and has a spotless beach.
The locals in the beach bars and on the beach itself are alot nicer and speak quite alot of English, however like anywhere they all want your business.
There are small trains for transport around Albena which cost about 80p, they are a good way to travel in comparison to the free buses which are always jam packed.
Taxis are really cheap always them to quote you a price first, then pay on return when they come to pick you up.
If you get the chance i would recommend the water park at Golden Sands about 15 minutes from Albena, it costs 24leves which is about £9 per person over 1.2m.
Overall Albena is a lovely holiday resort which i would definitly visit again.
