Ths hotel has a lovely position on the beach front, however there is nothing else around it other than more all inclusive hotels. No shops, restaurants etc.

The lay out is really nice with 2 separate pool areas and a long stretch of private beach. Plenty of space and sunbeds.

The rooms were adequate, 2 double beds , TV, and fridge. Stocked with bottled water and juice daily. The bathroom had a slatted ceiling and i feared creepy crawlies could easy get in!

Now the bad bits....the food was terrible, even the a la carte Indian and seafood restaurants were bad. The food was mainly cold, with little fresh salad or fruit.

The queues for the meat and barbecue were always long and the chefs didn't hurry with anything....especially not the pizza man on the beach!

The smell coming from what ever they watered the plants with was awful and the vodka tasted more like rum.
Unfortunately both myself and husband, who were there only for 4 days for our anniversary, contracted dysentery.

Which comes from poor hygiene from food preparation staff and bacteria in pools/non drinking water.
This has definitely put us off this hotel and Egypt in general.

This was my second visit to Hauza, and for two of our group, their third visit. The hotel has definately in all our opinions gone downhill big style. The best phrase to describe the Hotel is "rip off". For example, last time we went about a year ago, the pizza man down by the beach bar made some really lovely tasty pizzas exactly to your own specification, this time, the same fellow who is a really nice chap, was providing boring tasteless vegetable pizzas which can only be described as "vile". The reason for this, there is now a pizzeria at the pool bar which serves better pizzas, but you have to pay. For the same reason the All Inclusive pool bar food is now also vile.

The Hotel Food overall is quite awful, a lot of the time you may have no idea what it is you are actually eating. The bakery I am pleased to say is still excellent, the fresh rolls and cakes really are very good. When you make a cup of tea in the restaurant, you have to make it yourself, the milk has to be ladled out of a hot urn so unless you are there right at the begining of meal times you end up with some very strange looking lumps in your tea.

Most of the staff at the hotel are very nice and friendly, a small tip goes a long way when it comes to queuing at the bar or being waited on, this is fine by me, it is how the hotel trade works worldwide, and the staff do work very hard.

Cleanliness, the rooms are very clean and the cleaners are both very polite and thorough. The downside here are the towels, you are given one towel card per person on arrival which you must not lose, then during the day, where ever you are either around the pools or on the beach, you can exchange the card for a towel, then when you have finished with the towel, having laid on it, sweated on it, dried your body parts with it or coated it in sun creme, you hand it back to a bloke in a little wooden shed where it is neatly folded and put back on the shelf for the next person. I didn't actually see any towels being laundered at any time, believe me those towels stink, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the bugs, illnesses and infections people mention on this website come directly from those filthy towels.

The entertainent is a joke. Last year it was just some background music being played around the pool bar, now they have an entertainment team which I am sorry to say is the most annoying part of the whole Hauza Beach experience. The entertainment team is a conglomeration of about 10 people from here there and everywhere, they have almost no talent or co-ordination and continually pester people to learn to belly dance straight after lunch, or play darts, or aerobics when all we want to do is relax and enjoy the natural tranquility of the area, so they just play the same songs over and over and over again and dance around you, primary school disco style, when you are trying to relax. Pure stress! There is actually a beautiful quiet beach within the complex though because of the racket around the pool you would be very lucky to get a sunbed, the management could learn from this but they don't, or maybe the strategy is to drive everyone to the quiet beach where there are no All Inclusive facilities available.

This is really true, one night the team did a sort of mock up Greased Lightning show which actually got people up dancing. Within minutes the music stopped and the announcement came that if anybody would like to dance the Full Moon Disco was open, for which you would have to pay.

And the best bit, the two teenage friends in our group used the telephone in their room to phone their Mums back home, they each made two ten miutes calls and were charged a total of almost 90 English pounds.

Finally, a nightime trip to a casino was arranged. Four coaches left the hotel only to participate in a 25 minute long Grand Prix, complete with skidding, flashing and tooting. It was only luck nobody was seriously injured or killed. I could go on and on, overall Hauza Beach Resort is a lovely place, though a lot of people have an awful lot still to learn.

We're not fussy people but this hotel has been the worst we have stayed in for some time. The pools were all freezing, so couldn't swim in them. The hotel rooms and grounds don't look well maintained. We were so disappointed that we checked out after one day and paid to stay in a hotel we had stayed in before. Staff seemed nice during our short time there. We've been to Egypt 4 times now and this hotel really lets down the country and its people.

Just back to UK and it was my worst vacation I have ever done. Food is rubbish.

The only heated swimming pool is closed without any prior notice.

The staff at the hotel they are arrogant and they really not qualified to work in a hotel. We order some room service around one and half hour waiting for things to come.

We have food poisoning at the hotel and really will not recommend this hotel to anybody of our family or our friends as really it is awful to stay there.

Just stayed at Hauza for the second time. Not a 5 star Hotel. Had a fantastic time. Staff very friendly and polite, customer relations manager sorted out any problems with ease. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols. the kids had a few stomach bugs, we put this down to the main pool. Kids loved the beach and sealife. Food was good( Indian, main resturant and pizza bar).

We visited the Hauza in October last year. Looking at other comments on the hotel and our own experience I think avoiding high season would guarantee a better holiday.

The hotel is probably a 3* in our home rating, staff were fairly helpful and any problems (not many) sorted quickly.

food is plentiful, repetitive but not inedible. we did however make the effort to avoid anything uncooked.

entertainment however is poor. the bar area doesn't cater for the amount of guests and this really is the only place to go at night other than leaving the hotel. is does provide a mini disco for kids for half hour a night but that is virtually it.

we would go back to this hotel as it is at bargain prices.

The rooms are dingy at best and the amount of ants in the bathroom is unbelievable. The air con is noisy (when it is working that is)and the mini bar is a fifty year old fridge with 2 bottles of water in it. The constant smell from the zoo is unbearable.

The food is identical every day which wouldn`t be that bad if it was edible. Out of our party of 11 people. 9 had the runs and 4 were sick. Don`t know if that was the food or the filthy pool. If you put your hand 6 inches under the water, it dissapeared in the grime.

The staff were ok but only when they had thier hands in your pocket.

The `entertainment` was a shambles and the whole experience has put my wife off for life. I could go on forever, believe me but wasted enough time and money already. 5 star my bottom, more like 2 at best.

We booked for 2 weeks but flew home after 3 days. Please don`t go to this dump.

This was our first time at the hausa but second time in Sharm and whilst not wishing to be overly critical it definitely was a disappointment.

We were told the Hotel was at 110% capacity and it was clearly struggling to cope with the numbers of guests.
Pool cleanliness was poor with dirty cloudy water which although chemically checked and passed fit each day was very unpleasant to swim in.

Food was just bearable but certainly nothing to look forward to and often cold (although presentation was good and the bakery excellent).

The air con in the restaurant and the lobby bar was non existent and very uncomfortable.

Drinks again were not great but by and large were cold and just bearable.

You had no choice but to put a towel out at 4 a.m. in order to secure a bed and parasol.

However in the last week of August when the occupancy levels dropped dramatically most of the above improved greatly with beds freely available, water quality improving almost overnight in all pools and even air con making the lobby bar and restaurant more comfortable.

There were a number of power cuts earlier in the holiday and we believe the generator was struggling to cope with demand and they may have turned off the pool filters and public air con systems to help with this issue.

I do however have to say that the staff were lovely to a man and very helpful. The slides were great for the kids. And our family suite was fantastic with a huge balcony and a great sea view.

Also I feel we do have to bear in mind that the price range of this hotel is clearly a budget choice and maybe we sometimes expect to get a little more than we have paid for. I paid
