On arrival at this hotel we were impressed by the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff.

As we arrived after the evening meal had finished we were pleased to be offered bread and cold meats.

We were in the main hotel, the rooms were on the small side for three people sharing, but saying that they were extremely clean and the housekeeping staff were very polite.

The breakfasts were very good, from 8am to 10 am,the selection of food varied from cereals, fresh fruit, breads, meats, omeletes, and cooked breakfast.

If you missed breakfast there was only rolls, crisp and popcorn until the lunch time meal.

The lunch and evening meals provided a good selection of food, with a seperate childrens menu avaliable on an evening. They did serve chips on two occasions each week.
The pizza Restaurant had to be pre booked a day in advance, the food was great and it made a change from the main restaurant.

The bar and entertainment staff worked very hard, with entertaimnent around the pool during the day. The evening entertainment is the usual entertaiment that you find in an all inclusive hotel, however the entertaimnent area was very hot so we usually sat out on the terrace if a table was avaliable.

The pools were very clean however the tiles around the pool were very dangerous. In the two weeks that we were there numerous people has slipped breaking bones. We were however told that the hotel would be closing for a refit next year and this would include the pool area.

The hotel had its own small shingle beach with a jetty into the sea, loungers and umbrellas were avaliable along with canoes and pedlos which were run by a private company. When we were there the red flag was flying the majority of the time, so you were unable to use the pedaloes.

We would certainly go back to this hotel if we go back to Crete again.

This hotel is spotless.

We were lucky enough to get a bungalow overlooking the sea which was beautiful. The room was basic but had everything you needed. It was bright and airy but the workmanship could have been a little better.

Food was adequate. There was always something you could eat. The desserts and variety of breads were excellent. I would have liked a little more choice at the snack bar during the day. If you missed breakfast there was very little on offer until lunch. The taverna was a pleasant change and the kids loved the freshly cooked pizzas.

We booked this hotel because it was in a quiet location and that was what we wanted, not ideal if you have teenagers in your party. However if you want a livelier night out nearby towns are only a short taxi drive away. Hotel staff we found to be a bit hit and miss.

The 'egg' man could be particularly grumpy if you caught him on an off day.

Bar staff were lovely and the animation team worked very hard. Andrea who ran the kids club was full of energy and our 9 year old daughter really got attached to her.

Evening entertainment was the same as any other hotel we have stayed in mini-disco, bingo etc. We just enjoyed sitting on the beautiful patio area outside with a nice glass of wine.

Well me and my friends were all 17 when we went(classed as adults)and there is nothing we wud of changed about tis hotel, we were the only teens in this hotel(apart from 2 others) and we found that there was not that much there for the younger generation to do,which we didnt really mind because it was a nice relaxing friendly resort.

The hotel was very clean indeed with maid service reguarly. The location was not all that good as for you had to catch a taxi out of the hotel if wanted to go to another town.

We arrived at lunch time, and as we all belong to the same slimming club, the lunch we selected each was lovely. The different breads and the desserts are to die for, along with the selection of cocktails from the bar too!

The hotel porter was very helpful towards the four of us, he transfeed our cases to our bungalows and placed them on the bed for us. Well worth 5 Euros each to give to him.

Being all in our early 60's we earned the name of "The Golden Girls" from the friendly staff, this was then used by other holiday makers also.

The cleanliness, each morning by the "quiet pool" we would see the ladies out at approximately 6.30/7.00am cleaning, mopping, and scrubbing.

I can say hand on heart that I have not seen a hotel where the staff clean so much. Our bungalows, (we had 1 each as the suplement was only

On arrival at this hotel we were told that we could not shower or eat as there was a 2 hour power cut. Not a good start I thought! It turned out to be a correct thought. On five separate occasions there was no money in Reception to change travellers cheques. Games room was a joke. The table tennis table was at such an angle you could not play on it. This was rectified however, by a new one being installed. The pool table was covered in rips, again this was rectified half way through our holiday. The table football was not playable as it was positioned tight up against the wall, therefore, not allowing you to turn the handles. The area around the swimming pool was treacherous, particularly for children, many of which I saw fall. I enjoyed the food, but the choice was more or less the same every day. There was no separate children's menu.

Air conditioning was very good in the rooms which had it. Unfortunately the entertainment area and the reception did not. In the entertainments bar there was a strong smell of what we thought was paraffin every hour or so - not pleasant.

It's a shame there was so many negative points, as visually it has the potential to be a very good hotel.
We did have fabulous views from our balcony of the sea.

Serita Beach Hotel was well situated right on the sea front and we enjoyed one of the best rooms (279).

The photo in the brochure was very deceiving showing a fantastic beach front which was not so.

No childrens food was offered initially but when I did mention this to the restaurant manager this was changed.

The entertainment was mostly for the Germans and French.

The tiles at the swimming pool were lethal with many accidents taking place.....

Despite enjoying our holiday, I have to start on a negative note - because that's how our holiday started. The day before we were due to leave, we had a letter from our tour company, informing us that the hotel had overbooked and we would have to spend the first 3 nights of our 7 night holiday at their sister hotel (Rinella Beach) or accept a full refund (not an option at such a late stage!). Despite the hotel offering

After a five hour delay at the airport, we arrived at the Serita Beach around 2am to find the hotel staff very friendly. First impressions of hotel very clean. After signing in, we were directed to the restaurant where a light salad had been laid out for every guest, which we thought was a nice gesture. We then made our way to our room, which on the whole was very clean and spacious.

Unfortunately, our room backed onto the entertainment area which seemed to have a very intoxicating smell of diesel. Having spent an hour in the room and all beginning to feel headachy with sore throats, we decided to go to reception to ask for another room. We were told that there were no other rooms because the hotel was full and to come back in the morning. We returned to the room but could not stand the smell any longer, so we took our pillows and sheets and slept the remainder of the night in the reception area. On seeing our actions, the staff were very concerned for us and after breakfast we were moved to another room - much better!

The holiday from that point on was fantastic. The pools were clean, the rooms were clean, bright and airy, the restaurant staff were very friendly, especially to the children and we made very good friends with the animation team.

The food was good, a bit repetitive at times but that is what you come to expect with all inclusive. Breakfast was excellent - eggs, omelletes and pancakes cooked to order while you waited. Food was always hot and constantly being filled up when something ran low.

I would add, that the only other disappointing part of the hotel was that the entertainment was indoors, which became very hot and stuffy at times.

In all, a good holiday. Would go back maybe in a few years.

We arrived at this hotel a five in the morning, the hotel on arrival is very nice, as were the reception area, lots of nice clean setees.

When we checked in our luggage was taken to our room, wich was really nice and very clean, the best part was when we opened our curtains an outside was a beautiful patio, that led down to a beautiful pool and a wonderful sea view.

We had to go for a walk to look at the area, the hotel looked amazing, well kept gardens etc; we walked down to the beach but found it to be hardly any beach, but lots of rocks, not suitable for kids or adults as to get into the water you have to scramble over big boulders.
But only 5 min walk to the left of the hotel was a lovely beach.

The staff at the hotel were second to none always smiling and could not do enough for you, the food was average but there was two resturants to choose from the one buy the pool served lots of greek food kebabs of all kinds as well as pizza, there was no childrens area with burgers etc, so you might have a problem if you have fussy kids.

The bars were nice and you could get lots of different drinks as well as cocktails on the all inclusive, the hotel area is nothing to write home about as there is only on shop outside, the main town is 7 euros in a taxi but its a good town with lots of shops bars & resturants, but if you have all inclusive you dont really need to go to the town.

The children seemed well entertained as long as they were small, I think teenagers would get very bored as theres not a lot for them to do, all in all I found this hotel good and would go back again.
