Booked into this hotel as a resuLt of the XL crash.
Room in desperate need of upgrade, as the windows in the balcony door rattled when the wind blew, very noisy and annoying especially when trying to sleep at night.
Do prefer accomodation that has no bar, especially when you get strange looks when you walk passed to go out.
Annoyed at the lack of security with the room as we used to lock up when we went out, but due to the broken balcony door it was always wide open when we returned.
People have said that the new part of the hotel was good but we never had the chance to explore and find out.
Would definitely not choose to stay in this hotel again.

Due to the XL holiday crash I ended up hurridly booking another hotel in the resort of Stalis, the Soula Studios, to be honest for a weeks break i couldn't have been happier, cheap, clean rooms, quiet pool with a bar and food, the staff, especially George were really friendly and helpful. The resorts main strip where there are plenty of bars and restaurants is only a 5 minute stroll away, very strange to see them quiet at the end of the summer season though having been in the month of July 4 years previously.

Just got back from the Soula Apartments in Stalis, was a bit aprehensive when getting off the bus due to a rather unslightly tin shed!!, but it was unfounded, the apartments where lovely and clean and we got to stay in one of the newly built apartments and was the first people to stay in them, clean modern and everything you needed for a weeks holiday, apart from a toaster. There was a small bar and the pool was fairly small but was never crowded, and a mirical ocurred first thing in the morning no one put towels on beds, so whatever time we went down we got a sunbed FANTASTIC!!
The only down side was our apartment faced on to a rather busy road which was quite busy and noisey, but we got some lovely views towards the mountains. If you walked across the little path in the field you got to the beach in about 5 mins, if you walked around you got there in about 10. The apartments are family run and everyone was friendly but not in your face, and the B-B-Q on Sunday was really good it was 15 euro's for a huge plate of meat or various kinds and lots of mixed differnt salads, and later on there was greek dancing and karoke it was a lovely evening and well worth the money.
We had a lovely holiday and would return again to these apartments without a doubt, ask for a high floor room as some of the new apartments are quite low and have no view or natural sun, but this does have the added advantage of staying cool.
Stalis is a nice resort plenty of bars and resturants more towards the family and couples not 18 - 30's, beach was sandy and clean.
